About this villa rental
Villa Bella Vista is an exceptionally unique and truly beautiful estate that cannot be aptly described by words, but only experienced in person. Below is a humble attempt to summarize the villa’s characteristics.
The villa is located in the eastern Peloponnese, province of Argolida, a few kilometers west of cosmopolitan Porto Heli. The 4,000 m2 estate rests on a hill overlooking the sea, with a fantastic view of the Argolic gulf as well as the setting sun.
In the immediate surrounding area you will find several beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear waters. A little further down the road you will encounter the Cosmopolitan port of Porto Heli, where you can find everything from luxurious restaurants to traditional taverns, shops, cafés, night clubs, as well as all sorts of water-sport activities. Venturing a little further you will come across small picturesque fishing villages, neoclassical stone-wall towns, and ports which you can use for daily trips to several small Greek islands.
This Peloponnese corner apart from natural beauty, is one of the most dense provinces in terms of archaeological and historical interest, boasting the ancient ruins of Mycene, Tyrinth, and Corinth; the ancient cave of Frachthi first inhabited in 40,000BC, the beautiful castle-fort of Nafplion (Greece’s first capital city), and of course the world-renown ancient theater of Epidavros, where you can enjoy theatrical performances to this day in the summer night air. All this intertwined with marvelous coastal landscapes, beaches, hills, and lakes of extraordinary beauty.
The 450 m2 villa sits on the lush green vegetation of the beautiful & vast garden, overlooking the mesmerizing twinkling blue of the sea. The amazing gardens are perfect for slow strolls whilst enjoying the fragrance of summer flowers, or vivid hide-and-go-seek games for children -as well as adults. There is even a miniature stone theater for makeshift plays, or just lounging on the tiers.
The true uniqueness however comes when walking through the main door of villa Bella Vista. The immediately obvious artistry & creativity in every corner and detail is hard to put into words. Meticulous care & thought concerning function and especially form, has been put into everything around you. The villa owners cared not about cost and challenges when building the villa, and poured their hearts and souls into transcending their dream from mind to matter.
After passing by the stunning museum-esque stone & marble vestibule, you find the indoor dining area with a large rustic wooden dining table. Further on through the wooden beams, the large living room opens up with style and light pouring in the large windows. The glass-ceiling kitchen to the left is fully equipped and bright-as-day. Straight ahead, the patio leads to the large swimming pool & pergola/gazebo complete with bar, BBQ, and dining table. All this of course while gazing at the glistening waters of the Argolic gulf.
The bedrooms, each with its own very distinctive character, style and layout, are something out of a film. Each creates a very different atmosphere, and all have a very unique charm. The extra-large Master bedroom is privately located in the main building. The second largest bedroom stands alone near the swimming pool with its own veranda overlooking both the pool and the sea. The remaining 4 bedrooms are located in a separate building next to each other, but are far apart in personality. What they do share is wonderful views of the gardens and sea. All bedrooms have their own private bathrooms - which of course do not escape the eccentric personality makeover of the rest of the estate.
So much more can be said of this uniquely beautiful estate, but only a first-hand visit will do it justice. The one sure thing is that everyone from families to couples, explorers to loungers, children to pensioners, will be amazed when arriving, and planning to their return-trip when departing.
* Groundskeeper may reside on the premises at times, away from sight in separate quarters.
* Outdoor BBQ may be unavailable during certain periods, due to regional fire department regulations concerning fire safety

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa, particularly the spacious and beautiful outdoor grounds and swimming pool. Very nice sunsets. There was lots of room for our group to be together and have the space for alone time if needed. The amphitheater was a fun place to hear my grandson share a presentation about Greek mythology! The walk to the beach would’ve been tough given the heat and the steep roads, but was only a short drive. Our host was very available to help as needs arose. Wi-Fi is not 100% reliable, but worked most of the time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this beautiful, unique villa. The views from the gardens are exquisite; the pool is amazing — it provided hours of fun for the kids; and we had plenty of space for three families vacationing together. The rooms were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well during one of the hottest weeks yet. We also loved the amphitheater and gardens! The nearby towns of Porto Heli and Ermioni are lovely, as are the many beaches within a short drive. The owner, who lives on the property, was unobtrusive, kind, and always available to help and the property caretaker had terrific suggestions for restaurants and sites to visit. As is clear from the photos and description, the house layout is unique and the decor and kitchen appliances are not new but it was perfect for us. We hope to come back!

