The home is lovely and the views are breathtaking. The host could not have been more helpful and accessible, but we didn’t have a single problem! The entire outdoor space was perfect for a family BBQ with eight people. Highly recommend.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic vacation home in Vermont, and it exceeded all our expectations.
The home is set in a stunning location, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. The scenic views from the windows are nothing short of breathtaking.
Thank you Paula and Charlie!!
Every detail in the home was thoughtfully considered. The furnishings were both stylish and comfortable, and the property was impeccably clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the large deck with a grill was a fantastic spot for outdoor dining.
The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. They provided us with detailed instructions and local recommendations, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests’ experience.

Enjoyed long weekend with our adult children and partners. It is a lovely comfortable house in a great setting. Would love to make a return visit soon.

The house had absolutely everything we could have wanted for a large family gathering. From outdoor games, to extra touches in the house, surprisingly well stocked kitchen, spaces to gather and visit both inside and outside, this property was perfect. Paula was helpful and welcoming. It’s on a lovely rural road great for walks. And to access it, you even have to cross a covered bridge! It’s the quintessential Vermont experience. But by far the truly priceless feature is the breathtaking view. We loved being there in mid-summer but I’m sure it’s spectacular year round.

Our family has always described Quechee Lakes as our happy place. Our stay in The Blue House during Dartmouth reunions was perfect. The home is inviting and grand, very well appointed, and maintained beautifully. The views of the mountain ranges are spectacular, only thing better was the colorful painted sunsets! The property is manicured and charming with open lawn and lily blooming pond with water feature providing a relaxing setting and great privacy. We loved cooking in the open kitchen and visiting our favorite spots in Woodstock, Hanover and Lebanon. The love and care the owners have poured into this property is appreciated and felt. So glad they have chosen to share this perfect home ❤️ We will definitely return!!

We had a wonderful time at the blue house. Paula was very welcoming and communicative throughout the rental process. The home is lovely, with a well appointed kitchen and gorgeous views of the mountains. There was space for both the adults and children to relax separately as well as enjoy family games together by the fire. The location is terrific right between the Quechee Club and Woodstock. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We loved our time at this house! The views are spectacular and the house itself is wonderful - big & spacious, very well appointed, clean, comfortable, really close for skiing at Quechee and exploring Woodstock - everything we could have wanted for our 2 families. We look forward to staying here again!

We loved everything about this house! It was truly amazing and offered everything we needed for our group. We were traveling with adult family members and there was plenty of space to enjoy time together and private time. The decor was beautiful. Every nook and cranny is well-thought-out. The grounds offer lots of terrifc outdoor space. Last but certainly not least is the mountain view! It's embedded in our minds and we will carry it with us!

Home was really nice. Four bedrooms and 1 in the basement. Master suite on first floor which was perfect. Side yard had very nice deck and seating for 8. Fire pit in good location. Enjoyed the charcoal grill as well. Property is in a great spot, couple miles from Woodstock and right down the road from Sugarbush Farm. Views are spectacular. Paula’s a great owner, highly communicative which was appreciated. An excellent stay in the mountains of Vermont!!

It’s hard to put into words how perfect our sibling reunion was thanks to the King’s beautifully spacious, well-thought out home. We enjoyed every inch of it, inside and out!
We would rate our time in the Blue House, and our hosts Paula and Charlie, a 10 out of 5!!
Thanks for the unforgettable time!

We loved this house! We were traveling with our friends and we each had two kids under 3-years-old. The set-up worked great and the house was very spacious and allowed for easy noise management. The kitchen was well appointed and made cooking easy. We loved the views and felt the location was idyllic. The hosts were easy and lovely to communicate with. The Quechee club was also extra special. Highly recommend!!

My friends had the best weekend at this house. So dreamy. We can’t wait to return.

Paula is exceptionally responsive to questions or concerns. My family was booked for a long weekend. Two days before our trip my wife's father died and we had to go south instead of north. Understanding that we would still be responsible for our rental Paula allowed us and even suggested we allow my sister's family to use the house instead. All worked out thanks to Paula's great communication, flexibility and understanding. My sister's family had a FANTASTIC weekend and implored that we someday have a chance to experience it ourselves. Thank you Paula!

Our family greatly enjoyed this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous views, an awesome kitchen and very comfortable beds made for a relaxing holiday week. Paula was an excellent and gracious host! Many thanks!

Exactly as advertised. Charming, great kitchen and space to gather as a family or group.

The house was graciously decorated; comfortable to live in; clean and warmly decorated. Although we didn't cook, every possible utensil, dish, cooking pot/pan/dish was available. The master bedroom, which was the only one we used, had a comfortable bed; the ensuite bath was large well appointed and fit our needs.
We cannot think of anything more we could have wished for or needed.

