About this villa rental
Casa las Palmas is a residence with four studios and a beautiful newly built swimming pool with an outdoor grill and palapa & top terrace. I'm from Texas and fell in love with Cozumel and want to share its beauty with the world. The studio is equipped with everything you will need to be as comfortable as your own home. Enjoy a cold drink with a pool view or just relax in the hammock. The swimming pool is very refreshing and a welcomed feature of this home. The common areas as the pool, outdoor grill and terrace, smart TV, table and chairs and outside restroom are for your convenience and are shared between the two studios on the first floor. If you would like the common areas private, you can rent both studios at the same time or rent the studio on the roof top. The pool is private to the guest. It also has a mezzanine floor which is equipped with lounge chairs. Enjoy the sun, have a cold drink and relax.
The bedroom has comfortable queen size bed, Air conditioning, smart TV with WIFI internet access. The updated kitchen offers all the necessary items you need to prepare your own meals. Some of the items you will find is microwave, toaster, blender, regular filter type coffee maker and more, juice maker, orange juice squeezer and more. There is a 5 gallon purified water jug with electric pump for your convenience. If you need additional drinking water you have to refill it.
Casa Las Palmas is conveniently located 3 blocks from Sam’s Club, Bodega Aurrera (super market) and many close by restaurants. The gas station is 5 minutes away on transversal 2 blocks from el caracol (THE BIG SNAIL).
The property has video cameras at the entrance and pool area for safety reasons. Also the property is equipped with alarm system.
Please use 451B 80 Avenida sur entre 5 y Morelos.

Great studio for those looking to a little oasis in Cozumel. The pool and outdoor area were great places to cool off during the day or cook up something on the grill.
I was remote working during my stay and only a couple internet issues typical of the network in Cozumel.
This place is outside of the touristy area, so great for a long term visit and close to Sams and 65th for shops. That said access to a car is helpful if you want to get to the beach clubs or ferry.
Overall a really nice place to make your home away from home.

Jaime was wonderful with his communication and ensuring that any “hiccups” with our stay were taken care of immediately.
The pool was consistently clean and the staff were very friendly to us always.
We used the futon couch as a pull out for my 10 year old daughter and it worked just fine for her, however it would be uncomfortable for anyone over the age of twelve as it is well worn and lumpy
We stay in Cozumel every year for 2-3 weeks and have stayed at several places on the island. Jaime and his casa have us happily wanting to book this property again next year!
Thank you Jaime, we loved our Coz “home away from home”!

The studios at Casa Las Palmas were everything we needed! Jamie met us at the gate upon arrival to show us around the property. Nice secure locks on gate, front and back doors. Also electric fence around the top of the property to give extra security. The property is about a mile from the coast in a quiet neighborhood. There are other rentals nearby but mostly locals around. Short walk to tacos, convenience stores, park.
The studio is very comfortable for 2 people. Nice pillow top queen size bed. Air conditioner works extremely fast to cool the place in minutes. Lovely downstairs patio with shared pool & waterfall with studio neighbor. As well as second story patio area (partially covered) with amazing views.
There are also beach towels, ice chests, games, a hammock, and outdoor tv under palapa was great for listening to music while lounging outside.
Highly recommend for a nice getaway. If traveling with family renting all 3 studios would be lush. Everyone would get their own privacy of a studio but all be close together + extra pool upstairs on 3rd story balcony! We will absolutely be staying with Jamie again! 10/10

This is our second time here and we look forward to coming again! We love the privacy and the pool, the outdoor barbeque, the fully stocked kitchen, the rooftop patio and the secured yard (great for when we rented a scooter!) Super close to shopping and restaurants and a 20 min walk from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Outstanding value. Look forward to additional units being available so that we can come with friends and still have our own privacy. Thanks, Jamie! Mucho Gracias!

This property was amazing, nice and cozy with a private refreshing pool. The upstairs lounge was great for morning coffee and night time drinks under the stars. In a quiet neighbourhood close to a bakery and Billy's bbq, awesome food. We totally enjoyed our two weeks and have already recomended to our friends.

