The room was clean and spacious, the location was perfect for snorkeling, right in front there is a beautiful coral and sunken shrine. The mattress was pretty hard but I liked it and there was this giant pillow that I loved
The AC was barely working and it was pretty loud outside because there was a party. Not the owner's fault, I'm just stating that the room is not soundproof. Missing toilet paper, no shampoo or soap in the shower.

The uninterrupted views of the ocean from my first floor balcony.
Stepping from the Homestay restaurant downstairs straight into the ocean. One kick off the flippers and I was looking at tropical fish. Six kicks and I was l already gazing down at the colorful reef of Jemeluk Bay.
Very secure location.
Snorkel etc hire at right price from the Homestay.
I was fine, but getting to my upstairs room up a dozen steep would have been tough if I had dodgy knees. An easy but steep walk for those with good knees.

Value for money
Does not have car park

Nice landscaping inside the property.
A small dirt path to get to the property and the parking spot smelled and was littered with trash including an old mattress. Facilities were very poorly maintained — for example the bathroom sink fell off its mount while slightly leaning on it and the cabinet key was broken.

Location was awesome!
The owner was found to be rummaging threw my bag and my driver stopped him and then the drunk owner beat my driver!! DO NOT STAY HERE! MY DRIVER IS DEAF AND CANT SPEAK SO A VERY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE! I ALSO HAD $100 MISSING FROM MY BAG IN MY ROOM.. aircon was awful also..

Warung Jemeluk & Home Stay consists of several buildings. I stayed in Oceanroom #3 in the building located directly at the beach. Each of the two upstairs rooms has a private balcony with an unobstructed view of the water. The WiFi was very good with the router on the balcony. The restaurant and the kitchen are downstairs. There are a handful of loungers on the beach which can used free of charge by the guests. Mount Agung was unfortunately hidden in the clouds during my stay :(
The shower worked well, both warm and cold. The good sized bed was comfortable and clean. The small airconditioner worked ok but took a long time to become effective in the large room, so I mostly kept the double sliding door open to let in the sea breeze, going to sleep to the sound of the waves. I did not deploy the mosquito net since there were only very few bugs - the small resident geckos kept them in check.
A generous Bali breakfast was included in the room rate (banana pancake, large fruit plate, coffee, etc. ) and was delivered to me upstairs so I could enjoy it sitting on the balcony and see the fishing boats come in with their catch.
I had picked Jemeluk Bay especially for snorkeling and underwater photography.
Unfortunately, after heavy rain during most of the days of my stay, the sea was clouded from the water coming down a creek from the mountains. With pretty strong winds there were also fairly large waves which kept the particles in suspension. The day before I left, the sun came out and everything calmed down and I was able to take some good underwater photos of the corals and colorful fish. It is amazing that after only a steps from the beach you are surrounded with curious fish - no scuba gear or dive boat needed ! The best times are in the morning and just before sunset when the fish are feeding. I brought my own snorkel gear, but you can also rent it at the Warung. There is a shower at the entrance to the warung to rinse off the salt water.
As noted before, Warung Jemeluk & Home Stay consists of several buildings. All of them are located well off the busy Amed road, which is good since the noise of the motorcycles going up the hill can be very annoying,
However, when you arrive with a car, there is no driveway access to the homestay accommodation. Getting to the buildings entails a 200foot walk from the road on a narrow unpaved path through brush. When I arrived, the lady of the house graciously carried my suitcase to the room on her head..... ( I am 82 y.o. !) The path is pitch dark at night - a flashlight is a must when you go out for dinner in the evening ! Sadly, the path and surroundings were littered with discarded bottles and wrappings and were full of puddles after a rain.
Access to the upstairs rooms in the beachfront building is with a steep narrow stair that requires strong legs and is slippery in the rain.
The room is very nicely furnished and roomy but could do with a little TLC - eg. the lock on a cabinet, listed as a "safe" on Booking.com, did not work; The seat of a chair is broken. The floor in the bathroom is quite stained. Fixing those things would make the place a 10.

The owner and his relatives made noise with music

Simple homestay right on the beach. Nice and spacious room, can snorkel and chill on the beach front. Good value for the money, simple breakfast whenever I wanted in the morning.
Using plastic straws and no water refill for reusable bottles. Took awhile for the Aircon to work since the room in so big. wifi works well but drops out every once in a while. Bit hard to find, need a better sign since there is no actual road down there.
