We and our kids enjoyed our stay a lot!

We had a great visit in North Carolina! This house was wonderful! Such beautiful views from the decks, the beds were comfy, it was quiet and peaceful at the end of busy, activity filled days!

We stayed a week at this home with our two adult children and dog and it was a great experience. The home is clean, has so many amenities, and a beautiful master bath and master balcony. The wrap-around deck offers three sitting areas, including some that are covered for rainy days. The mountain views, especially from the master balcony, are beautiful. We had a lot of fun in Asheville, and this home's location is close to downtown, the River Arts District, Biltmore, and many other locations. We would definitely stay here again. One note: Be aware that black bears roam around this property, including the fenced backyard. It was really cool seeing them, but also a little scary, especially if you're out at night. This is probably going to be a factor in all Asheville locations, though. We would definitely recommend this home ... 10 out of 10!

This house was one of the best rentals we have used for vacationing! It was a multigenerational trip with oldest being 70 and youngest 11. Very clean, well organized and great views! Also very well stocked, all bathrooms had hand soap and toilet paper for our stay. Located right near south Asheville, Arden was the perfect location to either pop into Hendersonville or Downtown Asheville. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Royal Cottage was perfect for our long weekend in Asheville. It's well located between Asheville and Hendersonville, clean, spacious and well-equipped!

Exactly as described! LOVED the view and also loved the master bathroom shower!!

My husband and I and 2 other couples decided to do a quick long weekend getaway to the Biltmore. We chose this house for the views and space! We brought our English cocker spaniel, Pepper. The property was a great set up and worked well with our stay! It was about 1 hour from the “Pretty Place Chapel” and about 15 minutes from the Biltmore entrance. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! It made our stay from Georgia wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay at Royal Cottage! The location was great for mountain biking in the area and dining out. We had a place to safely store our mountain bikes for the week when not in use which was nice. The house offered a great outdoor area with pretty mountain views from the back deck or covered side porch with plenty of seating for everyone. The property's backyard is fenced but you must use the deck stairs off the back of the house and down to the driveway to access the gate into the backyard which was fine for our situation.

The home was very nice and spacious. Easy to navigate the area and close to the Biltmore Estates. Communication to property was excellent.

It was wonderful to see the changing sunrises from day to day! The house is laid out very nicely. We enjoyed our stay. Ron, the property manager, helped us out many times. We appreciated it.
Would stay again!

We attended a family wedding and decided to stay in a VRBO instead of hotel. Our decision was the correct one. The house was in a quiet neighborhood, was extremely clean and close to where we needed to be.

Great gathering spot, whether in living room, dining room, or kitchen.
Nice eastern view for sunrise.
Easy access to downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Pwky, Pisgah National Forest, Brevard area (Dupont), Mt Mitchell, and Chimney Rock.

We loved this property and hope to stay again.

Not only is it a beautiful house but the view is beautiful. The deck faces east so we were able to see the sun rise over the mountains. Since we were there in October the leaves were colorful. We agree with other reviews that the driveway could be a problem in snow and ice. We were looking for housing near Asheville where we could see mountains and this fit the bill. Great communication with the manager.

Was a great place to getaway and enjoy the mountains. The heating and cooling systems are a bit challenging to navigate but they can be mastered so you are comfortable. During our stay, it required air conditioning in part of the day but heat at night.

Great views from the decks! The house was well stocked and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time there. We would have liked to have access to the fenced back yard, but other than that, it was perfect!

Short vacation for wife & I to meet up w my sister from Oregon and honor our parents who spent many years in NC. The home is almost at the top of the mountain and has an amazing view to ghe east, esp of the sunrise! Nice beds & linens, excellent kitchen furnishings and appliances, nice furniture and big (enough) screen tv in the L/R. Kitchen even has nice sharp Henckels knives! Really nice pots, pans & dinnerware as well- well above the normal Walmart quality usually found in VRBO’s.
Couple of thoughts- driveway is VERY VERY STEEP so if you’re coming when they’re expecting snow you might be stuck and unable to leave. Also, all the bedrooms are upstairs so beware if you have someone w mobility issues. Finally we found one of the flip-up garbage cans raided by raccoons overnight (not our trash but was our mess) so make sure anything that smells like food goes in one of the more sealable trash cans.
Overall was a great trip even to ouch we had a couple of rainy days. Thems the breaks.

