About this house rental
Enjoy stunning mountain views from your own private backyard retreat, complete with pool, fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. Soaring saguaro cactus and twisted mesquite trees dot the property and surrounding preserve, enhancing the privacy and natural desert landscape. Peaceful star studded nights are enjoyed from the backyard with cactus friends.
Recently resurfaced pool, new floor tile, updated bathroom, and kitchen.
Great for groups and families, Desert Vibrations sleeps 10 and the vintage southwest decor compliments the experience. Amazing restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes, downtown and the University are an easy 15 minute drive.
With many mature saguaros on the property and the proximity to the Catalina mountains, the views are magical from every vantage point on the property. We had a great stay in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson. The pool was large and refreshing in the summer heat. Being in the foothills was breezy at night and the views were spectacular!

This place is very cute and in a great neighborhood. The views, private pool and layout of the house is unbeatable, and gave us the full Catalina foothills experience. We saw lots of different birds and a herd of Javalina’s, which was pretty cool. Lots of Saguaro cactuses also, as well as other types of cactuses in the landscaping.
Check in and check out process was extremely easy. The house was tidy and was in great working order, far better than other places I’ve stayed. Beds are comfortable as well which is a plus.
Great proximity to other areas as well. M
Great and easy communication with the hosts.

Great, comfy house with a lovely backyard for relaxing and enjoying the quiet setting. Loved stargazing, wading in the pool and al fresco dining. Would definitely come back again!

This house was perfect for a long weekend visit to Tucson. Location is close to amazing restaurant choices, hiking, shopping and yet the house is super quiet and insulated. We loved the home, it had all that we needed to relax and enjoy our time away. The pool and hot tub added to our relaxation. This home is super clean and just as advertised. We loved it!!

This was a great house for my family of five. We had access to hiking and running, the pool and hot tub were lovely, and everything was as advertised. Very happy with our stay!!

I took my parents here for a quick winter getaway. The property was exactly what we wanted: perfectly clean, cozy bedding and comfortable beds, excellent restaurants nearby, near-by hiking trail. But best of all was the backyard. It was completely private and the view of the mountains and saguaro were breathtaking. We spent hours outside either in the hot tub or on the comfortable lounges enjoying nature. Strongly recommend!

Fantastic Getaway!
We had a girls weekend here and it was outstanding! We were 7 women in our late 30's and I was worried it was going to be too small for us, but not at all. The main bedroom has a king and a trundle bed, so we had 4 ladies in there (plenty of space, big room, huge closet!), another 2 shared the other bedroom and I slept on the daybed with the beautiful sunrise view in the "arizona room" aka sunroom. No one had to sleep on the futon even :) The master bathroom is huge and so it was fun to all get ready to go out together. There were so many nice personal touches, and the decor was great - the owners really go above and beyond. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard is private with a gorgeous view. As you can see - very picturesque! We loved the finger rock hike and the trailhead is just up the road. Uber took ~25 mins to downtown. My only "complaint" is that the patio furniture is not what is advertised and in my opinion not as nice, but that's a pretty superficial complaint when everything else was great! Thank you Erin for everything!

Lovely, cozy place to enjoy the desert
We loved everything about it. Location - not too close to the city, at the very edge of the desert, safe neighborhood, private. Hose is well used and loved but it adds to the charm. It’s super clean and very welcoming. Kitchen is minimal in supplies - if you plan to cook a lot you might want to bring your own favorite things. Everything works, pool was perfect. Just great. Couldn’t recommend more if you plan to stay in the area. Thank you!

Gorgeous views!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home with amazing mountain and foothill views. The heated pool was enjoyed by the whole family each night. We especially enjoyed the Arizona Room in the morning to relax and take in the view. The property could use a little extra TLC to update a few things but overall was very comfortable. We did have the impression from the website that there was a third bedroom, which is what the Arizona room can be used as.

Beautiful backyard
Loved the location and quiet neighborhood. Central enough to all the places we wanted to visit. The house was very clean but a bit outdated. We put our 3 kids in the master bedroom which worked out perfectly while we took the 2nd bedroom and bath. The kids had plenty of bathroom space with no complaints. We enjoyed our stay!

Great Location. Pricey. Not for More than Four Guests However
The property is very nice in terms of location, with wonderful views. Home is dated circa 1977, and pool / hot tub and outdoor furniture needs updating. Really can only accommodate 4 adults with privacy. Pricey for what the property offers. At this price point, one would expect at least 3 bedrooms and a more fully stocked kitchen. The listing says sleeps 8 but that isn’t really correct (sleeps 4 with privacy), 8 if your kids sleep with you in the master and a couple sleeps in the open in the sunroom. The owners are very responsive. Code on door changed before our checkout time and the owners seem to want to rush you out by 10am.