Pros:
—Extremely comfortable queen bed
—Off street parking
—Walking distance to Sam’s Club/Bodega Aurrera & La Terracita, and other misc. places
—Rooftop sun deck
—Air conditioning works well
Cons:
—Toilet wouldn’t flush consistently - even if we didn’t flush toilet paper (what was recommended after we told Jaime we were having an issue)
—Leaky shower head/limited water pressure
—Mold in bathroom
—No paper towels provided, nor extra kitchen towels
—No pot holders or microwaveable bowls that didn’t get extremely hot to the touch
—Limited supply of pots/pans —e.g., no small sauce pan for 1-2 person serving, plus pans have metal handles so couldn’t use on stove without having pot holders
—Pool is primarily in the shade
—Gate to property (to pull car in) very hard to slide
The place could use some touching up. The pictures make the property look much ‘fresher’ and ‘newer’ than it truly is so immediately we were disappointed. However, for the price, knowing we would be gone most of the day diving, and because we only needed a place primarily to sleep, we decided to give it a try.
Jaime was very responsive when we reached out about the toilet not working, however, having to plunge the toilet constantly is unacceptable & not what we want to do on vacation.
We booked Casa las Palmas for 10 nights but left after 5. Would have actually checked out sooner but it took us a night or two to locate other accommodations last minute.

I absolutely loved it with the private pool and back yard area. This was all possible because the second villa was not rented therefore we did not have to share with strangers in a small area.
Absolutely loved it.

Great communication, accurate description, awesome pool. Outside of El Centro but easy access via fairly priced taxi and they have bicycles available on the property

It was a wonderful relaxing property we spent a lot of time in the private pool! We didn’t have any issues and was nice to have a washer dryer available! It was very clean the pool was well maintained and the care takers were very hospitable!

I researched high and low before deciding on Casa las Palmas, and I'm so glad I chose it!
The property itself is excellent! Shower was hot and has a great showerhead, linens clean and fluffy, bed super comfortable, TVs great (although I didn't watch much), A/C was super effective, kitchen great and a must have for me. The top deck is gorgeous and comfy, the palapa with table/sink/built in grill was shaded and relaxing, and of course the pool! The pool was wonderful! Big enough to paddle around in a bit, but it also has bench-type seating in it, which is where I often had coffee or dinner! It was great to jump in and cool off after sweating at the ruins or in town, or before heading out for the day!
The neighborhood is so awesome too. Comfortable, safe, and just wonderful to walk around at dusk (it smells lovely too; salty air, delicious food cooking. Dogs here and there, kids playing - including a budding flutist lol!). Sam's/Aurrera right down the street for groceries or anything else you may need. Friendly people everywhere, which is partly why I'm in love with Cozumel.
I traveled solo and felt very secure and welcome. Veronica was so kind and we communicated just fine despite my Spanish being poor (at best). I parked on the street and felt perfectly comfortable doing so, although you can park inside the locked gate.
Jaime communicated with me from booking to departure, and he was ridiculously helpful with all my wacky questions! Very responsive and as friendly as you can get. He's so enthusiastic about his property and everything in Coz!
Just book it! Maybe I'll see you there next year :)

We truly did not want to leave! What an amazing property at an amazing price! Jaime went above and beyond! Very good communication, he replied extremely fast and politely. The care keepers of the property are so nice, always smiling and very quiet. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back! 7 nights just wasn’t long enough for us!
The rooftop was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stars, sunset, and sunrises. The pool was a great place to cool off and relax! We would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

We really enjoyed our anniversary trip to Cozumel and our stay at Casa Las Palmas. We loved spending time in the private pool, and we really liked exploring the neighborhood by bike and foot. It was an authentic way to see Cozumel's city center, and eat where the locals eat, etc. We biked to dinner each night, and took a taxi to farther places (ie the beach; ferry terminal for a snorkel trip).

We had great accommodations. The property caretakers were amazing! They got the place ready for us last minute after a huge issue with a hotel (after 9pm). The owner is absolutely great, very attentive and active in ensuring our utmost comfort. We travel here frequently so we were very comfortable with the location. Any first timers just know that while it’s a quick trip(5min) to absolutely everything you may need or want to do it is not walking distance and may seem a bit farther away. Safe neighborhood, gated parking on site is a plus!! I highly recommend this property. We will stay here in the future for sure.

