We enjoyed the pool and Onsen.
The pool and the Onsen. There was also a game room and a small play area. The room we stayed in was nice and it had a lovely view. The staff were very nice and helpful.
That I could not get food. I was there with my two children. We could not reserve any dinner. Also, we witnessed a fight between two staff members, which for Japan and for a hotel was very rare! This scared my children. I spent all evening try to help them understand that the two men were not bad men. It was disappointing to say the least.

Superb
The stay was great. It's like stepping back in time. The hotel is older style, but facilities are great, service was great. Only downside was WiFi slow, and we didn't book food with our room. This meant we couldn't eat at hotel as the restaurants were "full". It did mean we could get the hotel free shuttle bus into town and explore. We came across some fantastic restaurants, and of course a massive supermarket. There is a family mart- 7/11 within 5 min walk. Kids didn't leave the pool- was great fun.

Old school hospitality
This is a very nice old hotel by the sea, really nice views of the sea, a great pool, playroom for the kids, great private onsen options, massive rooms, amazing breakfast and lovely staff.
It’s expensive but competitive for what’s around. I understand covid has caused many problems but an email giving us a headsup that no food would be available in the evening would’ve been nice. The only problem we had really and it wasn’t a bother as we could drive to a nearby restaurant

The classic onsen hotel experience for a family!
An amazing local Awaji food was served in our room at dinner. An amazing sea view from a Japanese style room. Attentive staff. Highly recommend for someone interested in a classic cultural holiday.
The booking.com didn't give a choice for non smoking room so even the bedding smelled like tobacco smoke. And the smell was quite unpleasant.
