Beautiful, cosy, peaceful and clean cottage. Absolutely loved our stay which was extremely special as it included a marriage proposal.
Loved the Bose sound system. Great to have lovely walks on the doorstep and to walk to Dyrham Park.
Fabulous Sunday roast at The Bull at Hinton.
A little sofa instead of the 2 armchairs would have made it even more cosy.
4.5
Good quality work on conversion of cottage. Location close to Dyrham Park. Walk-in shower.
Everything is designed around the lack of space in the cottage so there is some compromise on facilities and comfort e.g. small, low chairs in living room.
4.5
Compact, bijou with all you needed for a lovely stay in a pretty peaceful setting with two great outside seating areas perfect to eat Al fresco.
Ideal setting for super walks along the Cotswold Way and visiting Dyrham Park NT amongst others not far away with great road connections and pubs nearby serving excellent food.
Like others have mentioned, the kitchen sink is tiny but perfectly adequate for shorter stays although a larger sink is available outside in one of the outbuildings.

Once I actually found the property key collection details were very clear

It was in an ideal setting and location and was very quite. Lovely garden but unfortunately the weather was not on our side
Not really anything we didn’t like but it is small so short stays are perfect.

It was self catering but were provided with milk, cereal, jam and croissants. Also plenty of ground coffee and tea bags This was very nice, especially the croissants .
The kitchen was very fancy but not very practical. Struggled to get to grips with the touch screen hob.

Unique and compact but really well presented - lot of thought went into the design and features of this listed property.
Shady patio area as well as sun trap and loungers on raised garden area at back. Quiet location and 5 minute wlk to Dyrham Park National Trust. Lovely walks nearby.
Realise the difficulty but wifi would be a bonus.

Lovely breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Everything immaculately clean.
Very difficult to get taxi to get to start of walk.

cold with no heating. we opened the door in the morning in January to let the heat in.

it was a quaint little building in a heritage park, very beautiful grounds, everything one needs for a stay in the countryside. the property had all the mod cons too, it was warm and an extremely comfortable bed. the guest book was so detailed with instructions and they had put local walls and maps to follow. I was extremely impressed and will definitely be returning.
I’m being really picky now but the wall lights and the mirror above the fire surround in the bedroom were awful and the two arm chairs in the living room could have been a little more comfortable but other than that it was perfect.

Such a beautiful little place. The log fire was a big highlight as was the music system. Even the guest book was special and so well written. Everything thought about. So in love with this place would love to be able to go back again. Was so lovely and warm and space has been so well used ♡
The price means for myself it's a once in a life time place 😌 the sinks are small and although there is an outside sink , autumn/winter means that's less usable. The lack of WiFi isn't ideal. (Just need a good mobile data pack :) )

lovely and clean with nice unexpected extras. for example breakfast
no bad points just could have done with a full length mirror

Beautiful, quaint, quiet and cozy cottage in a tiny hamlet. Perfect for 2 adults. Very clean with modern conveniences yet it still has a historical ambiance. Bed is amazingly comfortable! Instructions and recommendations for dining are well documented. Enjoyed hiking around the area...and appreciated the breakfast items provided. The owner stayed in touch and ensured all was well. So glad we chose this property. Highly recommend!!
Wish our stay would have been longer.

The accomodation is incredibly well appointed. Cleverly thought out.
Beautiful setting. Extremely comfortable.
If I had to think of anything then the arm chairs were a little snug but I do have a rather ample bottom!
There was nothing one could not like except our stay was too short.

Friendly host, great location
Sofa - it’s a couples retreat, but no sofa and just two armchairs?
Sink - the world’s smallest sink isn’t really fit for purpose
Otherwise lovely

Cleanliness, comfort, welcome extras. Private gardens.
Nothing

The lodge was nice and cool (especially on the hot days).
The area is generally really quiet; just what I was looking for.
The separate fridge-freezer was really handy.
I could get decent 4G internet tethering with my phone near the bedroom window.
Nothing really.

The lodge had everything we needed for our stay. We only cooked a few small things. Whilst the equipment was excellent the kitchen space was bijou......however.... we never planned to spend our break in the kitchen! The outside extra storage space and sitting areas were well positioned. Lots to visit in the area. Really handy for Bath and Badminton. Would certainly return.
This is a small space. It was perfect for us but if you are someone who brings a lot of clutter beware!!
We think this lodge was perfectly proportioned for the two of us. All furniture, tools and facilities perfect.

The peace and quiet.

Location is superb. Very quiet and feels very private. Lodge is super hi-tec but still retains its cosy/quaint/period feel.
Great for walking and nature - we had owls and woodpeckers - right on the doorstep. Plus good star-gazing as little light pollution.
Very happy with our stay!

A very comfortable stay in a brilliant location. Lots of local walks and pubs close by. Everything inside the property was clean and tidy and thanks to the fire we were never cold.
Couldn’t find a toaster but not the end of the world as the staff provided pastry’s.
