Good location. Driveway is a little confusing. Nice deck and hot tub. House is clean. Main bedroom has Queen sized bed, guest bedroom has two twin beds. There’s a small living area with a comfortable couch, a dining area and a small kitchen.

Property was in a very nice neighborhood! Nice and quiet after a long day of being out and about. House had everything you would need for a relaxing stay.
Did not use the Hot Tub but that is a nice feature!
Would recommend this property.

The photos on this listing really need an update, as we feel we didn't expect what we pulled up to. Landscaping was severely needed as everything was overgrown. The yard shown is not fenced and there isn't much privacy since it's a corner lot. Upon entering the home the first thing we saw was that the washing machine was broken which we were not informed of.
The second thing we noticed is the house's AC is provided via window units--which isn't a problem for most, however we have horrible allergies and this house had no ventilation. We had to run the AC 24/7 for it to feel cool, which also made the house feel muggy and humid. My husband got really sick the first night and only felt relief by sitting outside.
The first morning I cooked bacon, which was a mistake because the stove does not have a vent above it, and since the AC was in the window we couldn't vent out the house even after opening other windows in other rooms.
Then there's the bugs and cleanliness. We weren't informed that at some point there was a bug infestation and noticed ant traps everywhere and dead ants under the cabinets and on the floors. Every night we were also killing earwigs in the living room and on the walls.
Nothing looked clean, overall the floors and walls looked dirty or were stained. The soaps in the house weren't refilled, but instead just refilled with water.
Overall, it's a house, it served it's purpose, but wouldn't recommend until the listing is properly maintained.

The host is great. Fast and reliable communication. The house is themed for a beachy feel. It is about a 12ish minute drive to the lake. The 2 bedrooms are good size as are the closets. Come to think of it, the only undersized room is the bathroom. The bathroom door can shut if you force it (I think). The shower, because the bathroom door doesn't like to close and doesn't have a fan, can set off the smoke detector in the bedroom. The transitions between the living and kitchen/bedroom spaces are big, at least an inch. Everyone stubbed a toe at least once. The twin beds are more like squeaky cots. Something probably not in the host control was the washer being broken during our visit. The yard is big and mostly private. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to get in and out. The hot tub is good. There are plenty of towels and hooks for wet towels in the entry way. Overall, this home is good for a stay. The price matches what you get.

This is our 2nd stay at this house and we had another awesome stay. We had 3 adults and 2 kids (14 y/o and 11 y/o). We did bring an inflatable mattress to put in the living room to give us more sleep space, but overall enough places to sleep for 4-5 adults and/or kids.
We grilled and built a fire and it was great to have all the supplies available for us (except the firewood which they tell you you need to buy). There's a Martin's store about 4 minutes away for buying groceries. The kitchen is stocked with all of the utensils, plates, toaster and some spices. Really they have thought of everything for you if you're going to be cooking or grilling.
There's plenty of towels and beach towels for the hot tub, which was an awesome added feature since it was too cold and rainy for us to go to the beach.
My 11 y/o son has Autism and using air B&Bs are really the best way for us to travel with his diet restrictions and the noises he can tolerate and amount of things we have to bring from home so we really appreciate finding awesome homes like this one that make check in easy and have all the essentials.

Handrail going up steps from utility to kitchen. Grab bars needed in shower ...at least 3 of them. Bathroom door does not fit and close...carpenter needed to adjust it. Night lights are needed. Walmart sells a multi pack. $12. Hooks needed in bathroom for towels and clothing. Dog poop was on patio, we dont have a dog. Bedroom ceiling fan needs chains extended. Patio chairs are coming apart and holes.

PERFECT location far enough away from the hustle and bustle while still within good driving distance (10-15 min) of things to do and see. Our new favorite beach came from a list given by the host’s recommendation :-) Great sized yard to play games and let the kids burn off energy too. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for just one night prior to a fishing trip. We didn't use the hot tub but it was a nice option! Quiet area, but plenty of room for a short stay. The kitchen was small but useable. I would stay here again!

Enjoyed the house, The weather did'nt cooperate so we didn't get to use the hottub. But yard has a nice private feel. Will definitely come back again.

