A little disappointing

Spacious room, pool available next door for $3 per person per visit, Sri Lankan breakfast was huge and varied

Slow service- one hour for cup of tea! Served beer but no opener, only 4 small chairs and one table to sit on outside for the whole home stead. They lit a fire by the pool as we sat down. Great potential if some effort was made to finish some of the property details

Absolutely perfect!

Everything. Beautifull paintings on the walls, nice dining area and great staircase. We were welcomed with delicious mango lassi drink and water. The owners are amazing, helpfull and can help with arrange anything. Food available in the hotel was absolutely amazing. We tried noodles, rice, curry, breakfast. Everything was tasty. Portions enermous. Clean and fresh bed sheets and bathroom! Big plus! Hard to find a clean bathroom in Sri Lanka.... Fridge in our room, kettle was a big advantage.

Swimming pool belongs to another hotel, entrance fee is 3$. Not really a big disadvantage because of a great value for money in this place

Riesiges Frühstück

Nettes Personal, sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war ganz ansprechend. Bett gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist überwältigend umfangreich. Nirgends so ein Angebot auf den Tisch gestellt bekommen.

Schon etwas abgewohnt. Leichte technische Mängel, wie defektes Licht im Bad.

Toller Aufenthalt in Dambulla.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Nähe zur Bushaltestelle war von Vorteil. Das Frühstück war üppig und sehr lecker. Außerdem sind es sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Absolute Weiterempfehlung.

Sehr familiäre kleine Unterkunft, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis.

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind wirklich sehr freundlich, es war sauber und wir haben viele Vorschläge zur Tagesplanung erhalten. Die vorgeschlagene Jeeptour können wir empfehlen auch wenn sie recht teuer ist (gute Möglichkeit um nach Kandy zu kommen) Das Frühstück war üppig und lecker teilweise jedoch echt scharf.

Leider kam an dem Tag, als wir den Sonnenaufgang sehen wollten der bestellte Fahrer nicht. Wir gingen also enttäuscht wieder ins Bett. Kurz darauf klopfte jedoch der Gastgeber an, er hatte eine alternative kleine Tour auf einen nahegelegenen Berg geplant.

Wir kamen nachts zu spät nach Hause, die Türen waren überall zu. Nach circa 10-15 min klopfen und rufen hat uns jedoch jemand aufgemacht. Es war unser Fehler das wir zu spät waren. Gute Lage, schönes großes Zimmer

Wir hatten Bettwanzen im Bett, sodass meine Beine komplett zerbissen war. Hatten wir aber nicht beanstandet, da es überall mal vor kommen kann.

The hosts, the cleanliness, the hospitality, and the food Shakila and Kabinda are the most kindest , helping and loving hosts you can find. They put in their heart and soul to cater your stay.

Friendly owners. Location very near Dambulla bus station (5 min walk). Comfy bed.

Hole in the wall in the bathroom letting the insects in. Wobbly toilet. WiFi not great. No plugs near the bed.

Very friendly hosts, juice on arrival, able to take us to the Dambulla Caves via tuk tuk for no extra cost

Air conditioner unfortunately wasn't working properly as hadn't been in use for awhile, and pool was out of action for our stay (but we were told is back in action at our check out)

Short but lovely stay

The Pool was very nice and some of the staff brought us watermelon juice to the Pool, that was really sweet. The staff was so nice and friendly and drove us to a restaurant nearby in the evening because it rained so much. They also prepared a delicious and rich srilankan Breakfast for us.

The owner did not know about our booking, so the staff weren't prepared, but they did everything to make it comfy for us. We also got an room update. Also the owner did not respond to our Email, that should inform him about our late arrival.

The place to go!

Amazingly beautiful house on the back of Dambulla, far enough to be away from the noise, but close enough to reach all that you need! The pool 😍 The people, they are the best! They’ll do all they can to make you feel at home, and give you any information on things to around! The location is perfect to visit all the spots around The food 😍 breakfast, diner, all you can dream of!

Very warm welcome to Sri Lanka

Very friendly and helpful family. Rooms are big and have an ac, which is highly recommended. Pool usage is possible against a fee. I had a wonderful stay and would come back anytime!

Wonderful family run guest house, amazing breakfast, peaceful setting

We had a great stay at this family run guest house. the family went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed, and the breakfast was fantastic. the property is very peaceful, but still a short walk from the Dambulla main strip. we used their uncles pool on the property next door for a small fee. there’s is a balcony and living area upstairs for the guests to use. I definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing hosts, so nice and kind-hearted, you are like in a family! Kavin helped us a lot 🙂🙂🙂 He took as to the cave temple for free, found a scooter for as, dropped to the bus station. The breakfast was truly amazing, various, with local dishes, to big for two person and super delicious))) Villa has a beautiful garden, it’s 5-10 minutes to bus station and main road, but it’s quiet, peaceful and with a good view from the roof (you can even see Sigeria)! Highly recommended ❤️

Nice breakfast, always at least a couple of dishes to choose from. Big rooms with a lot of space for luggge, etc. The greatest thing about the stay was how kind and helpful the hosts were, they helped to organise local tours and arranged transport to our next location. Great place to stay in Dambulla

Amazingly hospitable family, with very generous and delicious breakfasts. We also ordered a very tasty dinner, which was prepared by the mother of the family. Very clean place, host free ща charge took us by tuk-tuk to the local temple and then to the bus. The place is very quiet and pleasant.

Beautiful stay with good food and just 5m walk from the bus stop

The host family is friendly and served us delicious Sri Lankan Rice and Curry as dinner. Also the breakfast was good. Room was good with nice painting. The AC was working good and the bed was comfy. We had a very good time in Dambulla because the owner family arranged rides to the temples and a safari to Hurulu Eco Park for us. Looking forward to visiting you guys again!

In the beginning we found it a bit hard to communicate due to language issues but all has been talked well when we met the owners son who was fluent in English. Be sure to watch for the large board saying "gold crown residence >>> 40m" because this is the small road to take. Then it's easy to find. We were sent walking to the back side of the whole area by gps navigation which turned out to be a bad idea in high noon heat. Road signs over Smartphone navigation is key ;)

THE BEST IN THE AREA!

The location is perfect, the room was super spacious, the water pressure and temperature were the best in Sri Lanka (and I’ve travelled the whole country) The food was outstanding. I literally ate their Coconut Sambol with every meal!! IT IS to die for ❤️ I originally was planning to stay for 1 night, but stayed for 3 instead. They helped me to arrange a bike rental, when literally there were no scooters available in the area. and the scooter was a brand new Honda! So I was able to take day trips to sigirya and pollonaruwa by myself, saving $ on the driver option. They even did my laundry on request. Amazing, very hospitable and kind family. Don’t even look any further! This is your perfect place to stay in Dambulla amd sigirya area! 🙌🏽

Convenient, Clean, and Comfortable

The rooms are very comfortable and modern and true food is excellent! What really stood out was the staff! They went out of their way by giving me an early morning breakfast before I took a tuk tuk to Sigiryia and they even braved the busy bus terminal on a religious holiday to navigate a seat on the bus for me! I couldn’t be more grateful to the family that runs this hotel and I strongly recommend it for your visit to Sigiryia, the Dambulla Rock Temple, and a 1 minute walk from the bus terminal.

It was perfect. No complaints.
