About this house rental
The "Bird's Nest" is nestled on 3 acres of trees. It is a 2500 square feet home of quiet and serene uniquely layout. Our cabin is an upscaled 4-bedroom/2.5 bathroom home. It is 6 miles from Dollywood, 8 miles from Pigeon Forge, and 15 miles from Gatlinburg. The cabin is located in Sevierville, you will not have to go thru all the traffic to get to it. It is located off Veteran's Blvd away from the traffic, but super close to everything. The cabin is only 2.5 miles from Walmart which will put you on the parkway close to many restaurants, the Five Oaks Tanger Outlets, craft shops, dinner theaters and much more.
We purchased in January 2019 and have worked on it all year. Upon entering the cabin you will experience the open floor plan that leads to 5 levels. The great room is warm and inviting for the whole family with a fire place. It has 3 full size leather sofas, vibrating chair and several stools for extra seating. There is a 65" Smart TV with cable and DVD player for the lazy days staying in. We also have a radio with a record player in the great room.
Our full size kitchen is very well stocked for meals. There is a microwave, toaster, blender, chopper and coffee maker(drip and k-cup style). We have 2 full size refrigerators to hold enough food for your group. A large assortment of pans for any size meal. We really though of you when we were adding to the kitchen, because we have a large family and have stayed at many rentals in the past. The kitchen has 3 seats in it and the dining room will seat 6-8 people.
You will go up 3 steps to enter the master suite with a king bed and sliding door to a private deck. It also have a TV with Roku. The master bath has a stand up shower and 2 sinks, his & hers and walk in closet that is shared with the Queen bunk room. They have pella sliding doors that separate the rooms. The Queen bunk bed room also has a sleeper sofa.
There are 2 king bedrooms upstairs with a full bath to share. Both bedrooms have TVs with Rokus
There are fans in all the bedrooms and sound machines in some for those that like sound to sleep by.
Game room is down 3 steps from the entrance with Air Hockey table, arcade game and queen sleeper sofa and 2 TVs with Rokus.
This cabin was built by a special couple in the 70's and now we have it. It was shared by family & friends with love, meals, laughter and lots of coffee we hope to share that love with many also. It is the perfect escape for quiet, peaceful and serenity days. There are no steep hills or winding road to access our cabin. All roads are paved. This cabin has lots of parking space either around back, in the front and also a trailer pull in.
We expect our quests to be respectful of our cabin. We know accidents happen, so please if something is broken, please let us know ASAP. There is carpet spot cleaner under the kitchen sink if a spill happens. Not all damages are accidents and guests will be charged if repairs or damages do occur to the property or the contents.
We expect guests to replace furniture to it rightful place if any furniture is moved. There will be an extra fee if our cleaning staff has to move furniture.
Whatever your Smoky Mountain vacation plans may be we know you will enjoy your stay at our "no smoking" and "no pet" cabin. The "Bird's Nest" can accommodate 10 adults(12 total with children, 17 and younger including small children and infants). There is a high chair & also pack/n/play in the laundry room if needed. You must be at least 25 years of age to rent.

The house had lots of space and lots of amenities. It has a very dated décor with cut up spaces such as bedrooms that can only be accessed through sliding glass doors from other bedrooms and even a small bedroom space that is accessible through a closet. The house was very clean but could use some upkeep on the deck and loose railing going up to the front door. The location was great and lots of parking. If your looking for a walk through the 70s this is for you.

House was perfect for the 11 of us. Was the perfect location to be close to everything yet out of the hussle and bussle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Our family enjoyed our Thanksgiving Rendezvous (November 2023) at the Bird's Nest. The house was decorated for Christmas very nicely and we felt so at home! Our 4 grandchildren (ages 4-8) certainly enjoyed the game room and spending time with their cousins! This house is in a nice neighborhood, but you don't feel like you are too close to them to enjoy a quiet outdoor walk on the property! A burn ban was in effect when we were there and did not get to enjoy the fire pit - maybe next time! Another plus was 3 king sized beds in 3 of the 4 bedrooms available for guests - not just in the master bedroom. We loved the "story" behind how The Bird's Nest was acquired and used as a mountain get-a-way.

