We had a lovely few days walking and visiting our daughter in Cardiff.

I loved the location as it was easy to get into the Brecon Beacons and there were walks from the cottage. Rh whose was very helpful and it was great being able to arrive earlier than the usual check in rime

Cottage exceeded expectations, very comfortable, homely and equipped with everything we needed.

Lovely cottage located exactly where we wanted to be, very comfortable and well equipped. Hosts were so helpful before booking and so easy to contact when we were there.

Can't fault a thing. It was perfect.

Lovely place for a family or adult group.

Very smart and modern and exceptionally clean. Small touches too like cleaning products and a pint of milk in the fridge!

It was a little cold when we arrived with no wood for the fire. A small supply to get people started would be appreciated for a January visit.

Lovely property

Great little property that works as a fantastic base to explore Abergavenny and the surrounding towns. A short drive into the centre where there's a lot of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some great local walks around there too. I'd recommend driving off to do the "four waterfalls walk" as that was spectacular. There is a nice little garden with a table and chairs to sit out which was a great touch.

Within walking distance there isn't a huge amount as the property is on the main road which you can't walk down. There is a great pub/restaurant next door, however this gets pretty busy so you'll need to book. If you're looking for variety for places to eat and drink you'll need to drive, but it's close enough that this isn't really much of a pain!

The cottage was more than we expected… great location, very well stocked with crockery, implements etc. It was very comfortable & was very homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful stone cottage, well kept and obviously loved by the hosts

The house was great for our needs. Everything very clean and tidy, beds made up for us. Cottage kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. Hosts very contactable and replied to messages and questions quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a nice touch for the hosts to have left some milk and a few tea bags, sugar etc. The garden was lovely, garden table and chairs left out for us to use and the garden was very well kept.

The only slight issue a couple of us had (5 stayed) was waking early due to light curtains that let the daylight in, easily solved by us using eye masks, but host may wish to consider some black out blinds or curtains in the future. Parking is limited but we always managed to get parked somewhere in the hamlet.

Mel is extremely helpful. The property is lovely and cosy and very homely. Convenient location and lots of nice pubs nearby. We’d recommend the Crown at Pantygelli and Hunters Moon at Llangattock (further on from Abergavenny). Lovely.

Gorgeous cottage with a homely feel! Well equipped and in a lovely location with walks on your doorstep (and a pub too!) The house was sparkling clean and all the facilities were of such a high standard. Thank you - we had a great time and thanks for all your recommendations!

very cosy house, with all what you need for a relaxed holiday. great location. we were 5 and there was plenty of space for all of us.

very close to the road but luckily the double glazed windows take some of the noise.

Absolutely stunning cottage in a convenient location. Clean and a high standard of accommodation. Parking and a beautiful garden outside the property. We had everything that we needed. Special mention to the host. The communication was the best I have ever had with so much help, advice and recommendations for the local area.

Perfect Welsh getaway, everything we needed.

Homely feel, great decor, everything you needed to make it a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, stunning garden and perfect communication with the owner. Could not have asked for a better cottage!

The Bell pub was closed when we went, I think it’s under renovation.

Lovely cottage, great location

Really lovely cottage with tasteful interior decor that has been done to high standard. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable and warm. Owners were accommodating, helpful and quick to respond to enquiries. Pretty garden too, though it was too cold for us to enjoy during our visit. Fab location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. We were disappointed that the local pub a few doors up had not reopened for business but there's a beautiful riverside walk up to the Dragon's Head from the cottage, which we'd recommend for good pub fare at very reasonable prices.

Property is on a busy main road (A40) so guests staying in the rooms at the front experienced disturbed sleep. Room at the rear blissfully quiet.

Superb

The cottage location provides easy access to head into the Brecon Beacons, I was so pleased to have found this nice little cottage. The beds are the best I have ever had in a rental. The upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower and the downstairs has a bath/shower. Host Mel provided us with a beautiful alternative route to get to the Pen Y Fan trails and Kel gave us a nice little castle tip, we would have never seen it otherwise and we were very happy we did. The hosts are highly communicative and help out when the need arises. Our stay was much too short and we felt a sting of sadness when we left. A sure sign of a good holiday.

Garden was excellent Comfy bed Furnished to a high standard

Two of the three bedrooms are next to a very busy trunk road. Even with ear plugs it was difficult to get much sleep due to the noise.
