About this house rental
Explore Kennebunk/Kennebunkport from this classic Cape style home, recently renovated and perfect for large groups! Originally built in the 1800s, charm and character abound in this 5 bedroom/3 bathroom home that can sleep up to 13 guests.
Walk to the restaurants, cafes, and shops in Lower Village in 5 minutes or 10 minutes to Dock Square. Other highlights include the country kitchen with white cabinets and butcher block counters, cozy living room, relaxing sunroom, backyard fire pit, and outdoor hot tub.
The house is perfect for large groups and families looking for a Maine get-away! It retains all the charm and character of a classic 1800s cape style home, but with the addition of modern comforts (including air conditioning!)
A spacious primary bedroom with en suite bathroom is located over the garage, providing the perfect retreat after a busy day exploring the town. Three additional bedrooms are located upstairs with a shared full bathroom (please note that two of the bedrooms share a doorway leading to the bathroom), and a fifth bedroom and full bathroom are located on the ground floor. Five single size fold-out cots are available as extra beds.
The home's living room has a Smart TV, which can be used to stream shows through any major app, including YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu. The living room opens up to a cheerful, cozy sun room on one side and a dining room that seats 8 guests on the other. Evenings can be spent grilling and relaxing on the back deck or around the fire pit. Enjoy year-round use of the outdoor hot tub as well!
Please note: as the home was originally built almost 200 years ago, it retains some unique characteristics of the time period. For example, the 3 upstairs bedrooms have ceilings lower than you would find in a modern home, doorways may be uniquely shaped or smaller than usual, etc. We find that these quirks make the home special, and hope you find enjoy your stay in this small piece of Kennebunk history!
Security cameras are located on the exterior of the property and noise monitoring devices (only measures the level of sound, not able to record conversations) are located on the exterior of the property as well.

Our group of 12 consisted mostly of couples who don't get to see each other much, and this place was perfect for our little reunion. Easy walk to SO MUCH at Dock Square. Mike's All Day Breakfast two doors down. And when we missed "beach day" because high tide was already in we turned it into yard day and had a blast in the yard, lounging, playing frisbee, and then using the fire pit. The living room is spacious enough to all gather, and as soon as that temp dropped to 60º or below you KNOW we were in that (well-maintained) hot tub.
Also, good luck beating our high score in Pac-Man.

Family traveled from Oregon to experience beautiful coastline and good food. We recommend Mabel's for the best lobster rolls EVER! The house is located within an easy walk to great shopping and charming community. French bakery on walk to town has delicious croissants and coffee.

We used this home for preparing for my daughter’s wedding. Throughout the stay we had multiple people in and out. Plenty of parking. The house was perfect for our needs. No one was overcrowded. Plenty of rooms for different groups of people to sit and talk without bothering other people in the house.
It was well stocked with everything you could think of. Clean and comfortable. Location was great. Plenty of parking.
I would definitely recommend and use it again.

House is great. Very well appointed with lots of details. Pac-Man and MK old school arcades were a big hit, as was the fire pit and sitting area in the back. All rooms have individual AC units, so easy for each to set up to their liking. Location can’t be beat - far enough from dock square that you’re outside of the heavy traffic, but easy 10 minute walk - absolutely perfect location.

Kennebunk Cape was perfect for our stay during the Christmas Prelude. Very convenient to almost every event as you are in walking distance to Dock Square and Rt 35. The home was very spacious and clean. The bedrooms were exactly fitting to our needs with extra blankets and pillows available. Very charming old home with lots of room for all. Yes, the stairs were steep to the 3 beds upstairs but no problem for our 4 and 6 yr old. I can see maybe a problem for young toddler. Fire pit was very private with firewood provided. Michael was quick to respond throughout the process. The best place to stay in Kennebunk!

This house was really not a good place for our family to stay, and we ended up leaving two nights early. We had three adults and two children (3.5 and 1.5) at the house.
First, the good:
* Location is great and you can walk to shops and restaurants
* The property owner is very responsive to any questions
* If you need a lot of beds, this house can work for you
* The kitchen was actually decent (although it's a weird mix of the pots/pans/utensils that are available)
The bad:
* The house overall is uncomfortable. Think very bare rooms with no rugs, uncomfortable beds, limited lighting. Not inviting or a place you want to spend any time in
* This is not a good family house. There is an extremely steep staircase to a few upstairs bedrooms. In my opinion it's actually pretty dangerous for kids or older adults
* The house was also missing things it should have had and was not as clean as it should have been. Floors were dirty, WiFi didn't work in master bedroom, there were cigarette butts outside, no firewood for the firepit, not enough towels, grill very dirty, front door had overgrown bushes (to name a few).
Essentially, there was zero effort put into making this house inviting and a comfortable place to stay. If all you are solving for are physical beds and location, then this house works for you. If you think you'll spend any time in the home and are visiting as a family, I'd look elsewhere.

We had a family of seven there for five nights. Excellent location as you can walk into town very easily. Plenty of room. Quaint old house. Nice fire pit in the back. It was missing a few things for the property that charged as much as we paid over a busy holiday period. It was lacking the coffee, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc The most properties of this cost range include. However, you are literally 150 yards from a quaint grocery store that carries everything like that so not really a problem. Very easy check in process. The interior was clean. The exterior needed some yard maintenance but not bad and it didn’t influence our stay. This is a great property for three couples as it gives you plenty of room inside.

We had an incredible stay here. Michael was extremely responsive and accommodating with every question/request. The location of the house is unbeatable - we were walking distance to town but it was very quiet at that house every night (we stayed for a weekend in June). We were a group of 8 away for a ladies weekend and were all very happy with our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice getaway to Kennebunkport!