This property was even better than we expected. We loved it here and would definitely stay again. We had a minor issue with the code getting into the house and the hostess fixed it quickly and efficiently. There was plenty of room for our large family and super close to Dollywood park just as we hoped. Thank you for the great stay!

There was 9 of us and we all had plenty of space! The photos do the house no justice! It is huge and beautiful!! The location was beautiful! Trees every where like in the country but 2 minutes from town! The host was great to communicate with! It had everything we needed there! My only suggestion would be have more towls!

The property was as described and shown online. Clean roomy and secluded. Beds were very comfortable the place was clean and Debbie did a great job at answering our questions promptly. Gatlinburg and pigeon forge were a few short miles away. If we head back to the area I would stay there again!

House had a 1970’s vibe with all the modern day comforts. Loved it very much. Very well cared for and stocked.

The cabin & location were beautiful. However, a clogged drain related to the food disposal created a terrible odor and was disgusting. Even though it was reported immediately upon arrival, it was never fixed during our entire 7-day stay.. This was very disappointing. It is a shame to have such a lovely cabin and not be able to maintain the simplest of maintenance issues. Had it not been for this, I would have given a 5Star rating without hesitation.

The Birds Nest was a great getaway for our family. We had plenty of space for the 10 of us. Easy access and a quick trip into town. House has what we needed & some extras. Kids (and adults) enjoyed many rounds of air hockey & video games in the evenings. Owner was very helpful & responded immediately when we needed her.

We had an amazing week with friends and family! Will definitely stay at this property again. It was absolutely beautiful and the surroundings were breathtaking. We were also so close to everything that it was nice for people to go and do separate things as well and not drive great distances to get there. Thank you again!

This was the perfect home base for our family with 3 young boys during our trip to Pigeon Forge! The house is very well kept and had plenty of supplies. Our kids loved the game room, and we loved that out kept them occupied so we could sleep in! We had a little trouble getting in at first, but the owner answered my call immediately and was able to get us in right away. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at the Bird's Nest. We loved the retro feel of the cabin. The master suite with attached bunk bed room was perfect for us and our kids, while the grandparents were able to have some privacy in the upstairs bedrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit and game room. We had to contact the property manager about something and she was extremely helpful and kind. This property was very conveniently located- it offered privacy as well as easy access to restaurants and attractions. We were able to really kick back and relax here. Thanks, Debbie!

4 Generation Thanksgiving
What a perfect place for our family to stay! We loved the outdoor space as much as the home! Private and great places to “explore” with the grandkids. Plenty to do inside with a fabulous game room! Super comfortable beds and Debbie was very quick to communicate and take care of all our needs! Would love to stay here again!

Quiet stay in Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg
House was set back off the main roads and nice and quiet. House had all the amenities you will need for a week. We enjoyed our stay. The outdoor portion was hard to use. The fear of damaging carpet makes you walk around to the front door. Almost would benefit from tile or wood at those entry ways. I would rent again if I was traveling that way again.

Wonderful stay!
We enjoyed staying at the birds nest and would consider staying again! The drive to get there was easy, great location, loved having the privacy of the property too. The house itself is very unique and interesting! We definitely enjoyed watching the birds come to the back porch every day. Owner was easy to communicate with.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Girls Trip - Would Stay Again
This house is nestled in a wooded area and was perfect for the Girls Weekend (10 of us). We came from IL, AZ, FL, and CA. The kitchen has everything you need to cook tasty meals. The house has a bit of a mid century decor and the fall decoration was the perfect touch and made the house feel very homey. Had no problem communicating with Debbie the owner. It is just a quick drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would stay again and will recommend the Bird Nest.

