SIMPLY FABULOUS.
Amazing large, well-designed, well-equipped, elevated cabin at treetop height (5+ metres above ground). built with excellent quality materials & with lots of thoughtful touches.each cabin remote from the others.
well worth a visit.

We spent a magical night in the treetops in the Philosopher’s Perch. The setting was straight of the movies! Very creative and authentic treehouse feel, but with comfortable beds and bathroom. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful location in the trees near sedgefield, the view was awesome, the lodge had everything we needed for self catering and options for DIY meals. The rooms were spacious and clean with lovely shampoo, conditioner, etc... there were electric blankets and air conditioners in each room, so we were warm. The staff were very friendly and helpful and explained everything at checkin. We ran out of gas and Anthony was there in 10 minutes to fix it. Everything was perfect, even the weather, while we were there. We came in the winter. Nice pool and activity room with pool table, bar and soccer table, among other things. Have been wanting to come here for a while and glad I did, will come back for longer to enjoy the many walks into the surrounding forest. The kids loved their lodge which was more open and adventurous. Highly recommended for nature lovers.
A bit noisy when there is wind, due to the flapping of the tent sides, this was only in our lodge, the kids didn't have this problem. Still had an awesome time.

The views and privacy. We stayed in the Gorge view which had an amazing view into the gorge. The cabin had everything you needed in terms of kitchen utensils and the electric blanket and aircon really helps heat the place in winter. Beatrice was really friendly and very welcoming. There is also a bar with a pool table, foosball and darts. Overall this was an excellent experience and a perfect place to get away.

We loved the remoteness, natural landscapes and natural soundscapes. Their facilities and accomodation was very clean and they went above and beyond to assist us. We had 3 visitors from their rain spiders. LOL cutest creepy legs every.
I would be lying if I said there was.

spacious and clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were just unfortunate that it was terribly windy and raining. but that was beyond anyone’s control. This caused the tent cover to be noisy. Anthony the owner and Beatrice were friendly and very helpful. They were kind enough to allow us a late check out so we could take advantage of the good weather the next day. A unique opportunity to stay at Treetops.

Pearl of tranquillity, great location for a complete decompression and a braai off the beaten path. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen (watch out for monkeys - they will find a way to steal your food) if you miss anything - ask Beatrice, and she will be delighted to help you.

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful and the location is stunning! I didn’t want to leave the tree house as it was so peaceful. Also loved the pool and all the animals on the property! Definitely recommend!
You have to pay to check in past 18:00.

this place is just what we needed as a couple to regroup and connect. with only the birds, monkeys, and stars as distractions, we were in heaven. The forest is something out of a fairy tale and the blood red water of the river only added to the feeling of otherworldly-ness. The owner has taken so much care to make this place inviting and magical and his down to earth approach made us feel right at home. In fact, we added an extra night to our stay because we just couldn’t imagine leaving!
Not a thing!

Unfortunately there are no 10 stars to rate this experience, otherwise we would have given that.
The staff is super nice and accommodating.
We arrived in a blazing thunderstorm an hour late and they stayed for us and upgraded us to a more luxurious suite and we were greeted by a water spider.
Our stay of one night was way too short and we were too chicken to watch the lightning from outside the suite. But what an experience!
Would have loved to see a sunset over the gorge.
Thank you !!!
Absolutely nothing, well, we did not see the monkeys and it was too short of a stay.

We loved the tranquil scenery and waking up to the beautiful birdsong. The cabin was lovely with a warm and cosy feel to it.
Everything was great!
If you're not a spider fan, then reconsider.
