We had another great stay here at Deep Creek Overlook. We’ve stayed with the kiddos prior, but this was just the two of us for an anniversary celebration. We really enjoy the amenities of the property and its gorgeous view. Lots of privacy and Bryson City and the surrounding area offer a lot of the outdoor options that we love. Will definitely be back later this year!

Beautiful in every aspect, but a little challenging to find. Our biggest complaint is the early checkout. Fixing a nice breakfast, and cleaning up the kitchen afterwards, plus packing up and policing the place to be sure you hadn’t forgotten anything, was a real challenge. RUSH, RUSH, RUSH, and that’s not what we came for. Get up earlier you might say. Getting up early is also not why we came. And 8:30 is not exactly a leisurely wake up time. An 11:00 check out would remedy all this.

We enjoyed the cabin perfect for our family. Loved the Mountain View and the pool table

What a lovely rustic cabin. It has 3 Cozy beds, a king master downstairs and two queens in a shared upstairs. Great rocking chairs on the porch. A momma cat had baby kittens in the woods close by and comes to visit. You can hear the river on the porch and watch beautiful sunsets. Great kitchen fully equipped and it was nice to have some cleaning supplies and trash bags etc to us, as well as a few spices. You could tell the host tried to think of everything. I would recommend getting in before sunset, as the driveway is steep with pot holes and with the great directions it is still challenging. Also there is a cleaning fee and host fee in additional and the cleaners are there at 10 am in the dot when you leave so you feel a bit rushed. I had wished it was 11. Overall excellent stay!

This was the perfect getaway for our family; my wife and I and our kids (13 and 15). House was perfect for our family of 4; played a lot of pool while at the house. During the day we hiked Waterrock Knob day 1 and Clingsmann Dome day 2 (both were about an hour away but worth it). After the hikes we came back to check out downtown Bryson City and enjoyed some ice cream before returning to the house for some pool. Really enjoyed our stay.

My mother and i had a wonderful time. We enjoyed it a lot. Other than the narrow road and the pool table being out of shape it 2as GREAT

This cabin was comfortable and cozy. Great view and centrally located. Thank you for a great vacation!

My husband and I booked this cabin to celebrate our anniversary. It’s close by to the casino and the Sequoyah golf course which was perfect for us.
The cabin was very clean and had plenty of towels and kitchen accessories.
This is clearly stated in the description but the location of the game room with pool table can’t be accessed by the main house. It’s attached to the house downstairs but has to be accessed by stairs outside. Not a big deal for us.
We enjoyed several games of pool but wish there were board games or card games available.
Loved the wrap around porch!
The hot tub can be accessed from the living room or bedroom doors which was convenient. Offers amazing views!
We couldn’t get the tv in the master to work but we were so tired each night that it didn’t matter.
Definitely follow the host’s directions as far as the address to put into GPS and then which way to follow once on the road up the cabin. This is key!

This wonderful cabin perfectly slept our family of 4. It’s tucked in a nice little area, up a side, but not too far away from convenience, and not too strenuous to get to. The view from the balcony was beautiful! The pool table made for some fun, nice endings to our long, adventurous days. Super clean and cute, yet, not overly decorated and furnished. Check-in and Check-out was very easy and Mr. Darrel does ask for much. Everything we needed was provided and kept nice; you can definitely tell there is a lot of pride and love poured into this place. If we ever decide to stay in the Deep Creek area again, we will be sure to book with Mr. Darrel!!

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin! I loved the sound of the rushing water below. The only reason I did not give the property 5 stars is because the road leading to the cabin needs some work.

The cabin is very nice and clean very peaceful definitely would stay again

Just needed a getaway and the hot tub with the view was best

A true log cabin…in my opinion. Wood, wood everywhere! Perfectly appointed. Magnificent views. You can hear the rush of the river below. The space is spacious! Huge wrap around porch. Plenty of rocking chairs. There’s a gas grill also a regular grill if you prefer. There’s a fire pit with seating and a gas fireplace inside. The game room has a bar height table with stools, sofa, electric fireplace and space heater. This place was very comfortable with lots of windows to enjoy the views all around. It’s open yet very warm and welcoming. We had a lovely time. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to as well. What a quaint little town Bryson is. And very close to waterways and the great smoky mountain national park.

The cabin was great. Very convenient to downtown Bryson City.

Everything about the cabin and Bryson City was mesmerizing! The owners we super helpful and attentive. Cabin seemed more like a luxurious 5 star resort. We ate breakfast at Everett’s Diner and dinner at Anthony’s TWICE! Oh and let’s not forget the reason we came, the Polar Express train ride was everything and MORE!
4.8
The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Very clean and comfortable. The wife and I enjoyed sitting out back drinking coffee in the morning and looking out at the mountains. The cabin sits a short drive down the mountain from downtown Bryson City which looks like a town out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Checking in and out couldn’t have been easier. Owner kept in touch.
If you’re looking for a place to get away this cabin is an excellent choice. Bryson City has many shops and restaurants. It’s about 30 minutes from Cherokee and a little over an hour from Gatlinburg. Thanks Mr Watts for helping us make some new memories

We came to ride the Smoky Mountain Railway, and stayed here afterwards. It was a cozy cabin, very well kept- it was a lot of fun! Thank you! We do suggest 4 wheel drive- we had a Honda Odyssey and made it, but it may have been a little difficult if rainy.

Great location, very comfortable and clean. This cabin was perfect for our family. The view from the back deck was amazing and we enjoyed the hot tub. Darrell the owner was a great communicator and very accommodating. We will be back!

