Perfect! Great rural location.
A television

Furniture is literally threadbare. Wall adjacent to bed was dirty.

The grounds were beautiful.
We loved the bathroom layout .
The neighbor had a barking dog.
Movie night seemed a little hectic.

The obvious love, hard work, and attention to detail in making, maintaining, and managing this unique place to spend a night--or longer.

breakfast was okay - we appeared to be the only guests and the spread was big for two people. would have liked a made-to-order breakfast which may have been better for them too.
the whirlpool bathtub was there but a bit small for two people.

The renovation of the historic barns are a beautiful blend of all and new. The quality is obvious and uniquely transforms the space.
The art is cool and has a New York CA. Vibe. The restaurant also has that feel and leads out to a outside space and great view!
Our room with a tall ceiling, post and beam construction along with glass ceiling in the bath was very unusual and again very cool. This was our first visit, and we plan to go back. So far there is nothing we would change. We were there during a little snowstorm, which made it perfect! Extra quiet and peaceful! Michael the owner was very kind, we left something in the room and he mailed it right away!!
Nothing to report in this area. The only thing to know ahead of time it Wi-Fi , not an option, which was an opportunity to truly get away. I am sure if someone needed to be reached they could call the front desk and Michael would be happy to help!

Gedney Farm is a unique property set in an old dairy farm with beautiful fields and lovely spaces to sit outside. Our room was charming with an updated bathroom, very comfortable bed and a small couch.
We have eaten at the restaurant before and it is excellent, but we were there on a night when the restaurant was not open so brought in food and sat at one of the tables outside which was gorgeous. We were served an exceptional breakfast with several options from local producers.
We are HUGE fans of Gedney Farm and have been coming for years and it continues to get better while maintaining its original charm and warmth, due mostly to Michael who runs the place.
It was exactly as we knew it would be, so nothing to suggest.

comfortable room,
distant from restaurants and didn’t have a cooked breakfast. didn’t like that there was no staff when we arrived.

no tv!

A unique setting that was charmingly rustic but with touches of luxury that made it exceptional. (Excellent mattress and bedding, plenty of towels and a superb bathroom. )
The Continental breakfast was plentiful and varied with staff going the extra mile to provide an additional item.
The cost and quality of the evening meal were disappointing. The amuse bouche was a welcome surprise and the starters were good. The main course however, did not meet our expectations. The service was excellent.

A lovely spot, and Manager Michael was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious; the bed was super comfortable. I ate at the Gedney Kitchen once and it was delicious. All staff were friendly and attentive.
It would be nice if there were additional seating in the room. I ate one meal at the small desk in the room on a antique caned chair. Not so comfy on an old butt!

Breakfast could be better. No hot items and pastries were stale.
See comment on breakfast. Also room was not cleaned every day.

The room was clean and the same for the bathroom. The barn was rustic and aesthetically pleasing
There was no TV in the room, no cell service, no coffee or tea pot in the room, no ice machine anywhere in the room area, no hairdryer, no reception person after 4pm, poor continental breakfast, and no restaurants within a 15-20 min radius. Two existed nearby but were both closed.

Ambiance, mid-week privacy early in the season, phenomenal location, innkeeper was wonderful. The spa tub was a fantastic way to end a day of hiking.
Would have liked access to fresh air in the room other than ac.

Beautiful property and a great place to bring your dog! Looks like a great place to have a wedding.
The WIFI is terrible. There are no TV’s in the room so being able to use the WIFI for music and entertainment would help. Also, cell phone reception is not the best. I need to be able to stay connected to work even when unplugging. For this reason, we couldn’t stay here again.

Very quiet location, and warm welcome
Unfortunately due to a private event , could not try the restaurant this time

The food was absolutely amazing. You could tell the chef takes pride in his work.
The grounds were abundant, peaceful and well kept. Took many walks & quiet times.
The authenticity of the farmhouse- while being up to date in renovations, was a perfect tunes.
Bed was comfy.
Place was very clean.
There was no TV in the room. My husband is very particular about the news. It wasn't a big deal for just an overnight, but, if we were to be there more than 1 night, would have been an issue.
The food was AMAZING!... Unfortunately, the staff was not knowledgeable about it at all.
Taking a shower, in a tub, with no shower curtain was a bit tricky.
I LOVE that dogs are welcome, but, not @ dinner tables inside, or tied out to random places, barking, when you're trying to have a romantic dinner.
A ceiling fan, and/or a window screen would've been nice.

We liked everything about Gedney Farm. We came to hike and bike. First outing since Covid, first biking of the spring. We enjoyed two excellent dinners. We brought our dog and walked the fields surrounding the barns.