We spent 8 days at the villa with 19 family members from 7 yrs old to 90. From the very beginning the fantastic communication with Alex the host made it very easy to book and have all our questions answered. The villa offers so many delightful places to hang out as a group or in more intimate groups. Comfortable living room, dining room. a great kitchen to work
in (we are a family of cooks) and an awesome outdoor cooking area made our family time perfect. The views are unmatched. It’s location was perfect for beach days or exploring. Some days just hanging around the villa was the best choice. Chrysoulla was so kind and fun, she made our stay perfection. Thank you for sharing your family estate with us.

We have been renting villas for several years in Greece, and I must say this one is by far the best we have visited. It is very spacious, providing more than ample room to relax and have fun without being in each other’s way - we were a large group and really appreciated having big spaces to spend time together, but also a lot of different rooms and outdoor areas if someone wanted a quiet time with their book.
The styling and decor is beautiful and so different from other places. The entire property is very clean and well taken care of. We spent a lot of our time at the patio and swimming pool area during the day, and the BBQ and dining gazebo in the evenings. The beaches are very close, and we also made two wonderful day trips to nearby islands, Spetses and Poros, during our stay. We especially recommend visiting Spetses, just 10 minutes by sea-taxi and such a beautiful little island.
Chryssoula, the owner, was very kind and helpful, reacting swiftly to our every question and giving us brilliant tips for the area around the villa. Also thanks to Alex the manager for helping out with our trip! We will definitely be visiting again next year!

We had an amazing Easter holiday at this villa! This was our second visit and we’ve been dreaming of coming back for the last two years. The house was beautiful and uniquely decorated as we remembered it, super clean and well equipped. From our first visit, we were already in love with the special character of the villa, the vibrant colors and how practical and spacious it is. Chryssoula, the owner, is a gem as always, kind, hospitable. We also noticed she has done a lot of renovations. Not that the house needed anything but it’s a major bonus when you see the owner deeply caring for their property and the comfort of their guests!
We spent endless hours enjoying the stunning view of the bay and the comfort of the villa as the weather was wonderful. Everything was so quiet and serene and we found the peace of mind that we needed very much. Like our last visit, we made full use of the kitchen for our snacks and meals. We were thinking that we would go out more but honestly, we found no good reason to leave when we were already in the perfect place! The shops are very close by and we got to enjoy all the amazing Greek fresh produce and a mountain of delicious strawberries. Many thanks again to Alex who managed our booking so efficiently. For us it felt like going home again and we made so many new, wonderful memories. Once more, our family wholeheartedly recommends visiting!

The villa is very spacious & has a beautiful view & great sized pool which we had great fun in! We even held our own Olympic Games. As a group of 16 all over 20 yrs old we had a lot of people to include in activities & spent a lot of time playing card games. The villa is getting a little tired. It could do with some proper TLC like holders fixed to the wall in shower so you don’t have to hold it & decor like rope around the mirrors removed as it held onto the dust so wasn’t clean. Also the mosquito net in pool room was full of mosquitoes! It would be better not to have them at all & kitchen always had ants crawling on surfaces. Our bedroom did flood downstairs during a big storm too. Chysoula was very helpful & stayed up very late to meet us & supplied extra things we needed, including more sun beds which she went to purchase! The figs from the garden were delicious. If you stay here do visit the honey & bee museum as it is fantastic! Ermioni is also a beautiful place to visit, very picturesque. We stopped at Nafplio on the way back to Athens which also worth a visit. Apart from the barking dog, it was very quiet. If you’re looking for perfection then this villa is possibly not the one for you but if you’re happy with a bit of rough around the edges for a lower cost then it’s great. I have been to Greece many times but never stayed anywhere quite like this.

