It was easy to find, instructions for check in were very clear and owners responded promptly to any queries. The kitchen had the basic necessities to cook breakfast and the fridge was big. It was bigger than I had expected.
This is a place that welcomes pets. This is clearly stated. Having said that, despite it being really very clean, there is a smell of dog and cat in the room downstairs. I guess this cannot be avoided. So if you have any kind of dog or cat allergy, this is not the place for you.

Very nice room in the home. Luckily we were the only guests in the 3-room home. The doors of the rooms are thin and would have been noisy & lacked privacy if there were other guests. Stairs to my room were very steep & would be a problem for anyone with any mobility limits. The shower was shared & is upstairs also. The rooms & bathroom & kitchen were modern & very clean. The bedding was new/clean. The kitchen had a refrigerator & was modern & well equipped for basic needs. My 4-person room had Japanese futon mattresses & was very small. House was nice but not as nice as the photos and the deck outside needed repair. The ferry boat ran often & was easy. Fantastic beautiful island.

The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet however, there are limited options to dine on the island & things close early, as the island caters mainly to day tourists.

No one at the inn, no telephone number for support

Great location and nice common space.
This place is nice but has a slight smell of dog. It would be very helpful to have some written instructions on how to work the appliances, lights, and temperature control. We were unable to turn off a bright light in the stairwell or turn on some heat in the morning when it was chilly. the owner was responsive, but would not consider allowing us to store our luggage in the unlocked courtyard to the house while they were cleaning for the next guest so that we could tour some of the island, so we had to cut our visit short. For the price we paid I would have hoped for a little more flexibility.

very lovely house, clean and nicely decorated. comfortable futons, great location on the island. we could hear the deer walk through the street and their chirping
the doors were very loud so when the family next to us was in and out of the room late into the night, we could hear it every time in our room. the room was quite small so the only just fit the futons when 4 people slept in it, we had to upend the table to fit
the light of the ryokan across the way lit the room very brightly until late at night

The check in was easy, the house was modern and very clean. I love how they were pet friendly and had extra pet supplies. The house was a little bit of a walk away from the ferry but still in a good central location close to food options. It was close to the aquarium.
It was about a 15-20 minute walk from the ferry so I would not pack a lot.