My husband and I stayed with our elderly dog who has some mobility challenges. The house is older, but the hosts have given it cheerful fresh paint inside and we appreciated the new mattress and carpet in the primary bedroom. (All floors are wood except the primary bed.) The bathroom is quite small as noted by other reviewers, but functional. The communication and responsiveness with the host were excellent - within minutes - at most 20 mins. We came in early March so could not enjoy the hot tub or backyard area, but those seemed like nice additions.

We had such a nice relaxing weekend. The house is so cute and has everything you need. I cant wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the great deck in the back and the bonfire. We will definitely love to make this a yearly birthday celebration.

This place was very clean and well put together. Easy check in and located in a safe peaceful little neighborhood! Would stay again!

We came with our dog for a weekend away from the city and the house was just as lovely in the off season. The stay was amazingly clean and the check in was simple and easy. The recommendations left by the host made a great date night and downtown St. Joesph is as much of a gem in the winter. There were beautiful holiday light displays and with a few extra layers the state parks were just as fun and we had them all to ourselves. It was a fantastic stay thank you for having us!

The property was adequate and clean. Bathroom might be a concern for a larger person, very small to get in and out. I would recommend more washcloths, one toel and 1 washcloth is not adequate. The bathroom and bedroom doors need attention. It was impossible to shut and open them without waking someone.

Convenient drive to most places. Clean, I did not need to contact the host so I cannot comment on that. But I would stay here again if needed.

We had no problem with musky smells as others said. The place was very clean. Bathroom is small and might need shelving to put things on while showering but towels were nice and fresh. Yard was great for our dogs!! I have nothing bad to say about property. Close enough to stuff but away from traffic. Would use again!

So glad there was coffee for us ! That was a nice touch. Place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. Just wished that the 10am check-out time could have been later so we could have enjoy our Sunday morning a bit more.

We were in town for a family event and this home was perfect for a home base for us. Kitchen was well stocked. The backyard fire pit was wonderful. Comfortable beds. My only comment is the bathroom is small but usable.

Relaxing environment. The host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Great little house just 10 minutes from downtown area.

We needed a place to sleep while visiting some family nearby. This place was perfect to rest our heads while we spent the majority of the time at family’s house or the beach. It is dated and small, but very clean and has everything you will need. Each room has individual A/C window units but it did cool the house down adequately at night. The host sent all info days ahead of time and overall, it was a great stay.
(If you are prone to airborne allergies or have seasonal allergies, keep in mind this is an older house. This is would not be a comfortable stay for anyone sensitive to common allergens.)

Nice quiet location close to everything!
We really enjoyed our stay. Not too far from beach, restaurants & shops. The whole house was well stocked and we really enjoyed the outdoor space with grill, fire pit and comfortable seating. The owner was quick to respond when there was a hiccup with the entry code not being sent. Thanks for great accommodations!

By the owner's own scale, we give this house 1 star because we left early. We spent as much time at the beach as possible to minimize our time in the house, and decided to just head out before our stay was over. We left early because of the condition of the interior, namely the strong smell of pets and smoke throughout, the mildew covered clothes washer which we didn't feel safe using, sections of the ceiling peeling away and hanging down, and exposed light fixtures. And in case of emergency, good luck finding the fire extinguisher which was hidden behind the under-counter garbage can. Having a 'strict no smoking policy' does not mean people do not smoke, and there were noticeable orange streaks on numerous walls, indicating untreated smoke stains and saturation. The bathroom is extremely small with no surfaces to place anything and no ventilation. The exterior around the house was unkept and overgrown to the point we could not even find a water spigot to rinse off our beach items outside. One room had carpet and that carpet was very worn down, possibly from frequent shampooing for pets. But the curtains and furniture hold pet and smoke odors the same as carpets, so beware if you or your family have any pet allergies.
Pros: The exterior deck and firepit are nice, and a much better way to spend your time at the house. Also, we found the internet to be sufficient for streaming on the living room TV, and the A/C units in several rooms were enough to keep the temperature comfortable.

Just what we needed
This house was the perfect getaway for my 2 year old, my husband, our 2 dogs, and myself. The yard was just the right size for the pups and my daughter to run around in while we lounged on the chairs outside. It is very close to downtown St. Joe, where we spent most of our time. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with the basics that you would need for a great stay. I love the fact there was a washer and dryer - this came in handy as we had wet swimsuits/towels that I wanted to wash prior to heading back home. From the easy check-in to the check-out we had a great time and loved staying at this cute little house. Thanks for having us!