Amazing villa with stunning views
I had high hopes for this villa from previous reviews and the villa description and I can honestly say they were surpassed. I will tell all my friends about it and we would love to return.
The villa is spacious, beautifully, artistically and lovingly decorated and the view over the bay is simply gorgeous. The challenge was finding the time to try out relaxing in all the possible places the villa offers. We did our best and even played charades in the mini amphitheatre!
The pool is a good size, the water very clear and gentle on your skin and eyes.
Alex was super helpful, polite , efficient and answered all my questions before we arrived. Chrysoula is a delight and an excellent host. She stayed unobtrusively in her accommodation in the grounds yet was there if we needed to ask her anything. A welcome basket of provisions and water in every bedroom was a nice touch. Her knowledge of the area was so useful, helping us plan a trip by water taxi to Spetses for example.
Porto Heli, which is less than 10 minutes away by car, is a great place to find an array of bars, gelaterias and cafes, as well as a nice bakery and supermarket. Chrysoula also recommended Porto Heli's local car hire firm, Heli Cars, who were wonderful and much better value than the major operators.
On the coast road to Porto Heli there's some pretty beaches with crystal clear water and a good water ski place where our twenty-something kids had a great time learning to waterski with knowledgeable instructors in a large but sheltered inlet.
All in all a lovely holiday, just all too short.
Thank you Chrysoula for a great stay and hope to see you again.

Very nice place!
This house is fantastic. The rooms are very spacious, the kitchen nice to cook big dinners in, a lot of different places to eat or just hang out. The pool has a deep section and there´s a nice barbeque area. All in all we had a wonderful week here celebrating my mothers 75th birthday, being me and my brother and our families with children 13-19 with girlfriends. It´s well equipped and just 10 minutes from Porto Heli. Porto Heli is a quite nice village but not the geniuine Greek old kind of style. I recommend to go on a daytrip to Spetses for that. Chrysoula, the owner, lived in a secluded part of the house, we didn´t see her except for when we needed her. She is a very helpful and nice woman who has a wonderful house. Enjoy!

We loved it!!!
We had a wonderful time in this villa! It is large, comfortable, clean, with unique decorations that really set it apart from any other houses we have rented in the past.
It was actually hard to choose what to do first! The pool is amazing if you feel like lounging but we definitely recommend the nearby beach. The kids are still talking about their snorkeling adventures!
For lunch and dinner we had so many options that again it was hard to choose. The shops are close to the villa and we prepared some of our meals with local products at the very well equipped kitchen (it's gorgeous, too, if you ask me!) The rest of the time we enjoyed the restaurants and cafés of Porto Cheli. The owner Chryssoula was an absolute angel, kind and full of information. We can't thank her enough! It was a joy to see how much she loves the villa and how well she knows the area, always eager to give us tips. We felt at home immediately. Alex who managed our booking was fast, polite, efficient and gave us confidence.
Thank you for a fantastic holiday. We are already making plans to visit again!!

Slice of paradise!
Definitely recommended!!! We had the most wonderful vacation at Chryssoula's beautiful villa. This was our first vacation after such the long and stressful covid period and it was even better than we had ever hoped!
The whole family - 12 of us, as well as our 2 dogs, were very comfortable and happy the entire time. The premises are very spacious and clean, with excellent taste and decor. You can tell from every corner, and every piece of furniture & art, that this is a special home, and not just a vacation property like the rest. The bedrooms are large, each with its own unique style and colors - and its own bathroom. The kitchen is fully operational and stocked with everything we needed for our large family. The gardens are enormous and stunning, and our kids (as well as the dogs!) had so much fun running around all day.
We spent most of the days lounging around the huge swimming pool. In fact, an extra bonus of the outdoor layout of the house is that we could watch over the kids playing in the swimming pool while we could relax in the shade. We ate almost all of our meals at the large table under the pergola outside, admiring the amazing view. The beach is also very close - less than 5 minutes, with gleaming waters. Of course the villa had absolutely everything we needed so we didn't leave a lot! The shops are also 5 minutes away, and we did eat at a fish tavern on the beach where we enjoyed the lovely local, delicious, fresh food.
Chryssoula -the owner, stayed in her own room away from the main house, and was so helpful and kind whenever we needed her. We were worried that our late arrival - after 00:30 would be a problem, but she was waiting for us with a smile when we arrived, and was polite & willing to get us settled in. After leaving, we continued our holiday at Spetses Island which was literally 10 minutes away by sea taxi, and Chryssoula has been accommodating with showing us how and where to go.
Last but not least, Alex the manager was extremely helpful, quick, kind and made the booking process so easy. Despite our reservations due to Covid, Alex made us feel secure and gave us all the information we needed before arriving.
Thank you both for an unforgettable time, and we will most definitely visit again soon!
