The duplex was in a great location, good amenities BUT the host was non existent until last day. The listing is managed by evolve which is a joke. They keep giving g you the run around on issues.

We really loved the location! We loved the dock and decks, but the house is showing signs of wear. We were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness, and we encountered a few cockroaches during our stay which was a bummer (but maybe unavoidable).

Great house!! We stayed here for the seafood festival at moorehead and to spend a few days kyaking and fishing. The house was perfect for us! My family enjoyed the pier and caught lots of great fish. Loved the back deck the the cool nights and the gas fire pit. The whole street lost power one night so we were able to eat dinner by the fire it was amazing! We will definitely be back!!

The house was as described except the room with the twin bunk beds. The room was way too small for those beds and you could not see the tv at all unless you were on the top bunks or one of the bottom bunks. The pathway was way too small between the beds as well. Bring your own pots, pans and kitchen utensils if you plan to cook because the ones provided are outdated and need to be replaced. Bring extra towels and washcloths as well. The house is great to stay in and has space for 6 people. There is a pull out couch that is not in the description in the living room definitely an alternative to the bunk beds and also the ottomans are like twins beds. If we had known that is where we would have been. There is a gas grill so if you want charcoal bring your own small grill. Very secluded that you do not have to worry about parking. The upstairs refrigerator does not get as cold but the downstairs is great. You can wash your laundry throughout your stay as well. If you are not great at stairs this property maybe challenging but is still beautiful.

We came for the marathon weekend. What a beautiful setting. I spent most of Saturday in the hot tub after the race. It’s nice to have the blue tooth setting to play music from my phone. It was everything I wanted it to be.

My husband and I stayed here. The house is on the sound side, right across the street from the beach! An especially lovely view in the evening, at sunset, from the private dock.

It was nice very roomy for me and my family but there was one this saw some roaches running around.
Everything was nice got a few complaints from the neighbors when we got loud a little and my kids told me when they was at the hot tub they connected the Bluetooth and the sound was loud when they connected it so it was a accident the neighbors came out and yelled at my kids telling them they was the owners and they will kick them out .

Friendly and Relaxing
The pictures were a true representation of the house and location. All interactions with the locals were very positive and friendly. The home owners were very prompt in answering any questions and very attentive to our needs. So impressed a second trip in booked for October!

Emerald Isle
Beautiful place and location. Right on the sound and across the street from the beach. House needs some small maintaince on the appliances. Vents in the ceiling were falling down, but that was reported and should be fixed. Ask to make sure there has been a recent pest control maintaince before checking in. We had issues with bugs due to the wood decks and trees around the property.

Perfect beach getaway!
Great property right off the water. Plenty of space inside the home for my family. Walk across the road to the beach or enjoy the bay right off the dock. Would highly recommend!

Embarrassing
Place was old and very beat up. No a/c on top floor. Owner responded however she couldn’t get anyone to fix it until the day we left. I am returning to Emerald Island in August, I will not stay there . Overpriced and bedding was poor quality.

Cute place on Emerald Isle
This duplex house is adorable. Emerald Isle is adorable. The address was a little confusing, so finding the house with our GPS threw us off a bit. We punched into our GPS the address listed, but the house number has an East & West to the condo, which doesn’t show up on the GPS. The property manager answered my email quickly when I had questions. The only thing I would say is because the house is right on the water, the salt definetly influences some of the locks & pans. But I think the house is clean, adorable, well stocked with basics, grocery stores & the like very close in proximity. The back deck overlooking the water was peaceful, relaxing & pleasant, with rocking adorandack chairs to rock in, it made it pleasant for morning, noon & night.
I would stay here again, should I visit the area

Great location but not clean... not acceptable during Covid-19
This place is in the perfect vacation for a beach getaway. The beach access is right across the street which is nice. It’s a great view looking out over the waterway from back of house, and nice if you wanted to swim back there or kayak, etc. However, when we arrived, it did not feel like it was cleaned. There was dirt/dust on a lot of surfaces.. like bathroom counters, kitchen etc. There was sand all over the kitchen table when we pulled the chairs off. The toilets didn’t seem very clean. Since this is during Covid-19, we did not find this acceptable, so we had to go through with our own cleaning supplies first just to be safe. It just looked like someone had came in to put sheets on and leave towels, but nothing else was touched. It is too bad because it was a great location, however because of that experience, we wouldn’t necessarily want to rent it again.

Dated/damaged property with inaccurate listing
I stayed here with three friends for two nights. While the location and size of the house were nice, the listing is inaccurate.
At check-in, we were told that the homeowners do not provide toilet paper, paper towels, or hand and dish soap. Neither the listing nor the check-in emails alerted us to this, so it came as a surprise. Given that we checked in at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, this was actually shocking and negligent communication on the part of the property managers and homeowner. Additionally, there is no cooking oil or salt/pepper in the kitchen. Further, no toiletries at all in the bathrooms.
It should be noted that the listing says "KITCHEN: fully equipped .. cooking basics" and also "GENERAL: complimentary toiletries."
I found this particularly annoying and misleading, on top of the fact that the house is dated, the furniture is stained, the linens are very cheap quality, and the south facing side of the house has sustained significant damage (hurricane?) and has not been fixed.
The pictures have been altered to make the place look nicer than it is, and the listing is not accurate.
If I had to do it again, I would stay in the adjoining condo, which looks much nicer.

Clean and Cozy
The home was very neat and clean. Everything looked fresh and newly decorated. The location was excellent with views of the sound and a block from the beach. The firepit made for a lovely evening of fireside chats and chilling.
