It was a very nice facility with updated amenities.
The rooms are extremely tiny. You couldn’t open the bar fridge door because it hit the bed. But it did have nice high ceilings so you don’t feel closed in. Just very cramped.

Beautiful hotel
Staff were amazing during my crisis BA had lost my luggage, staff advised me where to buy some spare clothing and gave me toiletries
Breakfast was lovely
I couldn't get the phone in the room to work
I couldn't close the black out curtains just would not work for me.

Lovely hotel, beautiful building. We had dinner and cocktails in the restaurant which were beautiful. Location was great for site seeing. I'd definitely recommend to a friend.

Beautifully curated hotel - excellent taste in interior design. Fantastic attention to detail (room key holder was a notebook with information on the property, the city etc), excellent bar, lounge room, DJ and what excellent idea the music in the room was! Outstanding accoustics, very comfy stay and excellent location!

Room was nicely styled.
Bar was very loud when we arrived, couldn't actually hear the reception. Coffee machine was broken and wasn't replaced with a working one. Staff weren't great, not very friendly.

The atmosphere was good. The in room music was a nice touch.
The fridge in our room was broken. The lack of tub or microwave was a bit of a downer. Would have liked to have a vending machine somewhere in the building rather than having to order delivery.

Room and beds were beautiful and comfortable. Amazing location. Helpful staff. The curated playlist was a nice touch.
Parking was expensive and the price was not clearly stated in advance, that I could see.

The saving grace for this hotel was the fantastic location and easy parking. The building itself was beautiful, and the lobby, bar and restaurant were very elegant. Unfortunately once you left the elevator to the rooms, it was a different story alltogether...
For the price and from the photos online, our expectations were quite high.
Entering the lobby, things looked great. But upon checking in, the employee was more interested in vibing to the extremely loud music from the bar, than giving us any information about the rooms, breakfast or anything really, we had to ask him ourselves, and he even ended up giving us the wrong times for breakfast, and neglected to give us our breakfast vouchers (more on this later).
After a long day of travelling we finally made it to our rooms, obviously the place had been "stylishly" renovated a few years ago, but it looked as though the rooms had suffered through a few party guests with broken speakers, dirt in the corner of the carpets, and some grime in the corner of the shower.
This was more or less of the trend for this hotel, first impressions "wow", but when you looked closer, everything was a bit run down.
The kingsize room was tiny, but as we were here for business it didn't really matter. But the absolute worst thing was the heating and airconditioning...
The rooms must have been old offices with high ceilings previously, as their solution to adding heating and air conditioning was simply to add huge vents above the bed, which, when activated by the thermostat, caused the entire room to shake as if a train was passing directly overhead. This caused a few sleepless nights, until i was forced to use earplugs. For nearly $300 a night, this is unacceptable.
Tip: Skip the breakfast option on booking.com
Breakfast is only available from a menu in the restaurant downstairs. Although the quality was very good, it was very pricey, and the $25 Voucher (which we eventually got from another receptionist) barely covered the bill, and then tips had to be paid extra.
Out of 8 Nights, we were only able to have breakfast 3 times.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and quiet. Historical touches made you embrace pass times. Great location!
I DID NOT like paying for parking on hotel property. That was horrible to me. I couldn’t tell that paying provided any benefit to my family and I!
4.1
Close to the trainstation, close enough to Bealestreet, great venue easy check-in.
There was blood (not ours) on one of the bed sheets. Staff didn't want to come and clean it.

On ereceptionist was impossible to understand. However, Toorey was very helpful.

very nice place, great location, very friendly staff and personel
the AC in the room was ridiculous. way to cold and the only way to fix was shut it off, than way to hot. had them fix one time but only made it worse so I quit trying and just lived with the hot/cold process, very disappointing.

This is a superb hotel.
The location feels a bit rundown and there's not too much close by, but the trolley runs straight to downtown and is a bonus.
While the location is a bit shabby (but we never felt threatened, even when out very late) the hotel itself is a real gem.
The rooms are quite small, but neat and very clean, the bar is wonderful and the attached restaurant top notch.
Best of all, the train pulls up right outside - what a sight.
As I said, the room we had was pretty small, but functional, and, as tourists, we only went back to sleep.

I loved the looks of the hotel lobby!
I didn't like that I had to pay to park when I already paid over $300 for a very, very, very small room with a King bed, only 1 chair, a closet rack, poor lighting, no water pressure, and a Keurig coffee pot that you couldn't get to if you wanted a cup of coffee in the morning!!!
4.1
Beautiful renovation with so many options for food/drink within walking distance. loved the parking option as well. bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.
Price point is a little bit more than what we got. Service was also not that great. Most we encountered were indifferent and flat with no hint of friendliness. they seemed annoyed by us.

I got charged for a room that I was not in !!!
I didn't have what was suppose to be in the room for what I was charged.

The location was awesome, and the decor was amazing. The room was clean and the piped in music was a "nice to have".
The only concern we had was we were given incorrect information on the hours that the tram ran to Beale Street and it would've been nice if there were a breakfast option. Also the air conditioning was CRANKED in the lounge on the night that we arrived. It was totally uncomfortable.

they cancelled my reservations eventhough I picked to pay at the property. they ran my card cancelled my room and gave it away. someone needs to contact me regarding this asap because I deserve to stay for free. I drove all the way to Memphis and had to drive back to Birmingham because it was not anymore rooms I was out of gas money time and energy and all because you all tried to charge the card. that card was only for to hold the room. since I said I was playing at the room y’all had no right to give my room away. because when I got there y’all saved another guess room and told me to see if they check in at 2Am. please have someone reach out Asap are I’m contacting my attorney 205-567-4981

The walk to get to action was a little far.

Location, Location, location!
Arcade diner was across the street. Could see the Civil Rights museum from our room window. Beale St. was in a few easy walking blocks. The parking was on its own level away from the street and any neighboring buildings with round the click security patrol.
The vibe and ambience was soooooo laid back and relaxing we felt right at home. Especially with the wonderful desk staff Kayla and Ellis. So professional and going above and beyond with caring hospitality.
Restaurant Bishop in the hotel as well.
The decor was impeccable as well.
Wasn't impressed with the food at Bishop but loved the decor and French vintage music. For being French food, it was not decedent but bland.

Very cool place, interesting location. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful, large, clean, nice shower. Bishop's restaurant downstairs has great food. The bar is super chill.
The room was small, with no coffee maker, table, pretty much a bed and side table. There was no coffee or breakfast available. The bar is expensive.

I like the urban industrial vibe of the hotel. It is in a good location within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and fun things to do.
There were plumbing issues in the hotel. The toilets in the restrooms on the bottom floor barely flushed, if they flushed at all. This was a common occurrence in all 3 of the different restrooms I went to on the lower level. Pipes were dripping water down on the toilets. Restrooms were dirty, trash cans were overflowing.
The hotel is very dilapidated. I could hear the toilet flushing in the room above me all the time, as well as the trolley going by and dinging constantly. There was very little lighting in our room, only 2 bedside lamps, one other lamp and the bathroom light. The outlet in the bathroom did not work. I asked for an iron for my clothes and when I went to use it, the plug was mangled as if it had been run over by a vacuum cleaner. I tried to call down to the front desk to get a replacement at 6:30 a.m. when I was getting ready to go to my conference downstairs and never could get anyone to answer. This hotel was overpriced for what you get.
