Lovely bright house near to everything in Newcastle. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Our room was great with views over the garden and the mountains behind the house. Breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread and scones and home made jams.

Everything was just has it should be

Brilliant and welcoming hosts, a hearty breakfast that set me up for a day of golf, and a wonderful quiet location with stunning views of the mountains

The location was quiet and easy to find.
It was the small things - e.g. the other guest left very stinky fish and chip wrappers in the communal space and they weren't cleared away, so the room was unpleasant to use. Water bottles weren't replaced. There was quite a bit of family noise.

It was spacious, extremely comfortable and with an amazing backdrop of the Mourne mountains. Wonderful hosts and a very good breakfast.

Lovely location with Mountain View’s on the outskirts of Newcastle. Breakfast was wonderful! Room a good side and loved the storage to the side of the room.
Shower was a bit small

We stayed in the loft. It was cozy and had every convenience included. We enjoyed the view of the garden and the hills behind us. Daisy the dog was lovely, and the owners were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful modern timber frame interior and wonderful private deck. Large comfortable bed in main room.

Fantastic location and views. Quiet tranquil and laid back.
No dishwasher which was manageable, however no washing up bowl , washing liquid, scourer or washing up gloves. Hence washing up anything was a trying affair.

Great room, lovely view over mountains and fab rain shower, excellent breakfast, especially the home made granola. Also lovely sun room just outside our room with a small fridge.

Our room had the best shower we have had in 7 weeks of travel. Water was hot, easy to operate and had a massive rose to stand under.
Patricia and John were very friendly and chatty and helped us with some suggestions for our stay

The breakfast was lovely. The location was simply stunning with a beautiful garden backing straight onto the Mourne Mountains. It was also only 20 minutes into the town of Newcastle. The whole property was an immaculate modern property. Also, instead of the usual biscuits in the room, the hostess provided us with home-made chocolate cake. An absolute five star property.

Location was excellent, with a beautiful view to the garden and Mourne mountains. The walk to the town center took 25 minutes, through beautiful forest and park. Breakfast was excellent with tasty home-made options also for vegetarians. Everything was arranged thoughtfully -from the quality shampoo to the fluffy bed. Absolutely loved the stay.

The view from my window, was the best I ever had from anywhere I stayed. Patricia and John were so obliging I don't drive so they offered to drop me to town when I needed to go. The breakfast was fantastic. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say I'll be back.
If I was looking for a fault,I certainly could not find one.

We booked the self-catering loft at Cherryhill Lodge but Patricia had still made sure that we had all the essentials to get us started; milk, butter, jam, some cereals, tea and coffee - and for a bonus there were some incredible homemade treats: scones, wheaten bread and a couple of slices of cakes to start the weekend. Patricia made sure we were settled in and even offered us a lift into town - going above and beyond what we expected.
The Loft itself was brilliant. Massive comfortable bed, lounge area and some outside furniture to relax and take in the incredible views of the Mournes. Very clean and well kept with good wifi and a TV to relax after hiking in the day. We would definitely visit again

We changed to the self catering room as it was available. This was very spacious (apart from a tiny if fully equipped bathroom) with a great bed.
Nice outside space with a view of the Morne mountains. Sadly too cold for us to sit there but we appreciated the excellent heating!
Hosts are on top of everything and there was a selection of jam, butter scones on our arrival. Cake came later. They also left a lovely breakfast for us on each morning.
Very quiet and not far from what you come to see here.

All I can say is Patricia is an extremely talented lady and very humble. The homemade granola from scratch was amazing (even picking the blackberries). The best treat was where you have breakfast the views of the amazing garden and mountains is a sight to be hold. Patricia and her husband were so helpful, kind hearted people with a beautiful home. (I wanted to take the bed with me). Patricia gave homemade scones and bread and tea to bring home with me. Would highly recommend Cherryhill Lodge. 5mins drive from town and 8 mins to beach
I didn't get to stay longer

The hosts were incredibly accommodating and provided us with freshly baked bread on arrival, and scones later in the stay. Annex was generally clean and tidy, WiFi worked as promised. Roughly 30-40 minute walk to the start of the Slieve Donard trail. Initially some essentials were missing (tea towels mainly) but I went into the main building to request them and they provided them right away. The location was stunning and the host even gave us a lift to the station on our way home. Lovely!
