A very friendly welcome by Laurie after a booking on a very short notice, as we had to change our schedule due to a cancelled sailing of a ferry. The en-suite room was comfortable, the breakfast delicious. The view from the breakfast room was exceptional.
The bed was not optimal for us.

Stayed at this property very last minute due to the weather, but honestly can’t complain. The woman who was at the house was very welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. The room was lovely and spacious. The living area had a wonderful view with seating to enjoy. In the morning, breakfast was made to how we like it and was very nice. I’m glad we stumbled upon this and saved us from a rainy night. Hopefully be back for another visit.

I liked that it was quiet and secluded - a well needed break from the city - and yet it was not too far away from shops and restaurants. The place is well suited to all ages with activities for children and adults alike. We had a wonderful stay thank you so much Laurie!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. The views are incredible and made sitting at home enjoyable for us all too. The house is spacious which meant our kids were also very well entertained and we had every facility that we required. We really enjoyed the dining recommendations from the host. i.e. PizzaJo to Go and Manuela`s Wee Bakery. Also Taste of India, Kyleakin is highly recommended and is very close to the accommodation.
The Coop in Kyleakin has everything you would need and is just 5 mins away. Some recommendation on the Isle of Skye:
-Fairy Pools (Glenbrittle)
-Coral Beach,
-Old Man of Storr (easy-moderate hiking)
-Quiraing (moderate-hard walk/hiking - not recommended with children)
-Kilt Rock
-Neist Point Lighthouse

Great house with great views. The house was so homely it genuinely felt like a home away from home. With 3 young boys we normally feel penned in when staying away from home but the house was so spacious it was great. Hosts communication was spot on & even super helpful recommending local places that the kids month enjoy. Instructions left for cooker/dishwasher etc. Coop down the road & a decent enough selection of restaurants/take aways in the area. Most of the activities we chose to do were
quite far away (trips into Portree, Fairy Pools, Dinosaur footprints, Coral beach etc. Not too much hassle, we just totally underestimated the size of the island & probably would've planned our days differently in hindsight 😁 would love to visit again in the summer months, can imagine the house & views are even better! The kids loved it & kept asking if we could move to 'holiday house' 😁

House had everthing you would need. View from garden was incredible. Extremely warm house & fab showers. Food takeaways nearby - seafood and indian within walking distance . Lovely local walks, forestry walk at end of the road & Kyleakin castle ruins, both stunning walks.
No tv. We really enjoyed the house but as we had teenager a tv would have been good. Would also be good to have outside access from livingroom, there is a door there but does not seem to be operational. Window beside dining table doesn't open at all.