Happy overall, some minor inconveniences.
We would stay again & do recommend. We'd probably give our week-long stay a 7 or 8 overall. There were some minor inconveniences that could be improved upon to make it a 9 or 10. In fairness, the owner did advise our party prior to arrival that there was an issue with the front door lock, and an issue with the dishwasher. As a result, we washed our own dishes the full week, and each time we left the property, the last person had to lock the front door from the inside & go out the side door last. So again, just minor inconveniences. We also learned ourselves that the grill outside wouldnt ignite, but when we saw the condition it was in & how dirty it was, we decided not to use a match or lighter to manually light it anyway. There are also only a couple trash bins outside & we found that with the trash service pickup on Thursdays, there were full cans of trash left from the prior guests & during our week we had to just stack on top of theirs without being able to close the lids, so as a result critters got into the trash multiple nights causing us to have to do some clean-up. The only cleanliness issue we saw inside was some dirt accumulation under & behind the pull-out sofa in the game room. Outside however, the yard was pretty full of fallen branches & there were leaves all over the roof. These somewhat minor things can all be corrected with some attention & every communication we had with the owner was very cordial & productive, so we have no doubt they will be. Again, hate to focus on just the negatives, overall we had a great time & would stay here again. We enjoyed the retro feel of the cabin, the size was perfect for our party of 10, and the location in a quiet neighborhood away from most of the traffic, yet close enough the get anywhere in just a few minutes, was exactly what we'd hoped for.

Traveling from 8.5 hours away I received a call from the owner, to let me know that she was having some issues. I didn't think it would be a big deal as we were running early and took the kids to a local farm. When we were done we went to the house and the owner still wasn't ready. We didn't get into the house until close to 8pm. All the kids got ate up with mosquitoes because we couldn't really be in the house due to the owner cleaning. The house is dated inside and still needs a lot to bring it up to date. There is no room for storing groceries in the kitchen apart from one cabinet as everything is full of stuff. There is a mix in decor that just really didn't go at all. Normally with a mountain home you get that kind of feel, you know, mountain scenes and bears and such. There were birds everywhere, religious sayings mixed in with some modern decor. This house did not feel like a rental at all, it felt like someones home who was letting us use the house for a week, not like a VRBO home at all. To top it off, the owner kept texting me on vacation. I guess she was being friendly, but really not used to that and really don't know this person. Typically with a VRBO we come in, do our thing, leave and don't hear off anyone unless WE have an issue.. We were out and about and it felt like she was checking up on us to make sure we weren't trashing the house. Which we did not. The dishwasher was hit or miss in terms of if it worked or not. No blinds in one of the rooms and the back bedroom upstairs over the master, really squeaky floor. Master bathroom the shower faucet is super sensitive and you can scold yourself with a slight touch. Definitely watch your kids if they are in there. Only one key for 10 people (2 families) which was a bit of a nightmare as we weren't always together.House wasn't really as clean as it should have been, saw some cobwebs in various rooms. My husband was itching to pick up all the sticks in the yard, that hadn't been touched since the new owners bought it. We typically do that at home and burn them , he likes a clean yard. The house is in a neighborhood, not ideally situated but you feel like you are in a neighborhood not the mountains. We really just used this home as a base but these were the things that were noted with us all. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at your home. We appreciate it.

Great house for multiple families
The house was great! Very open and some very cool features. The house has been well maintained and felt clean. Loved a lot of the elements that were maintained from when it was built. Very unique. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of places to sit and eat. Only real complaints were some burned out light bulbs, but understand they are high and difficult to get to. Had a great stay and would consider staying again if we visit the area.

The beautiful ‘Bird’s Nest’!
We found this gem of a property and booked it right away for our family getaway this year. Debbie was very helpful in getting our questions answered and available for any help. The moment we arrived, it was a breath of fresh air, beautiful property surrounded by birds chirping, trees where you appreciate the nature. The home was beautiful, well maintained and every detail thought of to accommodate guests. We had 3 king size beds, a queen bunk bed top and bottom and a double sofa bed - all of which we used. The game room with a pool table and arcade was a plus. Our boys learned to play pool. We appreciate the effort put into maintenance and accommodation. Will definitely come back next time we’re around.