Our stay at Casa las Palmas was incredible! The house was perfect for an authentic experience in Cozumel. We loved the private pool and outdoor kitchen area. We had hummingbirds and an iguana that visited daily. The house was clean, cool, and very comfortable for the three of us. The supplies in the kitchen made it easy to prepare meals without having to buy extra spices/seasonings.
The property keepers were so very kind and helped with anything we needed. We are already making plans for next year and will definitely stay here. Jaime was amazing to work with. She always responded quickly - even when we kept having to change the dates a couple of times.
I would love to keep this place as our secret so we could come anytime we wanted. Thank you Jaime for an amazing experience! See you next summer!!

The best spot!
We had an amazing time here! The private pool and atmosphere was spot on!! We enjoyed the pool and outdoor kitchen so much! We grilled and swam and sunbathed on the rooftop! Grounds keepers were very sweet! Also the hammock was a huge plus! It was so comfortable! Also the bikes and snorkeling gear was a perfect addition! And the grocery store is just a 5 min bike ride and the baskets on the bikes made it super convenient as well! Thanks for a lovely stay! We are hoping to be back again soon!

We absolutely loved it
This property was perfect for my husband and I. We enjoyed so much about it, the pool was probably our favorite place to be but we loved the rooftop almost as must. Another great thing was having the beach cruisers, we put some serious miles on those things! After a month staying here it really did feel like home to us, and we can't wait to come back and stay again.

Home away from Home
My husband and I have booked this charming casita 2x now and will return again. We visited in December and I cannot express how much we love this VRBO. The casita has a private pool with an ourtdoor tiki hut that includes a grill, hammock, floaties, fans, outdoor bathroom and so much more. There is also an area upstairs with a purgola and a couch for watching the sunset. I would highly recommend this place.

Cozumel Fun
This property is an awesome little getaway. It has everything needed to go and just relax for a period of time. The owners have done a great job and continue to make improvements to make it even better. We will be planning another trip to stay at The Casa Las Palmas in the fall.

We loved Casa las Palmas. It was beautiful and we loved having our very own pool! Close to everything on the island and the ninos were especially precious hosts. We will miss their warm greetings

Secret haven in Cozumel
Jaime’s place is such a cute, cozy place to stay. My husband and I were here for 8 days and Casa Las Palmas provided everything we needed. The caretaker was there upon our arrival to hand over the keys and show us around. Everything was pristine clean. The caretaker Reyes and his wife Veronica speak very little English but your needs can be communicated using Google translate and it’s a good opportunity to polish up your Spanish! We didn’t use the pool because it was a little cool but warming up daily with the rising temperatures and it’s so relaxing to enjoy the backyard under the palapa. The rooftop area is also beautiful so we enjoyed drinks up there under the full moon. We rented a motorbike to get around since this place is in a neighborhood a good distance away from the hubbub of the city and shoreline. There are little stores and a supermarket not too far away. All of the kitchen utensils and pots and pans are in good shape. It’s like a little home away from home! If you need a quiet respite from everyday life, this is the place for you!

Great Stay at Casa Las Palmas
We really enjoyed our stay at this clean, private, well equipped property. The pool area was just what we needed after a day out, a great place to relax, swim and lie in the hammock. Very easy to find and within walking distance of a grocery store and restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Very nice to meet you Jaime! Thank you for sharing your property!

Wonderful Place to Stay
My wife and I spent a week and loved it. The check in was very easy and location is a short walk to the superstore Bodega. The palapa in the back yard was a great resting spot. I would rent this again for sure!

As Advertised
This house is clean, secure, and comfortable. It has everything you need, and nothing you don’t. The private pool and large upper deck are a bonus for a property this size. The on-site host and owner Jaime are most hospitable. Go!

My Home away from Home
A perfect place to stay in Cozumel in a safe neighborhood with very friendly locals.....away from the tourist traps and pushy "hawkers".
The property is outstanding and very comfortable. Full kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, sun roof....TV's X2, outside "Palapa" grill., private parking behind gated compound....( I parked on street).....but the real kicker is THE PRIVATE POOL. I love this property.
Jamie is a text or call away. and the "caretakers" Reyes and Veronica are very helpful if needed.
I cannot say enough about this property....I will be returning in April 2022. I have been coming to Cozumel since 1978.......it is a very special place to me.

