A great place to stay for a week if you’re in Midigama and on a budget.

The location was excellent, just across the road from lazy left surf break and a few minutes walk (right or left) to different restaurants and cafes. The staff were really friendly and the room we had was Spacious. The owner cooked us a big breakfast each morning we needed it and helped us organise a scooter for the days we were here.

The shower pressure was non existent.

Sauber, freundliche Besitzer, viele Pflanzen, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück, Besen und Wasserschaber im Zimmer (sehr praktisch wenn man Sand vom Strand mithineinbringt!)

Das Personal war nett. Check in und aus waren unkompliziert

Warum habt das Hotel so mega gute Bewertungen? Vor ein paar Jahren war es vielleicht noch gut, aber jetzt sieht es so aus, als wäre schon lange nichts mehr passiert und es ist eher abgerockt.

Great location and rooms.

Rooms are big clean and spacious. A good spot if you want to surf. The owner was really great and helped us with recommendations, and even dropped us to our next stay.

Great location, so close to the beach. Lovely comfortable and very cool and spacious rooms. Great kitchen and area to eat.

best stay in Sri Lanka!

We came back here twice on our Sri Lanka trip because it is soo beautiful. Starting with the super comfortable bed (you probably won't find a more comfortable one in Sri Lanka). It‘s also a very large and clean room! We loved watching the sunset on the roof terrace and the breakfast in the morning was so bombastic that we looked forward to it every morning! Overall we really enjoyed our stay at South Sea Villa and will definitely be back! Greetings to Nipun and his wife :)

This is not the first time I've returned to the south sea villa, because for me this is the second home! The location is wonderful, near the ocean and a secret beach, a surf spot and a lot of cafes. The hotel itself is always very clean, rooms with pleasant renovation, wonderful breakfasts every day, there is hot water, good Internet, and on the roof you can meet the best sunsets and sunrises. Nipun (the manager of guesthouse) is wonderful, always there and ready to help with any questions. I highly recommend south sea villa for living, because there is a special atmosphere here ✨

I didn't like the fact that my stay in Sri Lanka ended very quickly 😅

amazing owner, great location

Nipon, the owner, is an amazing human being. He even cooked vegan breakfast (rice and curry) for me everyday which I highly appreciate. He loves to cook and learn new recipes. When I saw how his eyes glowed up talking about safari trips, I knew we had to book a tour with him. Next time a proper one and not on short notice. He is trustworthy and creates a very nice atmosphere in the guesthouse.

Excellent 3 nights peaceful stay

The owner is a really friendly along with his in-laws who greeted me. I had an excellent few nights stay which was calm and hassle free with an immaculate room with icy A/C. When I'm in the area again I will definitely stay here. They also have a friendly dog called Gupta who likes to eat Sand.

Nicest owner we have met during our time in Sri Lanka! Breakfast was super delicious and it was nice that we could buy beer at the hotel. Would definitely reccomend while staying in Midigama.