Fabulous view; great house
Nice mid-century house, with a stunning view and lovely pool, in a great Foothills location. A few things need updating, but Erin is on it! Would definitely like to stay again.

Great views
The owners have done a nice job of modernizing an older home with mid century modern furniture and touches. Everything is provided. The mountains are right there and the sunsets are spectacular. Not super luxe but very comfortable and up to date and perfect for our family visit. The location can’t be beat!

An oasis
Comfortable and quiet with beautiful mountain views. Everything you need in the kitchen. A super warm pool that the kids loved, with plenty of towels. Well located with great hiking and restaurants nearby. The only downside was that the tap water was really bad and the water filter didn't help (probably needs replacing). Super responsive owner so I'm betting that gets fixed soon.

Great place just got off to a bad start
Great 2 bed 2 bath home with a very nice view. Once we arrived, we found the inside to be very clean but the patio and pool could have used some work. The pool was dirty with bugs and leaves and had pool vacuum in it. The owner was very responsive in handling the pool issue. The patio was not brought up to the owner but the patio needed swept up and some extra care.
With that said, the place is very nice, private, and relaxing. There is everything one needs for food, supplies, etc within 15-20 minutes. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again.

Love it inside and out
The house was very pleasant and unique with a bit of a retro vibe. But the outside made everything perfect. Great view, great pool and perfect desert ambience. Absolutely loved it. One of the best house rental experiences ever.

Quiet and Relaxing
Desert Vibrations was a great getaway in the sun for us. The view of the Catalinas was amazing even when it rained. The house backs up to a empty lot/"greenbelt" so it felt very secluded and it was quiet. The 2 huge Saguaros in the backyard made for a beautiful backdrop with the Catalinas that we intend to make into a picture for our house. We loved the proximity to hikes and especially liked the Finger Rock Trail Head and Pontatoc Canyon that were right up the road. We also hiked the Sarasota trailhead and the Maiden Pools. Speaking of which, it was great to have both a pool and a hot tub as the nights were cool. The house is light and airy. The added touch of local coffee that was provided was awesome as well as having a chemex to make good coffee! Jen was available via the vrbo email and was very communicative. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

A gem in the foothills!
Desert Vibrations is so charming and comfortable and beautiful! The landscape, location and amenities were just wonderful! I loved the decor throughout the home...especially the tapestries and blankets. The landscape and setting was a dream...amazing sunset views from the front and back yard. Heard and saw lots of variety of birds in the morning with my cup of coffee - it was amazing. The heated pool and hot tub are added bonuses, my kids loved alternating between both...the pool toys came in handy with them also. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. The setting is just so beautiful and private...and communication was great and timely. I miss it already!

Desert Home
The owners were very nice and responsive. Communication was always clear and prompt. We had no issues during our stay. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We had a little trouble with the front door lock but with patience and a few tries were able to enter the home without contacting the owner for assistance. The location made it possible to visit Saguaro (east and west) and Sabino Canyon and also had many conveniences all around. The main reason I couldn’t give it an overall 5 star rating is the kitchen...for the price we thought the appliances and kitchen might be due for an update. We weren’t sure if the dishwasher hadn’t been ran and the dishes in it were dirty or maybe it had been ran and the dishwasher just isn’t getting the dishes clean. The pool was heated (additional charge), it could use a new paint job on the bottom but the cacti, mountains and comfy lounger next to the pool made that easy enough to over look. Hot tub is perfect for two adults watching kids in the pool. I wish I would have seen wood for the outdoor fire pit. I very much appreciated the landscaping and plants in the yard. Overall, the home has an older feel to it but was clean, appeared to have new carpet and very much presented as pictured. Our favorite part of the property was by far the outdoor views.

The house is in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful desert landscaping with many resident saguaro cacti. The pool and outdoor furniture added to a relaxing atmosphere where one could enjoy nature. The views were always great and especially at sunrise.

Nice!
Loved the view, pool was great. We had an issue with the door entry code and it was handled very fast - great support. Quiet area and close to groceries, restaurants, etc. Roads in subdivision are awful, not sure why when it's warm always - in Ohio, we get potholes from freeze/thaw conditions.

Views from backyard “knock your socks off”
The view from the backyard of the Catalinas/Finger Rock is nothing short of breathtaking. We could sit and stare for hours taking in the beautiful desert foliage and bird life. The home itself is beautifully appointed with calming desert colors and lovely spaces throughout to relax and enjoy! Although we were just the two of us there is very comfortable sleeping for many more with comfortable bedding for all. The king size bed was Devine! We would love to return to this desert oasis soon!
