Rooms - clean and comfortable
Restaurant - excellent food, go for the menu of the day option (plat du jour) pricing is more reasonable but still takes some off the a la carte items
Could do with extra pillows

Nothing. it is lovely.

A comfortable room with views over the river. A good dinner. The staff were pleasant and helpful .

location was good and breakfast excellent
thé restaurant was overpriced and pretentious. the quality of the food was ok but not worth the money. the wine was probably marked up at over 600% on supermarket prices.
3.6
The position on the river is superb.
The restaurant in the hotel was excellent

It was very comfortable for me and my pets, the staff was very helpful too. Safe location to walk your dog around the hotel as well.
Can't say

I love the restaurant here ! the accommodation is basic but good value with a lovely view over the river - but I come for the food
3.6
The breakfast was ordinary but the dinner was first class. Excellent situation with a beautiful outlook. Staff very friendly
The rooms needed updating
3.6
The food was superb if the choice a little limited. For 2/3 nights it's OK. For longer one would run out of options. Location on the Olivet Canal is wonderful. The Local authority has made a big effort to cater for walking, cycling and for families. Many interesting old mills. Unfortunately none are in working order. Lots of really helpful plaques explaining the history. Beautiful outdoor swimming pool, very busy with families. Really great area with lots to do.
Breakfast somewhat limited. The addition of muesli, for instance would help.

we love the location
the beds need to be improved
3.6
Wonderful location, very picturesque
Not sure air con was working properly
3.6
location and restaurant
air conditioning did not work
3.6
The location is really charming right on the river with a lovely view. As previous reviews have said the restaurant and the view are great. The hotel is comfortable but a little tired and the rooms/bathroom are not big. No air con so the warning about not opening the windows because of bugs whilst helpful made it a very warm nights sleep. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The dinner was very good and the breakfast was adequate.
Rooms are bijou and no air con.

lovely location (apart from the mosquitoes from the river).
Room was very tight. The phrase "snagging list" kept coming to mind. The food was good ... but not THAT good: eye-wateringly expensive.
3.6
Beautiful location even in November, great restaurant, clean comfortable rooms.
No issues at all.
3.6
A quiet place along the beautiful loiret river.
Very good place - I would only recommend greater choice and product availability for the breakfast.
3.6
Staff courteous and polite
3.6
The location on the River Loiret is stunning, plus it is convenient for the motorways (A71/A10). The dinner was, as usual, very good, with good wine.
The rooms (5 & 6) are awful: far too small, beds too small, pillows horrible, bathrooms small and VERY gloomy, no pleasant toiletries, mismatched bedside lights, far too few power points for us to have lights on and charge phones, iPAds and laptops at the same time. Noisy too: sound-proofing between rooms and floors is inadequate. Breakfast was limited and poorly served, due to only one staff member available who also had check-out duties at the same time. Restaurant gloomy and impersonal both at dinner and breakfast. It all desperately needs upgrading as the excellent food and location aren't enought to make us want to stay again, after 20 years of frequent visits. Clealry lacks sufficient investment.
3.6
The location both for convenience ie easy to find, not far from A75, easy to get into Orleans itself and the Beauty of where the Hotel stands on the Loiret as well as the quality of the food and wine make this a great place to stay.
You do not go to Le Rivage for comfort. The bedrooms are quite small and whilst there has been some redecoration and upgraded bedding the bathrooms are in need or refurbishment. However, the good points greatly outweigh these adverse points
3.6
Nice room, reasonable breakfast and a very good dinner.
bathrooms could do with upgrading.
3.6
the dinner was excellent and the location under the trees on the riverbank terrace was lovely.
The bedroom was appropriate for the price and had a lovely view over the river.
room was very warm and there was no airco, or if there was it did not work!
3.6
Breakfast was good though coffee was served in jug without a cover so cooled rather quickly.
We arrived very late but they were still able to serve us dinner.
Cool coffee (see above)
Room quite small.
3.6
Lovely river views from our room and very good restaurant on-site.
Everything was fine

We booked an overnight stay during our trip to Southern France. Our vacation started in le Rivage! Beatiful scenery.

Lovely setting

The room was comfortable and we were given a free upgrade. Dinner was excellent

This is a restaurant with rooms and is situated on the banks of a small river. Dinner is excellent and breakfast is a very adequate buffet.
Very convenient location within easy reach of the autoroute.
