3.7
The hotel is situated in the old town very close to all amenities and sites of interest. It was comfortable and provided a good breakfast and there was also a bar and restaurant on site.
Nothing

I have been staying at Schnookeloch for almost 50 years. Always a joy! The rooms are well renovated and kept.
The steep stairs, but that's because I'm getting older!

The location was really good and the stuff (at the other hotel, where the check-in and breakfast takes place) were really friendly.
The wifi did not work at all. And I did not have a desk in my room. I went to Heidelberg for work reasons, and I could not even check my e-mail on the hotel. The only way to have internet is to use your own mobile data, which is a problem if you don't have enough or you don't have an European sim card. So it was only good for sleeping and nothing else, but the value was too much for that. Honestly, I would not recommend it. If you only need to sleep then I guess there are better places for cheaper prices. But the wifi was working at the other hotel (where check-in takes place), so I would guess that is better to stay there.

A bit confused when we couldn't find the entrance but the staff was so nice and room was cleaned, big and in the great location for walking around the town.
None

Breakfast was good. Overall the hotel was fine. While not a 4 star hotel, it was a very good value for the cost. I would not hesitate to it recommend it for a value conscious traveler.
Check-in was a little confusing, but was explained on the web site. As an American I do not like the standard German hotel beds and linens but that is a personal preference, not a specific critique of the hotel. That is the reason I rated the beds poorly.

The location
No wifi. Too much noise early in the morning from the garbage collectors. No full size mirror in the room.

Hotel has very good breakfast. Location is very good
No

the wi-fi only briefly worked for an hour or two, and then nothing for the rest of the two days, but it did work in the main hotel where I had breakfast

Love the convenience of its location!
Nothing😃

Everything . If I come to Heidelberg I would stay in this hotel.
It would be nice if they served espresso during the breakfast.

the staff is nice, will help you with anything you need. location is also good if you want to visit the castle and the old town
breakfast is not bad but very simple, just coffee and a sandwich
the wifi barely works, the heating wasn't on when we came and took a while to get going

Super friendly staff. Good breakfast. Updated bathrooms. Next to the old bridge and in the middle of everything.

Perfect location for holidays. Very quiet. Totally refurbished with good quality materials.
If you go to Heidelberg for a meeting, it is quiet far from the medical campus. 30 minutes walking.
The table in the room was small for working

Sleep / Eating / Parking are separated in 3 difference places
Not so easy to understand.
But its true

Location, attitude and kindness of the staff was amazing, we couldn't have been luckier. They offered two single beds which was great for us.
The internet didn't really work in the room, the signal was too weak if any, and we would've loved to use that.
3.7
Good breakfast, great location in old town
Stairwell was very narrow and awkward, but its in an old building.
3.7
Close to the town, good bathroom, breakfast OK
No lift so getting up 2 flights of stairs with luggage was a challenge. Breakfast is served in a sister hotel so if its raining not a pleasant experience

Breakfast was not bad. Staff was helpful and accommodating.
A bit dusty.

I have been a guest at Schnookeloch for over 40 years, through different owners and management. Schnookeloch ist my "Stammlokal" when I am staying in Heidelberg and the location, staff and accommodation are excellent.
As I get older, the stairs up to the single rooms on the third floor become more of an adventure, but I wouldn't change anything.

Super location
3.7
It is in the heart of Heidelberg, walking distance to all the main attractions and a lot of bars and restaurants around it
It was warm and they have no airco - only a small fan. We had to open up the windows which made it noisy and not very fresh either. If they could put an airco, it would be perfect.

The bathroom and shower was excellent. Room was large woth plenty of storage space and seating areas. The location was superb and close to everything in the old town.
It was hard to find the check in and staff were unhelpful when asked. Breakfast had limited choice and was not customisable which meant for much food waste. The room had only low lighting.