We stayed here for a month and loved the house. Wifi was strong enough for work-from-home. The neighborhood was quiet and private. Great for walking the dogs (and cycling), as long as you're ok with hills! About a 20 minute drive to all the downtown action in Asheville. The property manager was excellent - very responsive and friendly. If you have dogs, be aware that while the backyard is fenced in, the fence doesn't extend to the deck. Recommend that the owners extend the fence to include the deck, so the dogs can run freely between the deck and the backyard. We would gladly come back again!

We wanted a quick break away before the school season started again. This mountain house was just perfect, great views, quiet - simply turn key for our family. The property manager was outstanding in quality and content of communication. We loved the balcony time when kids were asleep and loved the accessibility to blue ridge, pisgah and asheville. Great resource, already want to stay there again.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The only feedback was the master Bed needs a better mattress topper. Other than that we had a great time and will come back! Thank you!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here for a month and were very happy with the home. The house came equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen and we nice and clean upon our arrival. We did our own baby proofing, which was necessary with the stairs. Management was extremely responsive, which we really appreciated. We’d definitely stay here again!

Nice mountain home, wonderful area.
We found the house a comfortable and lovely refuge during a rare heatwave in the Blue Ridge. The AC was very cold, though we did figure how to change it to our comfort after a day or two. The kitchen had cookware we needed, and we had some yummy breakfasts here. It seems to be an older home with small windows and dark spaces, but we aren't fussy. My biggest issue was that the bedrooms made my son have a bad allergic reaction, and since he is allergic to dogs, I shouldn't have rented this property that does allows dogs and has carpeting. He was ok if he was on the main level, but had to stay out of the bedrooms. (Yes, he had to sleep on the couch, but I washed his sheets and blankets myself, hoping to lessen any allergens, and he was ok after a while.) The property management was responsive to a power outage we suffered do to a storm, and made sure we had flashlights as night descended. Ron was very kind to head over. I would rent again, but wouldn't bring my allergic kiddo.

The online photos of the house do not do it justice. It is a lovely house, tastefully decorated, great kitchen, large fenced back for our dog. She loved it. Great views. Quiet neighborhood, convenient to Asheville sites. Less than fifteen minutes to NC Arboretum. Don't miss it.

Wonderful Property!
Amazing mountain views a quick drive from Asheville, but also within a few minutes to Brevard and other gorgeous areas! Stayed with family and had plenty of room for a family of 4. In a great neighborhood. Looking forward to returning

Relaxing Time
My wife and I stayed at the Royal Cottage with my wife’s 2 sisters and their husbands. We had a great time and enjoyed some of the many amenities of the Asheville area. The house has a well laid out and equipped kitchen with a nice large dining room table nearby. This made it easy to cook and provide meals for all six of us. The house has a lovely wrap around deck with a good view to the east, perfect for observing sunrises. There were also frequent bird sightings, including cardinals, Eastern Towhees, robins, woodpeckers and a few hawks. The driveway is a bit steep downward to the parking area but with no ice or snow to contend with we managed fine with 3 different vehicles. Overall a wonderful experience, especially because of the timely and clear communications from the property managers and their quick reactions to questions and requests.

Even Better Than Expected!
My husband and I so enjoyed our stay here. The views - including a killer sunrise off the bedroom upper deck - were hard to beat, the house itself was sparkly clean, perfectly well appointed and went above and beyond in many small ways that really add up to guests like us (nice warm throws in the living room, "quality" toilet paper 😊, fluffy towels). Highly recommend!
