Lost Loon is the perfect retreat for a family gathering. We had three generations gather for a week together and we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy together. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces as much indoors. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need to relax and entertain.

This was the most accurate description (in photos and words) of a home I’ve ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, and we couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and high-quality everything in the home was. The decor, furniture, kitchen-ware, carpets and linens…all of it was top of the line. Communication and check-in was a breeze.
One thing that isn’t always common in lake houses, is that the walkway down to the pier was easy to navigate. My parents were with us and are in their late 60s, they made the trip up and down several times a day. The steps are wide and gently sloping, and the pier was sturdy. We were so grateful for that!
The lake is peaceful, we enjoyed fishing and boating and watching all the wildlife - the eagles that make their home there were majestic to see every day!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the only bad part was when we had to pack up and leave.

Loved our time at this cabin on Lost Land Lake! Beautiful roomy home with nice size sunroom where we enjoyed our coffee and played cards at the table. Kids loved fishing off the dock every day. Had s’mores around fire pit with plenty of firewood provided. Rented a pontoon very close by which was so handy. It was a very fun week enjoyed by all!

We have used VRBO for many years and we have never stayed at a more perfect place! I can’t think of anything we needed that wasn’t provided? Thank you Jacobson family for a truly memorable week!

The hosts of this beautiful property were available immediately if we had any questions. They even texted us to see if everything was going alright! The house looks just like it does on VRBO website. We went boating and kayaking and fished off the pier because of the 4 grandkids. Fishing was better last week in the early morning. Made a lot of family memories. Loved it!

Fabulous house on beautiful quiet lake
We returned to this fabulous home for the second year in a row for a family get-together. The home is stunning and the lake absolutely beautiful. The house is beautifully maintained and the hosts are great- very helpful and welcoming.
We spent a lot of time on the lake (fishing, kayaking, etc), saw lots of wildlife, had big family dinners, and relaxed together. We hope to return to this magical place next year!

Winter Wonderland ❄️
Had an amazing time with family and friends during the holidays in this cabin. Kids and adults enjoyed spending time outdoors on the frozen lake and playing in the snow. Cabin was spotless and more beautiful than the pictures. Decorated beautifully with lots of attention to details. Very spacious for our group of 10. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and more to prepare endless meals. Beds were very comfortable. Communication with owners was easy and quick responses from start to finish. Heavy snow fell one day and the driveway was plowed in a timely manner. I would definitely rent this property again.

Great Stay Lost Land Lake!
Very very impressive! We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this was top of the line! The property is a bit out of the way, but once you are there, it is fantastic. This is one of the few quiet lakes in the state, and while we did not choose the the property for this reason, we really appreciated it after the fact. Also very nice to be able to boat to dinner at Lost Land Lake Lodge. I’d highly recommend.

Fabulous!
Wow! What a beautiful and wonderful place to spend time with our family. The home was gorgeous and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for us to really spread out and enjoy different activities. The little guys, age 3 and 6, loved fishing off the dock! They caught as many as they threw the hook over. Some were small, some were average, but they didn't care! We loved the outside fire pit and enjoyed lots of s'mores! Thank you for offering such a beautiful home and grounds for our enjoyment! Our trip was FABULOUS!

Beautiful Getaway
We very much enjoyed our stay at Mike & Ann’s beautiful home. There were 8 adults and multiple teens in and out all week, and it was plenty spacious for all of us. So nice to have plentiful bathrooms and showers for all. We especially enjoyed the 4 seasons room for playing board games and reading. The kitchen had lots of appliances and tools for cooking. Lost Land Lake was beautiful and we enjoyed using the pier. It was so quiet except for the sound of the loons! :) We enjoyed kayaking and also rented a pontoon boat which made our last couple days special. We enjoyed the fire pit and we had just enough room for our badminton set in the yard. Hayward is about 40 minutes away and has lots to do. Highly recommend staying here for a beautiful and comfortable vacation.

Great Lakehouse
The property is first class in every way. It is by far the nicest property that my family has stayed in over the last 50 years of vacationing in Northern Wisconsin.

