Close to attractions and beaches. Place was clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Requires maintenance. The electricity kept tripping whenever both bathrooms were being used. Unless you have a car, it’s difficulty to buy and carry groceries if required.

Exceptional

We came visiting from Portland, OR, USA, and our reactions are as the USA persons. Preamble - dear folks, please expect lower life quality in Mexico aside from luxurious Hotel Zones. No matter what part of Cancun you live aside Hotel Zone and All Inclusive -you'll see lower life quality. With that in mind - read on. The house is exceptional. The host, Arturo, speaks English, and responds to WhatsApp quickly. The house has two floors plus third roof floor with swimming pool which is about 3 feet deep -perfect for kids and teen-age. Footage is around 2400 sq ft two floors, very generous. Big kitchen with stove, fridge, cabinets, dishware etc. Note - please purchase and use bottled water (relatively cheap) for cooking and drinking. Big living room with small toilet and AC, and two big bedrooms each with AC, bathroom, and toilet. The beds are very comfortable -don't judge from pictures, each bed has real spring box and good quality mattress, and good linens. Gated community requires wearing paper bracelets on way in and way out. Just get a tape and put bracelet on taped, no one checks closely. Community is very quite, and warming welcome. The best way to get around (ie. grocery stores, beaches etc.) - car rental. There are also bus (frequent) nearby, and also taxi which are relatively cheap. But with car rental cheap as well, why not drive around yourself? There is nearby beach (along with the fish dock and market), about 5 min walking. We never visited it. The best swimming beaches are located in Hotel Zone which is about 20 min driving. The best beach overall IMHO is Playa Caracol. For small kids pls check Playa Linda and Playa Langusta. Note -all beaches are public in Mexico by law, and you can walk along them by law. Hotels try to hide the walking paths, and put amenities such as umbrella and showers onto public beaches. Amenities might be free, or paid, or private. However, you're free to walk in and swim into water.

The streets / roads surrounding are barely paved, and bumpy. It is common in Cancun and in Mexico in general. Please don't expect quality roads except at luxury Hotel Zone which is about 20 min driving. Overall, not a big deal.

Fixtures in bathrooms. Door locks stiff.

The host, Arturo is a wonderful man. So helpful with offering advice and answering questions. Only ever a text message away if you needed anything.. The home itself is lovely. Very spacious and nice decor. My only constructive criticism is that maybe more could be done to keep insects out of the upstairs bedroom/balcony door - other doors had a seal to prevent bugs entering. Also some of the fixtures (taps, door handles) were in need of updating. That aside, we still enjoyed our stay and it was very good value for money.

Peaceful & Spacious property. A MUST STAY

The location was excellent, it was not too far away from downtown. It gave you a taste of the marine culture.. fresh fish just steps away. From every window was a different view to appreciate. the staff was amazing, the rooms were very comfortable. I will definitely return to Casa Quintal whenever I come back.

Large and comfortable property with a friendly host

Large 2 bed house with a small but nice shared rooftop pool and outdoor lounge area. Peaceful and safe gated neighbourhood. option of fresh cooked breakfast next door in Casa Lara. well equipped kitchen with fridge, coffee machine, kettle etc. Short walk to the frequent Jetway and Ultramar passenger ferries over to Isla Mujeres which has lovely beaches and fun golf buggies to rent. Friendly host (Arturo) was helpful with all the info we needed. plenty of space to park your car outside

Limited shops nearby, so shop for your beers and food ahead of arriving. the local beach restaurants close early. These things are not a problem if you have a car.

Arturo, the home owner was wonderful. He helped us book ticket to Tulum and the trip was so much fun. The house is clean. As well as the location is quit and calm. Even though the location is a little far. You can get taxi but I recommend. Radio taxi since it cheaper and it like Uber. Also don’t forget to go to Isla Mujeres is the most amazing island, if you are staying here. Thank you to Arturo and his mom for making us tasty breakfast. Love this place. Most likely will come here again in the future.

Superb

Beautiful home with tons of space and huge bedrooms. Super comfortable beds too! Quite neighborhood and very helpful hosts :) There was even cold drinks and snacks available for a very modest fee. We would definitely stay again!

The host was very kind and always helping thru every request. Very helpful

The location is great, a few steps away from playa El Niño, calm neighborhood, big spaces in the house. Host is super nice.

Everything was fine, only thing I can mention is that we had bad weather one day and we wanted to take a hot shower but there is no hot water, and kitchen missing a microwave, but none of these were really a problem.

Arturo was nice at first, but then annoyed so we stopped asking for help

Arturo was polite and answered questions. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood has friendly neighbors. The staff at the security gate were all very nice.

The street was flooded often so we had to walk through water. The house didn’t have basics like hand towels in bathrooms, any kitchen necessities (paper towels, hand towels, etc) or a microwave, blankets for the bed (only a sheet), etc. Sinks, appliances, locks, and outside stairs are very old and rusty/not easy to use. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sinks.
