This is indeed a guesthouse. After 1 night in a place that was not great, I booked Guest House Crocus for the remainder of my stay. Though I did checkout a few days early.
- You get breakfast every day. You can choose the time (e.g. between 9am-11am). The variation in the breakfast was welcome, but I'd say that the regular oatmeal and rice-based "oatmeal" were nice. The rice one was new for me. I forget the other selections, but never had a problem with them. See my pictures.
- Chinara is a great host. I added her number on WhatsApp to be able to communicate message more easily. I do not speak Russian, so I appreciate the patience with Yandex and Google Translation.
- I was not rushed for payments, and paid after my first 3 nights. Then again after another three. I paid in cash.
- There are two convenience stores and a pharmacy just one block up, a 3 minute walk.
Getting to Chuy Avenue (best street) takes longer, and you may want to use YandexGo to get a ride.

WARNING! 90% of driver swerve around the most miniscule potholes, dips, air vents, and manholes in the road. Yet they drive fairly modern cars (albeit many have cracked windshields_. It makes no sense. It's annoying. They already drive impatiently and too quickly at times, and it's dangerous, with them coming within inches of bumping into pedestrians. For what reason? Because there's a 1-2 inch dip in the road. In short, the driving is bad.

My room seemed to have a draft or something, as it stayed colder than I expected. Good deal in the summer months, but you'll otherwise want to keep your warm socks on, and not lounge around in a t-shirt. It's possible to pay on-site to get some laundry done. I never opted for this. Since a family lives in the other part of the house, it's better to be back before 11 I guess. The front door didn't always cooperate with the key I had.
No real complaints. However, I think the front door will not allow me to open it with a key, if the key is left in the keyhole on the other side. Therefore, when you lock the front door at night, remove the key. That way, a guest returning from the outside, will be able to use their key to unlock the door from the outside. In short, both keys cannot be in the door at the same time. Otherwise, the key on the outside will not be able to unlock the door.

Cosy accommodation for any kind of travelers.
You always can ask friendly owners for advice or assistance.
I enjoyed my stay here for whole month and definitely stay again my next trip to Bishkek.

There's a pretty nice atmosphere in this guest house. I felt like I am at home. A hostess is the best.

The family is really nce. We also stayed here 15 years ago. And it looks like the time stood still.

The hostess, Zoya, was welcoming and helpful. She even had the A/C turned on for when I arrived, which was much appreciated. My room was large and comfortable and overlooked their beautiful garden with the mountains in the distance. Zoya helped me to find Ira, the friendly taxi driver who took me to Ala Archa and the airport. I had to leave at 1:30 in the morning for the airport, and Zoya's husband was there to make sure I got out okay. Although the guesthouse is not within walking distance of the city center, there are restaurants around, and the neighborhood is quiet.
The bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower curtain changed out since it was moldy.

The first thing I’d like to mention about this house is a family who owns it. They are intelligent, wise and always ready to help in any questions you have about the accommodation, where to go in Bishkek or how to get to some place.
My experience was pretty good and I loved my cozy and lovely room with a private bathroom. The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep right away. On the next morning the host impressed me by beautifully served breakfast which was so delicious and diverse.

Very kind, talkative and helpful owner. She didnt speak English well, but perfectly enough for basic communication. Rooms are equipped with private comfortable bathrooms and A/C. Beatiful courtyard to sit.
Whole house is a bit old fashioned, but still comfortable.
