Away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy section of 7 mile beach. Water front with excellent snorkeling. House was stocked we the convenience items. Property Manager was very nice and responsive! Would definitely stay again!

Well stocked house good location: plenty of towels, kitchen items, spices, kayak, good blender, nice washer and dryer, movies, etc. Very private, clean pool, great snorkel location (bring water shoes for the rocks). Grocery shop by the airport before you head north but the grocery down the street has most items to restock.

Perfect size and amenities. Stunning sunrise and sunsets from the patio. Quiet location, easy access to west and east ends of the island.

Located on the North Coast made this vacation very tranquil. We ventured over to Rum Point beach a few times and also spent one day on Governor’s Beach. The house in the picture was actually next door to our unit. This made it confusing when identifying our rental unit. The home was tidy, but some of the furnishings were tired. The view of the ocean was superb.

If you aren’t wanting the traffic and people of 7 mile beach. This is the place for you!

The house was good. The kitchen was stocked nicely and the house was spacious enough and comfortable for 5 adults and a 17 yr old. The pool and beach out back were private. Checking is was extremely easy with a lock code and key pad. Only issue was the beach out back was not somewhere you’d like to sit and relax. It was filled with garbage and large debris including 2 large pieces of wood that had washed to shore. We were there for 9 days and no one came to clean it until the last night we were there at 5 pm. They still left all the large pieces out there. Also, around the same time that evening the property manager had an appointment for new cable boxes to be put in our house. As we were trying to have a “last night away” dinner we were instead dealing with the cable guys for over an hour. We thought this should have been set up for a time that no one was there vacationing and the property manager should have been there in the house dealing with them instead of us. Overall the house was good, beach was dirty, and Cayman was wonderful.

The house was as described and right on the beach. The house and pool were clean and easy to access. We took a chance staying in October, and the weather wasn’t as cooperative as we would have hoped, but there were no issues with the accommodations. The island is beautiful and we hope to come back soon for another visit.

My family and I stayed for a really wonderful week in this accommodation. It was clean but quiet dated. The kitchen was modern and updated and had everything we needed. It was a lovely location and the addition of the swimming pool on the property was nice as the beach was not walk in unless you had swim shoes on as it was very rocky…but having fantastic snorkeling right a the back patio was worth it. We will definitely come back and stay again. Definitely need a car as not near any restaurants. Having the local store walkable was an added bonus.

Our family of 6 had a lovely stay at Mahagony 2. It is as advertised. It’s secluded and away from 7 miles crowds. You would need a car rental. The house was stocked with some basic essentials and some spices. Judy was helpful and addressed our door issue immediately. Kitchen was stocked with basics for us to cook some home meals. Our blender didn’t work so we just borrowed from unit next door. We had happy hour daily and watched the sunset every night on our beach. House had a kayak. We brought snorkels but would be nice a nice value add suggestion so we could just pack swim suits, sunblocks and cover up. Overall lovely and highly recommend for relaxation and quiet family time.

House was fantastic and as described. Very spacious with all amenities we could wish for.
Can‘t be any more beachfront.
We found it very clean and had zero issues with bugs inside or outside (which made sitting on the beautiful porch with the amazing beachview even more relaxing)
The house appears darker in sunlight than in the pictures - it is the second from the left. The only notable change vs the listing was that the white couch was replaced (I would say upgraded) by a very comfortable grey one.
Pool was perfect size to relax and very clean too.
Location was superb IF you do not want to be in the middle of everything (i.e. 7 Mile Beach). You definitely need a rental.
We liked Starfishpoint, Red Sail Cruise departs from Rum point for Stingray City and we very much enjoyed the Botanic Garden (Big playground and Splashpad for the kids!). For local reasonable lunch the Caboose was amazing and we much enjoyed food at Cimboco. Chisholm Grocery was very convenient (open on Sundays!) and almost next door - though we went to Foster‘s for some „more serious“ grocery shopping

