Great hotel to stay at but location far from city

The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Wonderful massage treatments by Elaine

I will be back

Everything was top notch from the minute we stepped inside the door. Reception staff very friendly, room was very comfortable, bar food and staff were great down to the breakfast the following morning. The lady assisting at the breakfast was very friendly and had time for everyone who entered the room. She was like a mother to us all.

Für eine Nacht war die Unterkunft annehmlich. Aber einen weiteren Aufenthalt würden wir nicht mehr in Betracht ziehen.

Freundliches Personal beim Frühstück

In einem Zimmer war der Teppich durch einen Wasserschaden komplett nass und es gestunken. Des Weiteren lag auf dem Dach viel Unrat.

Schönes Schwimmbad. Insgesamt den Preis nicht wert.

Das Schwimmbad ist das Highlight. Negativ siehe unten. Das Bad ist ok, aber für 4* und den entsprechenden Preis enttäuschend. Die Lage ist ok, aber nicht zentral. Dafür sind Parkplätze am Hotel vorhanden und im Preis inklusive.

Leider werden Kinder, auch ältere, egal wie leise und wie lieb, Punkt 19:00 Uhr aus dem Schwimmbad rausgeworfen. Kein Verständnis dafür. Wir hatten in einen 3-Bett-Zimmer nur 2 Handtücher und 2 Tassen. Duschen ist nur in der Badewanne möglich, das Wasser ist entweder kalt oder heiß, lässt sich nicht richtig einstellen. Einen Fön haben wir nach intensiver Suche im Schreibtisch (???) gefunden, dieser war jedoch nur kalt und entsprechend ineffektiv. Lage etwas außerhalb. Restaurants gab es nur in 1km Entfernung. 1 Nacht, ohne Frühstück, für 1 Erwachsener und 2 Teenager kosteten 230 EUR. Zu viel bei den vielen Minuspunkten.

Break away

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and staff were friendly

The water in the shower wasnt very warm and I asked about it at reception that evening if staying and in the morning it was still not very warm 🙄

Breakfast is late but it's a lovely place.

It was nice and clean.

There was a huge queue for breakfast at 6.45am. Had to wait 15 mins for the doors to open at 7.00am. It is late in my opinion. Once the doors were opened the queues were quicker as people were serving themselves but it was still a while before I could sit down to eat at 7.15am. Rushed my breakfast to leave for work at 7.45am. I wasn't expecting it. Breakfast should be from6am at least.

Peaceful stay

Kind & helpful receptionist, always with a smile. Great location with regards to parking available for a car & a bus stop nearby to the city centre. The room was spacious and comfortable, tricky to navigate the hot water on the shower.. though after some trial & error it's manageable. All the essentials in the room for a pleasant cup of tea.

I was pleasantly surprised at the large size of our hotel room for this stay.

I liked the size of our room. Compared to other hotels we stayed in within Dublin, our room at the Bonnington Hotel was quite large. We had plenty of space to spread out and move around within our suite. It was a lovely room.

The hotel lifts were tiny and the building seemed to be structurally old. We enjoyed our stay and did not have any issues with either of these topics - they were the only components of the stay I did not like.

Bed was comfy ,room was clean ,breakfast was meh

Breakfast was freezing ,,steam room wasn't working , half of dublin was using the jacuzzi and pool that went guests i understand its a leisure club but maby allocate when public uses it e.g time slots ? Paid by cash they had my card on details? Still took 150 cash off me at reception I only got 140 back this morning?10 euro for what? brawl in the bar last night.

The hotel is in need up renovation in the mean time the carpets need to be cleaned.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, they always greeted you with a smile.

No outside area to sit, carpets in desperate need of cleaning. Office chair in the bedroom needs to be thrown away it was tired and smelt.

Bad experience

it was a good place to spend a night to rest for business but the next day not having water in the bathroom ruined everything

A horrible experience. I only slept one night in the hotel and woke up with no water in the bathroom, unable to wash myself. Very bad planning to give me this room knowing that they were going to do maintenance and very bad problem resolution.

We love you Irish people and the smiles we saw. Your bar and restaurant are excellent. Rooms..well,

Lorraine in the bar area was excellent. Your food...the curry and fish were wonderful. Bar service: excellent. Food...hot and tasty. Enjoyed the quaintness of the hotel.

Repair: the toilet continually ran and wasted water. The Door at 2021 (I think) did not work and we needed to go to desk to continually get in. Minor repairs needed here and there. The double bed in the first room we stayed was so-so. Wish we would have requested two beds. Small bed it was. Front desk personel could be more responsive and better trained.

Clean, comfortable and convenient!

Really clean and comfortable rooms, good location near bus stops towards the airport or into central Dublin. Leisure centre and swimming pool there, but didn't get time to use them.

Very limited TV channels available. (Mostly local Irish news.)o

Warm rooms with warm people, but not a 4 star hotel.

Staff was very friendly and really trying to sort out problems.

Had to change my room twice. In the first one the bed sheets were wet, in the second one the TV was not wifi connected and couldn’t show Netflix. The spa is not to a spa standard really. it’s just an old swimming pool with some saunas. really ran down surroundings. you need to buy a swimming cap and also a lock for your belongings. so it’s not like you go to a spa hotel and relax and don’t think.

The rizz man, he seemed to pull a lot of girls ;) bar manager of mcgettins I think... The bar of mcgettins was very cool , good scenery Staff were very friendly though and helpful

Where do we start.... Our bed had blood stains on it Lift had so many missing buttons, barely worked Our mirror had dents and cracks Our bed was so uncomfortable Decided they were gonna do maintenance at 1am, was so loud.. couldn't sleep Defo some sort of money laundering on Not a fabulous hotel for Ireland i guess but not the worst, maybe it was just our room....
