Location
No breakfast basic room

We booked the hotel as we were attending a concert at the Piece Hall. The location was excellent. 100 yards from Halifax train station and 200 yards to the Piece Hall. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly.
The bathroom tap was loose and there were some small mold spots in the bathroom (but not of major concern). The room itself was a little dated and could do with a quick revamp.
3.4
It’s location to the peace hall
It was a bit cold and I couldn’t find the heating thermostat
3.4
The hotel is full of character with old furniture. £5 for 24 hour parking 100 metres from the train station and round the corner from Peace Hall and restaurants.
Felt like a lot of stairs especially with a suitcase.
3.4
We were going to a concert at Halifax Piece Hall & the hotel is almost next door so the location is excellent.
The bedroom furniture & bathroom were quite dated. But it was fine for an overnight stay, which is what we wanted.
We did not use the bar/restaurant so can't comment on these areas.
3.4
Great location - perfect for the train station and Piece Hall. The staff were nice but could have been a bit more helpful / informative.
Old, dank, cheaply decorated, tired, dirty, depressing. No lift to get to the fourth floor. No hotel information. Felt worried leaving my car overnight in the car park. Walls extremely thin.
3.4
Room was clean bed was comfy and was near where I wanted to go too staff friendly I enjoyed my stay and I'll be back again soon
All was good

Breakfast was very good
Hotel is very tired looking needs updating. Mainly the rooms and thr corridors. Restaurant area was nice.

Close to The Piece Hall where we were attending a concert
We had an executive room!!! it was filthy, dust everywhere, the cold tap in the bathroom just ran hot water, so no cold. The furniture was very old, dated and in bad repair. The décor was bad needed a complete overhaul, chipped paint... Curtains were sticking out by 6 inches so not dark. Complimentary water had been opened. Grouting on tiles very grubby.
1 towel between 2 and when we rang for more no answer. Staff very illusive and didn't really want to be there.
Overall a terrible experience and we will not be going back there.

The night of our stay and in the morning there was multiple staff members who came into our room even though the door was locked. We felt as if we had no privacy.
My face is infected from bed bug bites from the stay in this hotel.
The bathroom was full of mould and was not cleaned.
3.4
Room was clean and bed comfortable
There was no bedside table/shelf. No mat in bathroom. No shelf in shower to put soap/shampoo on.
3.4
The location of the hotel right next to the station and very close to the Piece Hall so excellent for events. I liked the large Tv & coffee & tea facilities and the bed was clean and comfortable. We ate in the bar and the burger & chips was very good quality.
The room was very basic and dated & there was mould on the ceiling around the bathroom window. There was no hairdryer in the room. It was very expensive for room only and the carpark was an extra £5
3.4
Good location. Next to train station and piece hall
The room was awful, nothing like the pictures. We were awoken at 4am by the people in the next room getting back from their night out singing. The walls were paper thin and also had holes in.
The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years with dust and mould and also had no toilet paper. We paid over £100 per night for a room that you wouldn’t want your dog to stay in
3.4
Hotel was straight across from the rail station and about 300 metres from the concert venue. Couldn't ask for better than that. The reception staff were very friendly and booking in was no problem at all. The room was clean and adequately sized. Only down side was it was up three flights of stairs. The bar was well laid out and had a moderate selection of beers and spirits. In the morning when checking out we were allowed to leave our bags till nearer the time for our train. A massive bonus.
The room was up three flights of stairs
3.4
Room was too hot. The bedroom doors all close with a loud bang. There were people coming back to the hotel until 4am and made no attempt to be quiet. Bottom line we had a very poor night's sleep. Room cleanliness didn't bear much scrutiny. Dirty under the bed and furniture, Grimy corners in the bathroom.
3.4
The location is fantastic. 100 yards from concerts at Piece Hall.
The room, and most of the interior of hotel in general, was very much in need of decorating. Looked like it was many years overdue.

Terrible but English Standard WTF
Schmutzig dreckig Schimmel unhygienisch
3.4
Helpful staff. close to the railway station & 10' walk into the town centre.
Room on top floor was very small as was the toilet/shower room. No lifts, just stairs.
3.4
convenient situated by the train station and piece hall
rail in cupboard was broken, mould in the bathroom and overall not very clean. linen was clean.
3.4
Absolutely appalling. The room was disgusting and staff were rude. Following my stay I got called by a staff member called Ahmed and accused of stealing a duvet. I got harassed by the staff in some scam to try and keep my deposit, absolutely disgusting to stay somewhere and be accused of stealing.
Tiny room, smelt disgusting and poor facilities.
3.4
Great location opposite the station. Clean. Friendly staff.
No complaints. Decent hotel and good price.
3.4
Lovely hotel
It was all good
3.4
The bed was comfortable
The heating wasn't working, no shower mat or bathe mat until requested. The bare wasn't open despite photos on the Booking.com website
3.4
all was good.
No bath robes and there was a poor internet connection
3.4
Room location was facing the next door. I liked the location of the hotel because it was across the train station. There was no food served. Was told restaurant was separate from the hotel
At least to offer breakfast. Also for flexibility in checking in time. I felt the man I met at the reception was a bit rigid about this, having been beaten by the rain the day I arrived and I had to wait
3.4
We didn't like that it was falsely advertised. The pictures on booking.com were not as it was. There was no bar or dining area. Also the outside space was nothing like the picture. No greenery no tables and chairs just a skip. I appreciate that they were doing work on the hotel but this was stated when we booked it. Very disappointed with booking.com

A great second day as am for a week so I can come and and escape and have me time

What I did not like : Dodgy area , poor night Porter attacked , I did not feel safe on my own around the area after work i was advised it’s shutting down for renovation , it’s mouldy around the windows , discoloured around the bath tiles , extremely tired snd dated , paper thin walls , I thought the snoring room next door was in my room , I could hear everyone’s conversations , nobody took rubbish I requested room serviced after 3 nights and was told they were busy on the morning and gad to call twice to request new towels when I realised they had not been in , bins full to the brim , I was there for 6 nights and had request toilet rolls aswell as towels
Please read the comments in the other section of my feedback of what I did not like , no facilities except fridges at entrance not like photos

The receptionist was grate helpful cary my things on arrival and my leaving

It was a very cold day and the room was very warm. Lovely and cosy. The location is excellent, just opposite the station. The receptionist was very friendly. It was a very good price.
There were a lot of stairs, I didn't mind as I prefer a good view, but it might bother some people.
3.4
The bed was comfortable and the staff were polite.
Both bar and restaurant were closed.
I have stayed here many times in the past, however this hotel now has a very 'neglected' feel about it.
