Unterkunft mit Potential aber Verbesserungsbedarf

Das Anwesen liegt ruhig und idyllisch am Ortsrand. Oberhalb der Unterkunft befindet sich eine Wiese mit schönem Ausblick, Sitzgelegenheiten und einer Feuerstelle. Feuerholz kann preiswert in ausreichender Menge erworben werden. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Es gibt den besten hausgemachten Chacha. Im Gemeinschaftsraum im Haupthaus stehen Kaffee, Tee kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Frühstück und Abendessen wird gegen Aufpreis angeboten, haben wir aber nicht genutzt.

Unser Zimmer (deluxe Dreibettzimmer) entsprach leider überhaupt nicht der Beschreibung. Die beschriebene Ausstattung wie Waschmaschine, Küche, Kühlschrank, TV, Kaffee- und Teezubehör befinden sich nicht im Zimmer selbst, sondern im Gemeinschaftsbereich im Haupthaus. Wir hatten eingekauft und wollten Lebensmittel kühlen, der Kühlschrank im Gemeinschaftsraum war jedoch schon randvoll. Das Zimmer selbst ist sehr sehr klein, neben den drei Einzelbetten ist kaum Platz für Gepäck, wurde jedoch mit großzügigen 20qm beschrieben. Neben den Betten gab es nur zwei kleine Nachttische, keine Möglichkeit, etwas aufzuhängen, keine Haken, keine Garderobe, nichts. Das Bad selbst ist winzig und da es außerdem keine Abtrennung zur Dusche gibt, wird beim Duschen die Toilette und der gesamte Boden nass. Die Matratzen der Betten hingen leider sehr durch und verhinderten erholsamen Schlaf. Aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen und der ausführlichen, nicht zutreffenden Beschreibung der Unterkunft waren wir verständlicherweise enttäuscht. Sehr schade, da eigentlich Potential vorhanden wäre.

Unperfectly perfect

People were very nice with us, they also help us arranging the 4*4 vehicles to Usghuli and served us dinner and breakfast which were pretty good (we also asked for napkins and ended up taking breakfast with us for the day out!). They also let us use the washing machine. There is also à beautiful space above the hill where to enjoy à super view of the starring sky at night!

It is quite up the hill, so once you are there, you rather don't take your car and eat there. Also, in the summary description of the rooms it was not so évident that the double rooms would share the bathroom: you have to click individually on the room to read it. As I did à booking for 12 people I did rely on the summary which didn't mention it so we had 6 people in the morning to share the same bathroom and didn't plan for it. Though they were very nice people and offered a discount. I mean, if you don't have a problem with sharing the bathroom then yes I would recommend it as people really deserve to have guests. Such lovely people!

The place has beautiful setting and surrounding. The owners are very nice people, both dinner and breakfast super delicious and big. It is very relaxing place to stay in especially after days of hiking. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice place to relax outside Mestia

Wonderful, big garden to relax; we could do our laundry for free; breakfast and dinner were good value for money

- beautiful views from the property and great places to have bonfire - good and cheap wine

- only one shared bathroom with a toilet for 4 rooms meant infinite waiting time to get there. The whole toilet was a shower, so it was always wet there. - the hosts were nice, but the main guy who did business with us when asked about attractions or trails couldn't provide any recommendations. - our room did not have insects net and at night it was really warm there. Therefore we had a ton of bugs in the room - every visit to Mestia needed to be done by car unfortunately

Truly a gem!

Magical place. The landscapes around are stunning, the room was very comfortable, the common areas (inside and outside) are beautifully decorated and feel very cosy. The hosts were also super nice and welcoming.

I want to recommend this place. Our landlords were very friendly and Asmat cooking delicious khachapuri for breakfast. The room though very simple was very clean. After a very tiring day, you will have a campfire while listening to the sound of the calm river and watching the stars in the sky. Beautiful place) I hope to visit again

Nice and calm place to stay

The river Svaneti was the great place to start our hike from Mestia to Ushguli. We definitely recommend it. It is cosy and clean. The owner is very nice, he took us by car to the shop, because the place is in the calmer place little bit further from the centre, but OK to walk. The breakfast were amazing too. Thank you for everything

Location is fantastic, guest house located in very nice valley few km out of Mestia. No problems to reach guest house by foot, even for family with kids (if they like to walk :)).

One of the best places i have ever been to. Excellent location for Mestia, 10min walk from the center but in the middle of nature. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Great food. I will go back!

One with nature @ Svaneti

Fabulous location surrounded by nature, very caring hosts - Akiki and his mum and dad made our stay an unique experience. Akiki lit a fire in the night and we enjoyed sipping Georgian wine under the stars. Akiki's mum made lovely cheese which was super fresh and I loved it. Whilst the property was 2 kms from the Mestia town, Akiki or his dad always dropped us or picked us up for 10 Lari a ride.

the location of this property was amazing

the location was amazing beautiful scenery and a cozy location . might have been one of the best in the area.. the hosts were so kind and generous!

rooms could have been abit larger. it was too small ..we did not have breakfast as we thought it was a bit expesive for the spread they usually serve.

Best hidden memory in Georgia.

This is the place where you leave a part of your soul. Instead of a couple of days, you remain longer and hardly leave this wonderful corner of the earth. With beautiful strong people, stunning views, private access to the river and a hammock on the edge. A real Svan house where a family and animals live side by side for centuries. And a little beloved puppy. Comfortable bed, stove with fireplace in the living room where you serve your coffee or tea and taste local dishes prepared with love by your hosts. Wifi is great. Plenty of place for picnic. Leaving, I dream of returning again.

Hard to leave a genuine place like that. Almost wish to keep best hidden secret for yourself.

Beautiful nature, kind, lovely family, comfortable clean room and shared spaces.

I didn't have breakfast but I saw what some other guests were served. Wonderful with generous portions. I liked everything about my week's stay. It is located in such a beautiful peaceful mountain and river setting. And family so kind and welcoming to me. New arrival of young puppy named Toby, found along a road by the son. What a joy! Walking to Mestia was picturesque and about 20 minutes to Center. Loved it!

Help with transportation, if needed from Mestia upon arrival day.

Authentic experience' friendly people. I recommend asking for home cooked breakfast and Dinner.

.It is a small family farm' a little outside of town. The family members were very welcoming and very nice. We got the feeling of an authentic life in the country.

Beautiful nature stay

The location is picturesque. Directly next to a small river coming from the mountains, surrounded by green fields and nature. If you don’t mind the little distance to the town center of Mestia this is a real treasure! Also the home cooked meals were delicious :)

Most amazing place in mestia, definitely must visit

We had an amazing time we even extend our stay. if you stay here you will be mesmerized by great family hospitality and great property. amazing property location , river access, bonfire, farm, nature, exceptional hospitality from the host. Most amazing food we ever had was made by Nino mother. access to challenging hike that could lead to the Koruldi lakes.

Long time decision to write but difficult because it was a journey to the lost things, specially human relationships and nature. A great and humble family, self sufficient, dedicated to help others, vast and green scenery, the location extremely unique within Mestia but seems not to be. We don't have any other guesthouse experience but definitely We had one of the best. We met our family in Mestia. I wish I could say Goodbye to Mr. Roman, little Andria and her Mom. Once again many thanks to dear Soso who used to suspend his job times in order to help us. Hope to see you soon

Superb

Welcoming host family who spoke good english so we learned about local customs and exchanged ideas and views which was nice. Breakfast was great, and the guesthouse is at the start of a couple of nice hikes.

Wifi could be better and the road up in winter was difficult.
