We enjoyed the close proximity to the main shopping streets. There are several restaurants close by which offer a wide variety of foods which exhibit the country's boiling poy of culture. The staff are very friendly and they made us feel right at home. Unlike other places that we have stayed at before, the environmemt is very quiet at night and peaceful. It feels like a home away from home.
To be honest, we cannot think of anything we did not like about the place. For the price we paid, it was definitely worth it.

It was a super comfortable room! We highly recommended it! Barbara was a really nice host. The hotel is really well located.

The staff was so welcoming and super helpful. The room was clean and very nice. The location was perfect. I would stay here again!!!

The location is extremely convenient on Back Street, easily accessible to the beach, nearby supermarkets and restaurants. The room was very clean and for a single traveler the size is more than enough if you don't stay in the room much. All the necessary room facilities are provided. Although in the centre of Philipsburg, it was very quiet at night and I felt safe. There are only stairs going up to the second floor where the reception and my room were located but it didn't bother me.
Just a note: There was no automatic daily housekeeping service which wasn't an issue for my short stay but for longer stays it could be an issue, for example to take out the trash, replenish the coffee supply, change the towels etc.

Everything! First, the management team is really friendly. I loved the helpful online guide they sent out about St Maarten logistics. Reception was friendly, the A/C and wifi signal in the room were both strong and everything was well-appointed and clean. The location is just perfect if you are catching a ferry early the next day for Saba, St Barth's or Statia as the port is less than a 10 minutes' walk away.
Reception is closed outside of 9-5 which is only a minor nuisance. Management is available outside of these hours via whatsapp.

Great location, close to shops and restaurants and public transport.
Good size rooms, clean and comfortable beds.

Clean comfortable room. Lovely friendly staff. ok for a short trip, 2 nights. central location n town. Barbara the receptionist was awesome.
Difficult to access reception and rooms due to stairs, access difficult with large cases if elderly or incapacitated. No lift. No real window in room. Although microwave and coffee machine in room, difficult to make anything, hubby liked porridge for breakfast but no utensils or bowls in room. a kettle would be useful too, had to boil water in microwave in ice bucket, not ideal.

Basic rooms that had everything needed. Very friendly staff helpful with all kinds of questions from calling taxis to possible activities. Excellent location in Philipsburg; we truly enjoyed our stay.

I loved the location to Back street right in town direct access to the stores and eateries.
some people may have not been familiar with the location of the hotel, but it was safe and I was able to go everywhere within walking distance.

The staff was wonderful, friendly, and super helpful!
It’s a lower price facility, and so you shouldn’t expect luxury hotel amenities. That’s in no way a negative, just managing expectations. If you want the Ritz, pay for the Ritz. If you want a lovely, small, relatively inexpensive place to stay with a friendly staff and a great location, this is a great choice!

the building entrance was a surprise

I did not have breakfast at the inn. There were many places nearby with food and drinks. The staff at the inn is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in directing customers to the all the nearby places. I felt like I was really living in a place where I was part of a family, and that if a relative of the owner or manager came to visit this town he or she would received the same treatment as I experienced. I was not a tourist. I was a welcome visitor.
I liked everything. I cannot think of anything to improve.
In retrospect, I wish I had spent more time on the Island of St Martens' I was only able to stay one night before the 4 masted sail boat I left on departed the island. and when I returned back to the island. My plane back home to California, via Newark, left the same day. In Retrospect, I should have booked at least one more night on the island before returning home.

Good position to travel around the island as buses stop nearby. Just a few hundred meters from beach. Good shower and decent coffee machine.
Do not expect a hotel - it is an Inn.
4.5
Size of room, cleanliness, friendly & helpful front office staff at a reasonable price. It is about 2 blocks back from the beach / Boardwalk but it was no problem walking down to the beach. Just be aware that all 9 rooms are up a flight of stairs, no elevator. Air-conditioning worked very well, which is necessary with Saint Maarten's temperatures.

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with getting around in cheaper transportation and made my stay available for a very late check in with a smile on there faces.
The bathrooms had a bit of old beard hair on the rims of the widow, but other than that it was clean.

Location is just perfect. Everything is very near you. Public transport is just outside the doors. Restaurants, bars, beach, all are super near you, just couple minutes walk is needed.

All is just fine

Very good location and wonderful staff.
Noisy late at night due to music at nearby bars.