Perfect,Tranquil getaway
We were looking for a quiet place to enjoy some quality time together and we found it. Different than other reviewers, we opted to stay during Winter Break. So, our experience was different with regards to the activities we did, but nonetheless it was an amazing time. The drive up to the house with the snow covered trees was beautiful and serene. The house was exactly as described, but in our opinion even better. As soon as you walk in, you saw all the small touches that made the interior cozy and comfortable. The lighting was also perfect for those evenings watching the sunset over the frozen lake. We brought groceries with us for the week and had the best time cooking in the kitchen. The open space was perfect for watching the fireplace, listening to the music through the house on the speakers and having a nice glass of wine while cooking. We spent time playing games in the sunroom and that was also fun to watch the ice fishing and snowmobiles from the windows. The couches in the TV room were so soft and perfect for watching football and movies. It was just the 2 of us, so it felt like so massive for us, but we envision bringing all of our kids next time as it has amazing space for a lot more family . Overall, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy tranquility. We will definitely be back again!

Look no further! This is the cabin you want to stay at!
This cabin is even more upscale and charming in real. Everything we needed was provided, from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and even nightlights. No details were overlooked and no expense was spared to ensure our comfort. The lake views from the cabin were amazing and the lake was perfect for swimming, kayaking and canoeing.

Peaceful Northwoods Getaway
We loved our week on Lost Land Lake. The owners, Mike and Ann, were helpful and responsive to questions before and during our stay. The location was very private, quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous lake view that we are already missing now that we are back home. The newly remodeled home was beautiful. The spacious kitchen easily accommodated our large group and had ample pots, pans, plates, etc. We also appreciated the separate ice maker and extra refrigerator. Our family spent a lot of time fishing out on Lost Land and Teal Lakes. We brought our own boat. There is a public boat launch not far from the house, and the house has a private dock with electric running to it to charge the boat battery. We really enjoyed using the available kayaks and canoe. We also had fun sitting on the dock at night watching the stars and meteor shower. The back yard was spacious enough for outdoor family games, and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores. There are many bike paths in the Hayward area—we tried out a couple of them. We saw several deer, loons, and a majestic bald eagle that perched in a tall evergreen not far from the house every morning. One note—we did not have any cell service at the house with our provider (Verizon). We were able to use the wi-fi provided by the owners, though, and appreciated the owners leaving a T-Mobile cell phone for guest use when needed. All in all, the house was exactly what we were looking for with this extended family summer vacation and our family made many lasting memories during our week stay here.

North Woods Vacation
The house is absolutely beautiful and fully stocked with anything you may need for your stay. I highly recommend. We spent the week with family. Lost Land Lake and Teal Lake are beautiful. Kids had a blast catching fish right from the dock. We island hopped and swam at Teal Lake. Hit up the beach at Reel Livin multiple times. Took a day trip to Hayward and another to Copper Falls State Park, so much to do in the area. Mike and Ann were great answering questions and communicating. Perfect spot for a family reunion!

Wonderful Northwoods Escape!
This was our first family visit to the Northwoods. We were looking for a place to unplug and digital detox our kids.
First of all you are in great hands with the owners! Any questions or concerns were resolved immediately with a sense of care and urgency!
The home is extremely spacious and comfortable for a large group. There is plenty of space for relaxing indoors, outdoors and in the 4 seasons room for game nights.
There are 2 living areas which is great flexibility for kids to watch a movie and adults to do something else. Plenty of comfortable seating to relax after a day of outdoor activity!
The dock is very nice to fish and swim off and has a ladder. We rented a pontoon from across the lake at the Northlands lodge. They were all sold out at Wilson Bay which is a closer option.
We spend most of our days fishing and exploring the beautiful lakes while taking in the pristine nature, fresh air, and amazing wildlife.
The fire pit area is very relaxing for evening music and s'mores.
The house is very well appointed and clean. The kitchen has all the utensils and pots and pans need to prepare any type of meal. There are 2 refrigerators so you can keep food in one and beverages in the other one...very convenient since it is a hike to get to a store. There is also a gas grill to barbeque.
Everyone is super friendly and helpful!
We thoroughly enjoyed are stay and would highly recommend to our friends and family. The views are amazing and the location is super private and peaceful. It was like being in your own 5 star resort! Hope we can return again soon!

Unplug in the Northwoods
The cabin was incredibly clean and welcoming. This was our family’s first visit to the Northwoods and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet this property offered. We did rent a pontoon from Jim down the road- everyone we met was super friendly. If fishing is your interest Lost Land Lake and connecting Teal Lake do not disappoint! The kids had the most success fishing with worms- we picked those up at The Happy Hooker Bait and Grocery shop down the road. If nature is your thing we saw Bald Eagles, owls, deer, loons, beavers...so much beauty all around.

The lake is beautiful and the property has serene views with landscaped pathways to their dock.