Beautiful property and so clean! Highly recommend!

This is such a great property and we really enjoyed our stay. Sitting out on the deck listening to the water running below was so nice. Bryson City itself was so cute and we also spent one day river tubing. We did have a little trouble with the volume on the TV because the Roku remote wasn't allowing the volume to be turned down but the owner was so quick to respond and offered us the perfect solution (downloading the Roku app to control the TV volume instead of the remote). We used the fire pit one night and the view and surroundings were great. It really felt like the house wasn't surrounded by other houses. We really had a great stay and would definitely return.

This was our second time staying in the Deep Creek Overlook Cabin and once again it did not disappoint. Great location, great views, great host. We couldn't ask for a better trip to the mountains!

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous cabin. The decor and amenities were wonderful. Would rent again.

The view was amazing, clean cabin, 6 minutes away from Bryson City Center, Deep Creek, and Rec park.
We had good competition going at the man gave playing some pool table - billiards.
Minor items to mention, the hot tub missing stepper and washing machine is very loud.
Overall, we enjoyed our time.
Thanks

First off let me say our stay was ok. A few things didn't add up but it didn't make things that bad. After reading a few reviews after booking we had similar issues. The jacuzzi was not clean. It had dirt and other particles in it. None of the beds were queen size. All three are full size. This cabin shouldn't be advertised as a three bed room. More like a one bed room with two beds on an (OPEN) loft. You can literally stand in the living room and look at both beds on the loft at the same time. There is NO privacy at all on the loft. Shouldn't be called a three bedroom at all. The downstairs game room has no heat or air. There is a fireplace provided but who wants to cut it on and off just to use the area. The outside Temps were in the 80's so it was hot downstairs while we used the game room. We had to open the outside doors to get air. The cabin is well supplied with cooking and eating supplies. Location is great as well as view of the mountains.
4.8
The cabin was perfect! The layout, the wrap around porch, the man cave with pool table, the hot tub, we loved everything about it! The location was great too, it was close to town but still tucked away. We will be planning another trip here!
4.8
Great cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains; you can hear the creek flowing below and it made for some quiet peaceful evenings.
The hot tub wasn't clean when we arrived but we contacted the host and they had someone out the next morning to clean it, unfortunately we couldn't use it the first night there though.
The downstairs room with pool table is only accessible from the outside and not connected with the central heat/air. The host does provide a heater for the room and the stairs leading down are off the covered porch.
Overall, beautiful quaint cabin in a quiet area close to town and we really enjoyed our stay!
4.8
Beautiful cabin with impressive views. Very clean, comfortable beds! Great kitchen/living room area for relaxing and looking out over the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay; one thing that could have made it better would have been heavy or blackout curtains in the master bedroom on the window facing the neighboring cabin. It had a porch light that beamed through that window all night which was disruptive for sleeping; blackout curtains would be a simple fix :) Other than that, super!!

Fourth booking on VRBO for mountain cabin experience and this one was by far the best. It was important to us that it had a hot tub, good view, fire pit & was private. This property met all that. First thing I checked upon arrival was what kitchen tools, pans, etc were there since we like to cook at home - kitchen had everything we needed so turns out I didn’t need my own cutting board, chefs knife & good vegetable peeler that I’d packed. (We did need a whisk but I used one of the hand mixer blades by hand instead.) Next thing I checked was the hot tub - we took the lid off and it was spotless. No residue from previous users, so obviously drained, wiped and refilled before we arrived. Then I dug deeper and pulled the filter out just to make really sure. It was not a brand new filter but was spotless too - clearly maintained properly. One of our other bookings we had to take the filter and spray/scrub it off - not here. The floating sanitizer widget was loaded properly too with I think Bromide tablets, may have been Chlorine. Whatever it was, it was working properly. There is no provided firewood to use, so you’ll need to buy your own at the grocery store or campground - not a big deal since they are close by. We brought our own folding camp chairs and used them by the fire pit - otherwise you can sit on the log benches. We are older so I’m glad we brought the folding camp chairs. The rocking chairs and benches on the porch are better for taller people - I’m kind of short (5’-4” woman) and the edges caught me above the knees, not very comfortable. So did the bench at the dinner table, but the chairs at the dinner table were really nice. We only used the master bedroom downstairs and it was SO comfortable. The linens and the quality of the pillows were top notch. We brought our super nice pillows from home - and I’m a pillow snob - but I noticed that as I slept I tucked my pillow UNDER the pillows on the bed. Also, I spread out like a starfish when I sleep so the idea of sharing a queen/full with my mate worried me -but it brought us closer together than ever - literally :) it was wonderful closeness & snuggle time. The tv situation worked out great for us - we are Roku users at home so it was easy for us. The only other thing I will mention is for the drive up the hill - ignore the neighbors’ sign about going slow and not spinning out. If you want to get up the hill without spinning out, get a bit of speed behind you.

Beautiful cabin and peaceful setting.
The only problem was a bad section of road. I would recommend 4 week drive.
4.8
Amazing property. One master bedroom with bath down and two beds with a bath upstairs in the big loft. Perfect for family with kids.
Amazing sunsets and foggy daybreak.
The road up is a White knuckler but if you follow owners instructions/directions you'll be fine. Make sure to have those screenshotted and easily accessible before leaving town. GPS could land you at the wrong place.
House is well appointed. Comfortable. Beautiful. Wish we'd had longer to enjoy it.