We had a very short stay at this location.
Home was very clean and accommodating.
I love that there's a diner next door to the house for affordable food.
The only thing I believe they lack of is pots and pan, not enough for a family that would stay longer unless they would eat out everyday. but besides that we really liked the rental.
Thanks Michael for being very attentive and very quick at responding to my messages.

My husband & I, along with our 2 dogs, rented this house for a fall trip. The house was bigger than needed for us but we loved the charm. It was a great space, quiet, and was an easy walk into town. Michael was a very attentive host. Would definitely stay here again.

Odd layout of house but good
Location. Sharing of driveway sometimes an issue also.

We need a place to stay with our extended family of 13 for a wedding, and this home fitted our needs wonderfully. It’s only a block away from the shops and restaurants of Kennebunkport, no car is needed. The numerous beaches of the area are also close by and the owner provides a parking pass. There is plenty of beds, large assembly rooms, a nice kitchen, and good air conditioning. Our two dogs were also welcomed, with a fenced in area to play. We also used the fire pit, to savor the evening.
Overall a great place to enjoy the Kennebunk area with a large group.

This property was absolutely perfect for our group. It was close to many beaches and Dock Square. The house was so comfortable and spacious. It was a very HOT weekend and the AC was amazing! We had a party of 12 and lots of showers and never ran out of hot water. The outside fire pit area was so much fun. The Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire place were the most comfortable Adirondack chairs I’ve ever sat in. We would definitely rent again. The owner was so responsive. Great property for big families and friends!

Perfect spot- accommodating for all ages
This gem of a house is located seconds from the downtown hustle and bustle, and just a 2 minute drive to beautiful beaches. Mother’s Beach in Kennebunk was perfect for our 3 kids under the age of 5. There was ample space for our group of 6 adults and 3 kids to sprawl. The kitchen was well appointed and the house was equipped with everything we need. Michael was easy to reach during our stay. A perfect family getaway!

Maine Family Trip
We were very pleased with our selection of this home. It was roomy, charming and quirky. It allowed our three families to each have their own bedrooms and bathroom. And several common areas gave space to different groups.
The location was incredible. Within walking distance to Kennebunkport and the shops and restaurants. Not to mention a breakfast restaurant right next door.
The house was very clean and adequately equippped. We certainly give it a 5 Star Rating!!

Great location for a stay in Kennebunk or Kennebunkport.
The house was perfect for our needs. We had a group of 5 adults and a toddler. The stairs may be an issue for younger children or older adults, but it worked for us. We did not spend a lot of time at the house because we were trying to get a lot of things done while visiting from West Texas. It was very close to a few restaurants and easily within walking distance of Dock Square in Kennebunkport.

Awesome house for family/friends reunion!
This house was amazing!!!….Spacious, nice kitchen, great yard with outdoor fire pit; close to town, pubs, restaurants, stores (you can walk!) And a beautiful home to enjoy a special birthday with family!

Great location with lots of room to spread out.
Loved the fact that the bedrooms are not all clustered together. Some are in different parts of the home allowing for privacy and quiet for those wanting it. And the first floor bedroom was appreciated. Narrow spiral stairs to the upstairs bedrooms in the older section of the home were challenging but doable. Easy 1/2 mile walk to Dock Square. We did zero cooking while there as restaurant choices were plentiful. Michael was extremely easy to deal with. Would go back again.

Fabulous location and stay!
Truly a beautiful space and easily accessible/walkable to Kennebunkport. The layout of the bedrooms are a little funky, but was ample for our family of 5. The charm of the house is unmatched. Also, not noted or shown is a very steep, twisty set of stairs in the main house leading upstairs that was thankfully easy for our toddler to navigate but families with curious, young children should be made aware, as no gates are available. When we realized the check in information wasn’t available on the app, the owner sent immediately and even communicated that prior to our arrival service would be done to replace the dish washer, which was greatly appreciated. Would happily rent again, as it truly was a gem found.

Will be back! Loved it 100%
Visiting here was a graduation gift from my partner, but unfortunately he has health conditions that led to him not being able to go. The owner was gracious about letting me adjust the original dates without penalty. Only one friend could join me so the two of us had this huge house to ourselves. The bedroom on the first floor is great for anyone with differently-abled bodies or pets—there's a ramp as part of the deck. The deck wraps around the back of the house. The fire pit is awesome—we only used it one night due to my late arrival and the 2nd night it was raining lightly. The neighboring business outdoor clothing center has the best staff —all amazingly friendly, especially LGBTQ+ –friendly, as was the entire town. Pride flags throughout the area... more prominent further south in Ogunquit and north in Portland, but we loved the smaller town of Kennebunk! Plenty of restaurants within walking distance—Mike's Breakfast is immediately next door and delicious food (on the other side of the outdoor center). Lots of hiking/biking trails nearby, all different skill levels so plan accordingly. Only note about the "5 bedrooms, sleeps 13" that I'd take into consideration when inviting friends /couples to join... the 3 smaller bedrooms upstairs have one that's in the center, only accessible from one of the other two bedrooms, and those three share the one bathroom in that part of the house. The master suite bedroom is in a different upstairs section over the garage and is BEAUTIFUL, and then the one with direct access to the deck on the first floor has a bathroom that is in-between the bedroom and kitchen with doors on both sides... Can be shared or not shared. Overall, we 😍loved ❤ this house! Although we didn't use them, large living room and dining room/table, a whole recreation room complete with games, corn hole equipment (for outside use), and air hockey table. Ready to book our next getaway for next year with hopes that more friends will be available to join us.
