I’m disappointed today

The location is great the views unbeatable

The service of the hotel staff was not great there was one woman that seemed to like her job the other server was or seemed very interested in being elsewhere Paying the price for the hotel which was not cheap it ruins the experience when you have to deal with unhappy staff so therefore will not recommend or be back

Extrem schlechter Service in nettem Ambiente

Die Lage des Hotels ist super schön und der Ausblick ein Traum. Es gab immer genug freie Liegen an den beiden Pools. Das Hotel ist wirklich schön gestaltet, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen hat uns immer gut geschmeckt, es gab eine Menge Auswahl und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis beim Essen und den Getränken war vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Zimmerreinigung war auch wirklich gut, obwohl sie an Tag 1 einfach mal ausgefallen ist.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider keine Sitzecke und das französische Doppelbett war 1,20 m breit. Wir schliefen dann getrennt, zum Glück war noch ein Einzelbett im Zimmer. Hervorzuheben ist leider der wirklich unterirdische Service. Es macht den Eindruck, als wäre jede Bestellung eine Störung des Personals. Auf ein Dankeschön erfolgt keine Antwort und oft wird genervt gestöhnt, wenn man bestellen möchte. Das Personal wirkt extremst lustlos und macht auch schon mal ein Nickerchen an der Bar. Essensbestellungen dauern immer 1 Stunde, das kriegt man allerdings schon beim Check-In mitgeteilt. Das Geschirr - gerade Tassen und Gläser - waren oft dreckig. Da mein Spanisch nicht das Beste ist, war die Verständigung manchmal schwierig. Was vollkommen in Ordnung ist, da darauf in der Hotelbeschreibung hingewiesen wird. Man gibt sich aber meines Erachtens auch überhaupt keine Mühe. Die Krönung war dann der Check-Out, leider hatte ich auch hier wieder die Frage nicht verstanden. Doch nach fast fünf Tagen vor Ort holt die Dame plötzlich ein Handy raus und tippt die Frage in die Übersetzungs-App. Es war die Frage, ob ich Trinkgeld für den Service geben möchte. Wirklich bedauerlich, dass das nie funktionierte, sondern nur in diesem Moment. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

La atencion si bien es siempre con cordialidad, habia falta de personal, falta de proactividad, no sugerían cuando uno les preguntaba sobre la zona de las playas o cuando uno preguntaba sobre los platos de comida.

It’s in an amazing location, the sound of the ocean is incredible, and Tayrona National park entrance only 10 minutes away. The food is good, the rooms very comfortable and the hotel itself beautiful with several lovely pools

There is absolutely no atmosphere. The staff have no friendliness about them. Everything is delivered so slowly and there is no soul to the hotel. It’s all too quite. So you don’t get a sense of warmth and caring

Incredible ocean views

You can't beat the views at Hotel Casa Barlovento. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are yummy with quite a few options. The pool was clean and refreshing!

Potential guests should know that there are about 60 steps that lead up to the hotel. This would not be a good hotel for someone with limited mobility. The staff is very helpful and will carry your bags but the handrail is not super accessible and the steps are of different heights. We had one dinner that we did not like at all. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the food to be served and it was not as described.

The place was so nice!! Honestly best place we went, we were lucky enough to be the only one at the hotel which we had all our needs attend. They were so nice! We had all of our dinner on the balcony near the water. It was my boyfriend birthday, I requested decorations and sparkling wine. They were kind enough to more than I expected! They had a private beach that was honestly better than the one at Tayrona park. We wanted to have a surf lesson and they were nice enough to get us in contact with the right people to have a lesson. Anything we ask they were kind and happy to help us achieve it!

The only thing was the sewer smell a bit in the bathroom, but it was not a big deal.

The hotel itself is really nice with great views, staff is friendly and always there for you. I would go back in here with my family. Location is great if you just want to unplugged and relax, food at the restaurant is good.

We could not use any pool since they were not clean at all. We asked about the condition of the pools and they started cleaning them. However, we could not use them. It would've been better to be notified about not being able to use the pool at the moment of the reservation because the relation of the cost and the value was not fair.

Awesome location, doubtful service

The location is simply perfect for chilling in the most beautiful surrounding. And, the cleanliness was exceptional. Cleaning ladies and the ladies in the kitchen, as well as the guys working in the garden were super friendly!

For a hotel in such a high category the service understanding is truly questionable. Friendliness as well. You need to order your dinner in the afternoon and still don’t get what you ordered. Food in general is ok. Despite of breakfast - breakfast is really bad and odd. The ladies working in the „service“ are sometimes sleeping or on their phone or you can’t find them at all. Which is a pity when you need something to drink. We made a mistake and put paper in the toilet and clogged it. yes, that was our mistake. But showing us a video of our clogged toilet while we tried to eat our breakfast was a bit of an overreaction on their end.

loved it! real treat yourself spot

this hotel is outrageously nice. two pools over looking the sea… lots of sun loungers.. our room was a corner with balcony overlooking the sea and jungle… it was incredible and breathtaking views. the room was so sleek and spacious and comfortable.. you can shower looking at the sea. it’s an incredible spot 100%. staff were lovely too and really friendly. I saw people leaving negative reviews here saying there isn’t any staff fluent in English. you’re in Colombia, learn Spanish if you want to speak with the people who live and work there. don’t be arrogant… we have extremely little Spanish and still managed to work everything out fine. oh also my boyfriend got a massage and said it was the best he ever had.

it’s a very chill remote relaxing vibe. so bar and kitchen shut up early. it was weird you have to pre order dinner at 5:30 but I’m sure there’s a valid reason… maybe the food is gotten fresh… it almost feels like dining room vibes where everyone eats. not bad just different.

Location, pool and beach were fantastic, food was good.

at this price point you would expect some staff with basic English proficiency. Communication was difficult, example: at every meal ordering we got different stuff then we ordered.

Breathtaking views of the beach and river. Private beach, food was amazing also! Hammocks upstairs were nice.

They wouldn't start coffee till 7:30am, I was up at 5am and had to go to another hotel to have coffee. I asked for it early and they said no to wait until 7:30am.
