Our room was spacious and quiet, bigger than expected. Great location in the countryside and only 20 minutes away from Oxford park and ride.
Shower was extremely hot and couldn’t adjust the temperature, otherwise everything was lovely 🙂

The rooms and that it allowed dogs always brilliant.
Location was great and nice little garden setting.
The room was dated and a bit run down, was a little over priced.
The food was a bit of a let down too, shame as the atmosphere was lovely and setting great.

Breakfast choice was excellent. Evening meal was good and more imaginative than expected for chain.
Rooms at the back away from road are quiet.
Breakfast finished at 9;00 on weekdays which is a little early for leisure market.

Checking in was very easy. The room was clean and a good size and had a bath with a shower over it. The room and the pub felt a little tired and is ready for a bit of a makeover. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared. The bar area was cosy with a variety of seating.
The general condition and decoration was in need of a makeover.

Location and excellent parking
The rooms were a bit tired but comfortable enough. There was Zero WiFi available and no 4G in or around the hotel. Made it very challenging for a business trip - I could only access WiFi by finding another pub/restaurant

The food was incredible. They did this pork belly special and it was so good. The price was good considering we booked last minute, and the bed was very comfortable. The windows to the room opened as well, so you don't get that nasty air con mouth in the morning. Nice big car park so no trouble parking either. Perfect for staying in Oxford.
Nothing really to complain about!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They really made the staff perfect for us and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was good: very nice scrambled eggs and salmon, and great service by Andrew, an excellent waiter with a lovely sense of humour whose company we really enjoyed. We appreciated the efforts of the catering staff regarding our evening meal; there were about 18 of us and it must have been difficult to get the timing right but they managed well.
My room was nice and spacious but a bit shabby. Bedside lamp loose on its mounting, bathroom extractor fan very noisy, and a general need for redecoration. My mattress has seen better days or been used by too many really heavy people! I was concerned about how to escape the room if there was a fire in the corridor (room 17) because the windows don't open fully. My evening meal (Ale and Mushroom pie) was adequate but had undercooked vegetables; seemed rather expensive.

Very pleasant place, friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Comfortable, warm room with king sized bed. Super breakfast and excellent choice. Andrew most welcoming and lovely service all round. Excellent value for money.

Exceptional service, lovely room, great food and staff. We particularly liked our room upgrade and welcome note.
Couldn't fault our stay.

Room lovely but no heating as radiators full of air so need bleeding. We managed to get the bathroom one working.
The food situation was very confusing. We checked in early expecting to be able to order food it was 3pm. Your website said serving food! We were told chef just gone on a break back at 6pm! We ordered crisps! After 40 mins I noticed food being served to other guests so challenged staff and then we could order food. As an observation at least 10 people some staying and some walk ins were refused food. A missed financial opportunity for your business. And a lot of unhappy customers. It spoilt our experience.

We were greeted at the reception by a very cheerful man who gave us all the information we needed. We had a family room which was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We also booked a meal for that night & it was lovely. Breakfast was also very good with a variety of options.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Location and history of building
Unfriendly, rude and unhelpful staff. We needed to store freshly cooked frozen sealed food for our dog in the fridge, the manager was rude to my son in law, I had to go and ask myself. At breakfast we were toñd to order hot food before 10am, I was waiting to order but the waitress was charring with the cook and when she stopped it was 10.01 am and she said it was too late, my daughter had poured herself tea but didn’t have anything to eat because they had no porridge or anything she could eat hot as the kitchen closed. They still tried to charge as £7.99 I said for her, we paid for 2 meals even though the variety of food was dismal and service unfriendly.
The rooms had not been cleaned properly, the bed had a small stain.
Our dog wasn’t made welcomw nor offered any water. We won’t be returning