Loved it
Will be back at some point in the future. Communication was great! Property is safe and super cozy with plenty of space for a lot more than only 2 people. Although I rented a Jeep to go around the island, location of the property is quite convenient to whatever you need, and plenty of taxis to go around. Bring your hdmi cable and computer if you’d like to watch some movie in English, smart tv will handle it. Other than that very happy and pleased to stay there

Not Enough Stars
I travel regularly within the US and to Cozumel. This property and it’s owners and caretakers are SUPERB! I can’t say enough nice things about Jaime. Seriously. He did absolutely everything he could to ensure that my stay was perfect. Amazing communication from beginning to end. Veronica and Reyes, the on-site property caretakers, are fabulous. They were very sympathetic to my beginner level Spanish. Although they live in the property in front of the studio, the privacy and respect you receive is impressive and appreciated. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to truly experience Mexican culture in all its beauty. Sweet breads sold on the streets, laughter from families eating dinner, locals singing as they work, local businesses right around the corner, people on the street wishing you a good day with a smile. I stayed for ten days and wish it could have been longer. I will definitely be coming back regularly. Definitely recommend!!

Great relaxing flat
Property is very much as described. It is in a typical working class neighborhood in Cozumel. It is NOT near the beach or am easy walk to beach or downtown
The pool and patio area were very inviting and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast outside every morning.
Because of the location we rented a car. There is off street parking available at the property. Do NOT park on street as it is beneath a coconut tree with falling coconuts.
Perhaps my biggest concern about the property is the pictured second floor terrace. First of all there is no view from here as the neighborhood is not that attractive. My biggest concern with it though was that the stairs going up to it have NO handrail. They are painted white and very hard to distinguish the steps going down. I almost tripped down them on the one time up there and sis NOT go up again.

Excellent value. Perfect for our needs
This far exceeded our expectations. AC in the bedroom was enough to keep the whole place cool enough. Comfy, little place with outdoor dining area and ideal little pool. Jamie was so easy to deal with. Our dive scool was a 5 minute bike ridee away. Bikes were included. Grocery stores near by.

We had a very pleasant experience staying at this property. Jamie is a great owner and is very responsive to any questions you may have. The caretakers are very nice and are very respectful of your privacy. The room is very clean and the private pool was a great addition for a late afternoon swim after a day of activities. I highly recommend renting a vehicle just for convenience, but every amenity is within 5-10 minutes of the place and 20-30 mins from all the resorts for beach days. The room does stay warmer than my taste, but we simply purchased a box fan and it made it much more tolerable. I will definitely be staying here in the future and will recommend anyone to stay here.

For the price it’s a good place to stay
My family and I stayed here and booked multiple nights. We ended up leaving after one because the rest of my family didn’t want to stay, but I was willing to. We did book the extra room, and that one had a strong sewage smell after using the shower. There was also quite a bit of an ant problem in the kitchen area. My wife was bothered by the security cameras that were in the common area. The listing does state this, but the people who help run this property live right behind these studios. These are all things to consider, though I’m sure they’re resolving the sewage smell issue. I believed the pictures to be mostly accurate regarding the property. And when you compare it to other stays in the area, I think this is a well priced alternative.

Exactly what we were looking for
Finding the place was a little difficult at first; but pretty sure that’s simply because we’re not used to the addresses in Mexico. We took a taxi from the ferry and found it after a little search but there’s a small sign near the gate “Casa Las Palmas”. After that we quickly learned to tell the driver the address was “La 80 Avenida entre 5 y Morelos” then

Great Get Away
My husband and I have been to Cozumel numerous times but always as a cruise ship stop. This was our first time to fly to the island and stay for an extended period. This was a great little place to stay, somewhat off the beaten path, but the island is small so you are still close to everything. The pool was awesome. It doesn’t get direct sunlight all day so the water temperature stays nice. Although we didn’t use it often, the terrace upstairs was a neat addition to the property. It was relaxing to sit on the lounge chairs at night.
We really enjoyed the trip and we plan to stay at this property again sometime later this year.

Thank you for an enjoyable getaway!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Las Palmas! It was so nice to be able to meet the owners prior to our stay as they were in Cozumel at the same time as we were. The location of the property is very nice, walking distance to grocery store, Sam's Club and many restaurants. We spent a lot of our time in the backyard area enjoying the pool and the lovely garden setting. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your vacation home!
