The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great

The sea view was amazing

The fact that we were not aware that as we had requested a sea view we were not advised that there were 59 steps to climb to our room

Very Welcoming

Everything. Very friendly host. Lovely Michelle ( cleaner) were very helpful & cheerful also down to earth. Breakfast were lovely & fresh. Also fabulous Sunday lunch.

Only one day was disappointing due full breakfast had to be cancelled We respect to understand without complaints.

Enjoyed Scarborough and the hotel just needs a bit of tlc

Didn’t help at breakfast to have tea towels hanging on radiators that looked like they had cleaned the floor

Staff are very nice but would not stay again

The staff and location.

The Hotel needs a good refurbishment. When you walk into the hotel reception all you can smell is food which is being cooked in the kitchen on the lower floor. The rooms are very outdated the bathrooms we had was just a bodge job with a sink unit which was made for a kitchen. The sealant that was around the bath, and toilet looked like it had been put on with a shovel. The carpets where dirty and there where cobwebs and spiders. The breakfast was ok however the dining room wants a good clean . Not good when you make your own toast and get the bread directly out of the bag .

A comfortable stay with spacious bedrooms.

We had a lovely view from our bedrooms and I was really pleased that the private suite gave us two separate bedrooms. The breakfast was very good and the cook was very helpful. I was able to park my car free for the whole time we were there, right opposite the hotel (with a parking disc).

The bathroom was small but there was plenty of room in the bedrooms. It did say there would be a bidet in the bathroom but there was no sign of one, which was no problem!

A Highland Fling.

Location great for us, able to park a car nearby using a disc. The hotel is very old but our very large room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast lovely, chef cooked whatever you wanted.

Climbing to the 2nd floor. Also, the toilet had a leaking pipe, which management tried to repair. Had to put a container under it for 3 days. We were still very comfortable tho'.

Room was clean with a nice comfortable bed, the bar has a good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. The breakfast had a nice selection of cereal with a fresh cooked full english as well.

Very good

The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was a good size . Beds were comfortable and the sheets were really brilliant white. The hotel on the whole is tired looking but very clean. Having said that the hotel is under new management so hopefully the new owners will invest in a revamp. The cooked breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice to choose from. All staff were amazing very welcoming and exceptionally friendly whilst remaining professional. The lift was a massive bonus as we were on the 1st floor

The bedroom was a lovely size beds very comfy,had a lovely breakfast and the sea view was excellent 🥰 friendly staff 🥰

No blind or covering at bathroom window for when u was on the toilet so had to shut curtains everytime no hairdryer in room also no mirror near a plug socket for straighteners etc ,TV too small odd piece of furniture looking tired

sea views were amazing but that’s probably all that was good about it

parking was horrendous milk in the room had turned to cream & mouldy so took to the bar man and he put some more in the room, went to make a cup of tea and when opened they were mouldy with black lumps in so took them back down and they weren’t in the slightest bothered about it, no apology or anything 🤮 windows didn’t lock properly and I was on the 3rd floor with 2 children cold even with the radiator on all night breakfast was awful, cups hand been washed out properly making the coffee taste like dish soap, eggs undercooked and slimy, brown sauce sachets tasted like vinegar which made me think they were off overall disappointing… wouldn’t return

Family Stay

Staff were friendly, listened and supportive of any requests. Rooms and hotel as a whole were clean to a good standard. We ate in the bar at night, with liver that was nicely cooked and veg that still had crunch.

Shower hook was broken and wouldn't stay raised up, ok if you're though! Told the chef, as we left and said he'd arrange for it to be fixed with the managers. No fresh coffee, only sachets of Nescafe.

We enjoyed our overnight stay the staff were lovely the food was very good and the room was very clean we had a sea view bonus! We were provided with a parking disc and were able to park on the road outside the hotel. The hotel was clean warm and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We liked the fact that the hotel bar was open to the local community too which made it more welcoming for families and was pet friendly. We wish the new management team all the very best and we are sure you will be very successful in putting your own stamp on your hotel. Thank you!

Just one minor thing I would like to suggest that a bottle of water is supplied with the tea coffee in the room as not everyone including myself drinks hot drinks. Water supplied at breakfast would be beneficial too.

One of the windows in the bedroom wouldn't close and it was as windy and as cold as the Arctic