1. Cleanliness of property
really bad, found stains behind toilet, lots of hair everywhere throughout the inside of the property, wall decor rested against walls, uncovered/exposed nails/screws in wall, smashed bugs on walls, floor felt dirty while walking barefoot (not from sand). towels were stained, could not tell what from. i took lots of pics in the event someone wants to dispute.
2. Check-in process
due to the pictures, we did attempt to access the wrong unit at first. not sure if the pic was wrong or just heavily edited to appear to be the color of a different unit. once we located the right unit, check in was fine.
3. Accuracy of online listing
seemed like they took best pics from other units and used it for the listing. the furniture did not all match, wall decor was missing or had since been moved, the pics do appear to be edited quite a bit. we made friends with the neighbors and found some of the furniture was actually in their unit. a pretty big disappointment since one of our party had planned to sleep on the couch only because of the size/type.
4. Communication with property manager
this was fine, and they were generally pleasant.
5. Location and neighborhood
this was fine. wish there were less rocks on the beach outside the back of the property with easier water access but access was not too far down the beach as to be too inconvenient.
6. Overall rating
2 out of 5 - at the end of the day the unit itself is what most matters to me. the getting there, com

Clean, cozy, and away from most of the hustle and bustle. Convenience store very close, as is The Botanical Gardens, highly recommend, and Cayman Crystal Caves.
Make sure you get a rental vehicle to get here, it's about a 45 minute drive from the airport, and about an hr from the touristy part of West End. But the house and property were everything we hoped for. You are literally 30 steps from the living room to the water. It's not a"traditional" beach in that it's coral, so water shoes are a must. But the water was so clear, calm, and warm, it made for some great snorkeling.
Only negatives I have, and these are not a reflection of the property at all, but I'm putting them here so people can be prepared...The mosquitoes are active at all times of the day. You will need bug spray, and alot of it.
The price of food is about twice what you would pay in the States and gas is $2 more per gallon. Just some information for anyone on a budget.

Everything is as advertised. View is great and looks like the pictures. Pool was great too. Love the quiet side of the island. Bring water shoes and hit the grocery store near the airport.

Great View and Out of sight Snorkeling
I would absolutely stay in this house/area again, but it’s not quite a 5 star property. It’s a little dated and could be a little cleaner.
What we loved:
So so close to the sand and water!
Towels!! So many towels. I felt right at home.
Great stock in terms of utensils and plates and cups. I would definitely say it was well equipped with all of the things we needed.
What I didn’t love:
No water pressure is master bath shower at all.
It didn’t make me feel great that when we were checking under beds I found other peoples clothes. That made me think it wasn’t being cleaned so well between guests.
I wish they chose a color other than white for all of their furniture. From the pictures I assumed it was leather. It wasn’t, so I was nervous a kid was going to stain the couch. We put our blankets over the couches just to make sure.
The porch is way smaller than it looks in the photos and TWICE a kid fell off the back because they pushed their chair out just a touch too far. It would be better to have smaller furniture that fits the space better.
No information was in the house. Like how to turn on the TVs or where to find the thermostat.
As I mentioned before, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again, but it could be improved. We loved our stay but water shoes are an absolute must if you plan to go in the ocean. The Northside is beautiful, but definitely different from the Seven Mile area. If you want beach walks and bare feet then this isn’t your place. If you want amazing reefs, tropical fish galore and more active experiences pick Northside for sure!

Beautiful Property
We had an amazing stay. Three en-suites were perfect for traveling with my husband, mom, and mother-in-law. Well-equipped with anything we needed. Cannot beat the view from the back porch! Immediate beach and ocean access. 40 minute drive to Seven Mile Beach if you choose to re-locate there.

Reviewer Comments:
We, family of 4, enjoyed our recent stay at Mahogany Point 2. The villa was as described, the kids enjoyed the pool. Unfortunately we did not bring any water shoes with us, since we were not aware of the corals in front of the house. The property could have been a bit cleaner, but other than that, a great stay.

December 2019 Stay
We have really enjoyed staying at Mahogany Point 2 this week. We came down for a wedding in our family that will take place over in the 7 mile Beach area but have enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle of the city when we’re back at the Villa. The home was stocked with several necessary condiments and a few other needed items for our stay. It is beautifully decorated and has an amazing view of the ocean. The only thing negative is that the master bedroom King bed is very hard and the shower doors leak a lot of water onto the floor of the master bath upstairs and the downstairs bathroom. Overall we have had a wonderful experience and will definitely choose Mahogany Point again. Thank you for making our stay memorable for our family!
