Heel fijne dagen in een mooi hotel.

De ligging. Prachtig uitzicht. Fijne kamer. Restaurant met goed eten. Aardige bediening.

Buiten leuke stoeltjes, maar niet prettig om lang op te zitten. Bij het zwembad staan wel een paar goede stoelen, maar die zijn te zwaar om te verplaatsen.

Lovely stay in historic hunting lodge with on site restaurant and winery. Would definitely return.

A beautiful location deep in Umbria with lovely pool and grounds off the beaten path. An old hunting lodge.The staff was friendly with check in and helpful with our luggage. Room was as described, two bedrooms and plenty of towels etc. We were able to have dinner in their restaurant and experience their wines made there as well. Both were great and the menu served lots of local fowl and game. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh and hearty breads, varied and fresh juices, cheeses and charcuterie, cakes and tarts. Service was always accommodating. We did not have time to take advantage of the cooking classes, we were committed to vineyard visits in Umbria and Tuscany. Perhaps next time:)

We would have loved a tour of the property and the vineyard. We were not informed of the winery until we actually had dinner the first evening. There was also a happy hour we didn't know about until after the first day. Some notes in the rooms about these possibilities would have been helpful and informative. An extra 5-10 minutes of explanation about things we could participate in at check in would have been welcome. A short tour would also have been welcome.

Beautiful, comfortable, old world charm.

Beautiful location, charming, elegant old world feel. Great service & food, comfortable beds.

Ants in our bed whilst staying in La Pollaio, however, Eva transferred us to La Contessa room, which was beautiful, but, it had no shower, only a bath with a hand held shower head. Totally inadequate, unless one wanted to have a bath every morning!

A great place to come to get away from it all and yet have great service and be close to the best parts of beautiful Umb

Lovely house, comfortable and relaxed with great staff and a welcoming owner, loved the wine and loved the cookery course.

The staff were wonderful, the views are incredible and the house is really beautiful and welcoming. The wine tasting and cooking class were excellent! We went for our honeymoon and would definitely love to come back!

Agriturismo LaGhirlanda Wine Resoort was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make any arrangements we needed. We had the Cardinal suite and it was beautiful! It was spacious, spotless and had plenty of natural light. I wish we had booked longer. Our breakfast was tailored for myself and husband. Delicious!! The bed was comfortable and the views from all of our windows was magical. I will definitely return if we come back to this area for a long period of time. We are from California. Thank you to all the staff especially the manager and bookkeeper. Both were amazing and made our trip memorable!!!!

Beautiful place and scenery, a bit isolated and disconnected staff

Beautiful property and family room had lots of space with nice decor and comforts. The views were amazing and the pool was refreshing.

The food was disappointing: Breakfast with limited choice and the same spread day after day. Dinner had only one set menu with no a la carte options which didn’t suit our tastes. Luckily the nearby restaurant at the Aethos hotel was fabulous. This is important because it is a tricky drive at night to get from Ghirlanda to any surrounding city. Also no staff around to help with bags or check in on you. Farm and vineyards takes priority which can be expected for an Agriturismo.

Lovely house, location and atmosphere, simple improvements could make it special.

Charming old house, beautiful rural location, and wonderful views. Friendly staff.

We had the last room which was adequate but not especially relaxing and the garden area around looked unloved. Rather a shabby feel. Communication issues between reception staff and kitchen as pre informed food intolerance was not passed on and the fixed menu was entirely different to the menu outlined to us by staff and unfortunately one of us was unable to eat two courses of the menu due to the intolerance. WiFi did not work in our room throughout stay until one hour before departure, however the staff did try hard to fix this and were generally very pleasant and helpful. Think we were just unlucky with the problems encountered.

pity that you have to pay extra for a cappuccino or an egg for breakfast. Bit strange for a reasonable paid stay. Room although nice could be more comfortable with chairs on terras and a fridge and or coffee machine.

A rare find.

Fabulous food and wine. Lovely welcoming staff. The most amazing views. Peaceful and relaxing.

The bed was a little too firm, but that is irrelevant compared to the views, food, wine and service.

A home away from home

This place is like a hidden gem. It feels like a home away from home. The relaxed days followed by evening dinners is exactly what a holiday is meant to be! We will definitely be back as my only regret was not booking this place for a longer stay.

Super resort with a great view.

Great hotel! Very clean rooms with a beautiful view. The air-conditioning works very good. Lovely staff. Great pool for chilling Delicious food at the restaurant

Lovely relaxing spot to explore in the area with good food and fantastic views.

The house and grounds are lovely. The food exceptional and good value. The staff were helpful and professional.

There should have been water provided in the rooms. As there is no tea or coffee making facilities water was needed. It was not evident how we could get a drink when sitting by the pool. We were advised someone went to the pool each afternoon to ask but it never happened when we were there.

Umbria feels like luxury destination when you stop here

Amazing hospitable staff ready to accomodate guests with family warmth. Cozy stylish and very special rooms with spectacular views to the valley. Wine tour was worth trying as well.

Some fixes were required during our stay due to the first week of the season. but everything has been resolve in a due time with a lot of care to us.

A great old money retreat with excellent food and wine which make you feel at home !

The dinner every night is just great ! The five courses and great wine every night were a real surprise. There is absolutely no need to go anywhere else. The serene rest and view at the swimmingpool made our stay a real treat.

Communication during our great dinners about the food and where it came from could have been a real added value. For example we heard from other guests that the beef came from very special cows owned by the landlord himself.

Everything was great. The staff Sara and Elenora were exceptional ! Dinner ! We had three dinners. Don't miss it , really ! The best in umbria. The Breakfast was exeptional as well. We had a very good time here We highly recomend rhe place . Dont forget the cooking class with Amalia .

A perfect getaway to relax and enjoy a fantastic hospitality

We stayed in the junior suit which was beautiful, spacious and stylish. The 5 course dinner is a must have, staffs are extremely friendly and helpful and of course the swimming pool was a bonus that made us feel instantly relaxed.

Nice place to stay

- The food was great. Wide variety of local ingredients. Be sure to have the dinner there. - Staff was friendly, but nothing special. We would have appreciated more local knowledge of places to visit and eat. - Location was beautiful.

- The restaurant plays loud music from 7pm onwards. Our room was on the first floor and we heard a constant loud base sound. Weren't able to sleep because of it. I chose this place for the peace and quiet. - The bed was small and very hard. I couldnt lie straight. - I love dogs, but the owner dog just keeps barking non-stop when a car leaves or arrives. Quite annoying.

Hidden pearl in Umbrie, we loved the food, wine and the coyntryside...

This was our best experience ever, great hospitality and superb food and views. Being the first guests of the 2020 summer season we stayed a week at the farmhouse. We rate our stay as our best Italian experience ever.