This house is absolutely beautiful, inside and out! Even though we missed peak foliage, the view from this property is unbelievable…we loved having coffee while enjoying the view of the mountains. Paula was a pleasure to work with and always responded immediately. We couldn’t have been happier with the house and all of the amenities. We will definitely be back!

I chose Paula’s house for a two-night stay with my three adult children and their spouses. It was great to have a proper bedroom for all the couples (no one in bunk beds!)
We couldn’t get enough of the view from the living room - and the outdoor space was delightful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The house is absolutely beautiful, but the view is spectacular! We stayed for two night for a local wedding and were more than thrilled with the house. Paula was wonderful; very communicative. Everything was just as advertised. Thanks so much for sharing the house with us!

The house was beautiful and exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It was conveniently located for our trip into downtown Woodstock. The homes owner, Paula, was in communication to ensure we got into the house ok and that we had everything we needed which was so appreciated. We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home and had a great trip!

Charlie and Paula‘s attention to detail was incredible! We easily could have stayed a full month in this beautiful home. It has a well equipped laundry room and kitchen. If you like games, there are plenty to play. We could not have chosen a better place.

Our month-long stay at 1968 Hillside Rd, Hartford, exceeded our already sky-high expectations along every dimension.
• The home is ideally structured with two master suites - one with cathedral ceiling, the other as a virtual treehouse on the second floor. Two smaller bedrooms nicely furnished share a large, skylit bathroom.
• The stunning, inviting chef’s kitchen opens to a viewing room framed by an extensive picture window looking out at a visual feast of overlapping mountains rising above fields of hillside trees. Likely to become your favorite mountainside views from anywhere.
• The flagstone patio and teak deck, large and perfectly situated are the ideal spots for outdoor breakfasts and cocktail time.
• The house has six elegant comfortable swivel chairs in four rooms to allow you to follow the sun’s magical settings down the mountains.
• The ideal location of this house provides genuine country living only 10-minutes from Woodstock, from two terrific food and beverage markets and ideal hiking opportunities from Faulkner Park and the 500-acres of Rockefeller trails.
• Your host, Paula King, is the most helpful, responsive and responsible host we could imagine. She genuinely enjoys your happiness and is eager to help add to it. Information on all you want to know about is at your fingertips and her insightful responses to all our questions added greatly to our enjoyment.
• If you enjoy travelling, exploring, engaging and exercising the way we do, you have come to the right place. This home and host have our highest recommendation without reservation.
Will we be back? You bettcha! We’ve already traveled on to a different part of Vermont, staying at a different, more expensive VRBO property. Some shoes are just impossible to fill. Nobody does it better than the Kings of 1968.
By the way, we’re not relatives and we’ve never even met them. But it would be our great pleasure to do so!

Quintessential Vermont
It has been over 10 years since we have been back to the Woodstock/Quechee area, and finding the Blue House made the trip five star and reminded us why we love Vermont! A beautiful home, with absolutely everything you might need and then some! A private, quiet oasis to come home to after a day of adventure....the house, the grounds....all amazing. What lovely hosts that were at the ready to answer any questions and offer wonderful suggestions for dining and hiking in the area ~ our favorite way to find fun! The view from this home every day and every evening, combined with the peace and quiet...made the trip a treasured memory. Can't wait to come back. Thank you, Paula!

Perfect in every way!
The listing photos, while incredible, don't do this property justice! It was so much larger than anticipated, and each space very well thought-out and appointed. The layout allowed our family to gather together comfortably, to find quiet spaces when we needed them, and to enjoy sunsets, amazing views, and great outdoor spaces and activities. We were in the area for a family wedding in Woodstock. The rehearsal was at Simon Pearce, the wedding at the Woodstock in, and this incredible home less than 10 minutes from each, making what could have been daunting wedding logistics for out-of-towners a snap! So comfortable, so beautiful, so versatile. Due to my immunocompromise, I have had to avoid hotels, so I VRBO a lot. I think this may be my favorite rental ever. Everything clicked, and Paula was super-responsive and so very pleasant in all of her communications. I'm already thinking about planning another trip to Woodstock, just to stay in Paula's home. A truly fabulous find!

We had a wonderful visit at this fantastic home. The setting is awesome - on a hillside looking over the Green Mountains. The home itself is comfortable, tastefully decorated, and has everything you need (kitchen stuff, Wi-Fi, deck, etc.). Being able to access the Quechee Club was a bonus - we enjoyed being able to use the gym, the pool, and the golf course. And the area overall is great - lots to do - restaurants, hiking, cultural events, etc. We can’t imagine a better place to stay with n this part of the world!
