The cabin is beautiful and well-appointed, offering a fantastic view from the deck and windows. All the appliances, furniture, and fixtures worked well and were very high quality. The kitchen had everything you might need. Great cabin!
The road to the property is well-maintained, but they’re not kidding about how steep it is. You really need 4WD to get there smoothly, without tearing up the steeper sections of the gravel road. The privacy is worth it!

Amy was the most amazing host I have ever encountered with a VRBO and I VRBO quite often. I had the opportunity to run into her in person and she by far met my expectations by going over and beyond to help us. The house is absolutely beautiful with stunning views. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook. The king bed is very comfortable and cozy. The rest of the house has a great set up and the downstairs has every game you can imagine for family fun. I rented this house because I wanted to see if could be “the one” I want to build in the mountains … and it’s at the top of my list. The stars at night glow so bright while sitting in the hot tub, you feel like you are in another world. I would highly recommend not only this property, but the host as well. You won’t be disappointed.

This cabin was truly perfect for a quiet honeymoon! The views are astounding and pictures don’t do it justice. We spent most of our time at the cabin because there was so much to do and so much room to relax and enjoy the mountains. We enjoyed all the games in the basement and the porch is set up perfect for grilling and hanging out. The last few days of our stay we could hear visitors outside the cabin next door pretty loudly but that isn’t the owners fault, and probably largely depends on who is staying there. Overall it felt very secluded and quiet!
The town itself is very fun to visit, and we went to dinner a few times and walked around the cute little shops downtown. We also visited the Nantahala Outdoor Center which was beautiful.
The cabin was very clean and well equipped, and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The drive up to the cabin is a little difficult at first but once we got the hang of it we were fine, and it was more than worth it for the amazing views!
Overall we had such an amazing time at this cabin and we would come back again in a heartbeat!

In the description, they mention the awesome view and they were not wrong!! Definitely one of the best views I’ve seen of the mountains. The cabin itself was very nice, clean, and spacious. The appliances are updated and of great quality. The game area has plenty of games to keep you entertained. The hot tub was nice and the fire pit area gives a very relaxing atmosphere. David and Amy are very responsive when you need them and they provide the most detailed instructions I’ve ever seen at a Vrbo property. This is definitely one of our favorite rentals!

My wife and I enjoyed everything this cabin had to offer. I think we may become future bird watchers! The cabin was clean and everything about it was great! We are thinking of coming up in the fall/winter months!

This is a perfect spot for a couple to escape to. This property was well maintained and clean. Honestly, the picture of the view doesn't do it justice. My wife and I agree the sitting on the balcony was better than a lot of views along the trails. When we got back home we were already missing this place. We definitely want to come back for another visit.

The cabin was exactly what we pictured it would be and more. The host was very informative and helpful. Don't pack to much if booking this cabin, since they provide everything you would need. We stayed busy throughout the day exploring Smoky Mountain National Park and nearby towns. It was nice to finally get to the cabin and take a dip in the hot tub to unwind. Then, we would spend time around the fire pit, and discuss what we had seen, and what we planned to do the next day. The bathrooms are very spacious, and the master bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked great even though the cabin is located in a very private secluded area. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, and watching the birds eat from the many feeders located near the cabin. Perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the breathtaking views of the Smoky mountains. We would definitely book and stay here again.

Planned a five day getaway with my wife. Enjoyed every day of it. We spent a day hiking, a day visiting Bryson City, a day/night at Cherokee, and the rest on the deck. The house has everything you need from Wi-Fi, dishes/waffle maker, hot tub, and down to the details of USB plugs on each side of the bed.
Thank you for sharing your house, we look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary at our favorite cabin! The mountain views always take our breaths away, and the rolling clouds through the mountains are amazing to watch. This cabin is packed with so many thoughtful and fun things, the game room has everything you could ever need to have a good time. Loved the hot tub overlooking the view. Very comfortable bed and furniture. Will be back again someday!

Don’t underestimate the details about driving up to the cabin! But it’s well worth the drive! Was the perfect peaceful getaway and owners are easily accessible via phone. They provide just about everything you can think of outside of your meals to help make your stay enjoyable. I chose this place because of everything it provided, in case we had to stay in due to weather. There’s plenty to keep you occupied. Look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven in the future! As much I want to be selfish and not leave a review so there’s availability next time I visit, it’s too hard not to want to share about this soul restoring retreat. Those morning mountain views never get old.

I cannot get over how beautiful this cabin is. It had everything we needed for our honeymoon. Very clean and the views were stunning. Owners were extremely accommodating and communicative. I can’t thank them enough for such an amazing experience. ❤️

Everything about this cabin was spectacular. The cabin and the views were stunning. Relaxing in the hot tub and sitting on the porch was so peaceful. We will absolutely be back.

I hate giving this type of review because we will have more trouble booking next time.
The cabin is great. Well stocked kitchen, all kinds of games, very nice fire pit and great hot tub. Rocking chairs, a gas grill, fireplaces. The only thing missing is a transporter to make the trip easier.
They are not kidding about the drive from US 64. And we heard tires spinning the gravel on the road as other came up. Not sure rear wheel drive only vehicles would make it.
Once you are here the trip was well worth it.

My husband and i had a great time staying at this cabin. It felt so cozy and relaxing. We loved everything about it. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and everything you need and more. The view was amazing. We spent a lot of time downstairs as well enjoying all the games offered. we also loved having a TV and fire place down there too. The king mattress is firm and very comfortable, we didn't have any problem with it as we're used to our soft mattress. The drive up to the cabin is a bit long and challenging but we got used to it on the 2nd day. Check-in and check out were easy and without any issues. Everything about the cabin was perfect. We hope to visit again one day

The cabin was better than anticipated. The cabin is furnished beautifully and was decorated for the Christmas season. The kitchen was ready for any type of food preparation, from wooden skewers for the grill to a shot glass for your cocktail. Everything was so clean as if everything were brand new. Loved our stay!

Amazing views, super cozy and comfortable cabin. My husband and I were able to disconnect, literally no signal in the majority of the surrounding areas, unless we were in town or on WiFi at the cabin. It was fantastic. We spent our days hiking and exploring and our nights in the hot tub, cuddled up on the couch watching TV or learning how to play shuffleboard. Amy and David were super responsive to all of my millions of questions and very understanding when my husband accidentally broke a plate and a wine glass. We will definitely be back!!

Amazing views. Great house. Would love to go again!! No joke about the steep inclines up the mountain...way better to arrive in daylight!

The best VRBO we’ve stayed in! It exceeded our expectations! The only thing you need is food and clothing. The host have thought of everything else! The views are amazing to say the least! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will definitely be back!

Cabin is beautiful. The views are beautiful. Drive up the mountain kind of scary. Definitely would recommend 4 wheel drive. My car slipped on the rocks a few times.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway! The cabin exceeded our expectations. It is simply beautiful. From the initial booking to our arrival the communication was excellent with the homeowners. We truly didnt want to leave, everything was perfect. Views are outstanding, the cabin is secluded. This is probably the nicest vrbo that we have reserved. We enjoyed walking the Lower Creek trail and walking around the community roads. We will definitely be back!

Cabin was beautiful with stunning views. Perfect setting to relax. Hope to return again.

This was an awesome 6 night stay in a cabin that words just can't describe. Other reviews use "amazing, stunning, fabulous", etc. Well, it's more than that. The drive up to the cabin was easy if you use "Waze" as your GPS. It took us right to the cabin. The cabin is best described by the pictures in the listing. They are exactly the same as what you get. Kitchen area, living room area, bedroom, bathroom, and game room are amazingly well stocked. Sunset view is stunning and amazing. If you are on the fence about renting here, you WON'T be disappointed. David and Amy know hospitality and they show it. We will be back next fall. For sure. So, if you book, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

This place is perfect. We loved everything about it. It surpassed our expectations with the views. We spent hours watching the mountains change colors throughout the day. Hopefully, we can get back there sometime in the future. The house had everything we needed. We brought groceries and drinks and did not leave for 3 days.

Took the wife back to the smokies for her birthday. This cabin was a fantastic place to stay. Absolutely beautiful views, wife couldn’t get enough, sucked to have to leave. No doubt, this will be where we stay or our future trips to the smokies.
I didn’t get to fish Alarka creek as much as I wanted but did manage to get a couple of hours in and caught 3 sliver/gray trout, one brown, and one rainbow. If I could’ve only caught the brookie I was after I would’ve had a grand slam in under 2 hours.
The drive up is as steep as they say, but a blast to drive up. We rolled in well after dark lol, but the drive up was fun.

We had a wonderful time at Elk Ridge Cabin!! !! It is so comfortable, beautifully decorated, quiet and we had everything we needed!! We will definitely be

My husband and I are so grateful for our 8 night honeymoon experience at Elk Ridge Summit. Everything was perfect: the location/views, amenities, and the hosts. We cannot thank the hosts enough for the experience they provided to us!
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time, yet close to attractions such as Bryson City shopping (recommendation: get the jarred pickles from Darnell Farms, and be sure to get several because you will be addicted), the National Park, Gatlinburg, the NOC, etc., this is your place. If you are lucky enough to drive and can bring golf clubs, the Sequoyah National Golf Club course is a MUST for the views.
We loved how this cabin is filled to the brim of activities and ideas that can bring a couple close together (get ready for some intense games of shuffleboard!). There was a different amazing view every day from the deck and hot tub below: watching the fog fill the valleys, sunsets, hanging with the hummingbirds, and stargazing. We ate dinner here nearly every night because we just loved the serinity that much.
I truely hope to return to this cabin for a future visit. This trip was nothing short of amazing and we will forever remember this experience.

This is an absolute dream home. The pictures and previous glowing reviews sold us on the location and property, but it's another thing entirely to make the drive up and walk in the front door - just WOW. We can't imagine a place more inviting and warm, and Amy & David's attention to detail throughout is beyond thoughtful. It's immediately apparent how much love they've put into their home and we feel blessed to have had an opportunity to experience it.
We were housebound for a majority of our 3 nights there due to some fluctuating weather, but we honestly couldn't have been happier - as folks who enjoy cooking for catharsis, their kitchen was a complete delight, and the downtime in the hot tub, using their stock of puzzles & games and morning coffee + hummingbird-watching on the top deck were just what we needed. Watching the "smoke" creep over the mountains and into the valleys was magic - every time we looked outside the vista seemed to have evolved into something even more beautiful.
Our hosts were super responsive during booking and leading into the trip, providing excellent recommendations of what to bring, what to see/where to go and how to make the most of their accommodations. The driving directions and overall instructions are foolproof, providing answers to any questions we could have had ingoing and during our stay.
If you're looking for a gorgeous place to unwind in the mountains near Bryson City, look no further. Thank you Amy & David!!
