Location was amazing!! Perfect for skiing as a family. Property was clean and great space for our family to enjoy when not on the slopes.

Great house
We love coming here. Our 2nd trip to this house and it is so relaxing. Love looking out the windows at the slopes while sitting next to the fire. Close enough to the Village to just be able to walk there as well!

Needs some updates, but my biggest problem was no hot water and some maintenance issues…

The location was tough to beat! Close enough to the village but nicely quiet and away. We came in the summer for mountain biking and it’s literally across the street from our favorite trails. There is also the Pizza Slice (best pizza on the mountain and great for lunch) and the Appalachia Kitchen (best dinner spot) practically next door. Unfortunately the bad comes with the condition of the unit. There were simple things like 1/2 dozen lightbulbs out (and none in the unit to replace with) to big things like significantly deteriorated furniture, floors, and even beds. And we’re not just talking dated and mismatched (which they were), I mean warped tile in the kitchen, ripped furniture in the living room, and a visibly sunken bed in the master just to name a few. This unit, to be expected, was built with ski season in mind so there was no air conditioning (something we have become accustomed to at Snowshoe)…totally not an issue in the past but not a single window opened and even if they did there were either no screens or holes…a pretty big deal in the summer. Not that it has to be included, but there were no extra attempts at hospitality (coffee, snacks, local recommendations, ect.). All in its a shame #17 seemingly hasn’t seen any updates or routine maintenance in a VERY long time because it really does have potential to be a great space. I definitely would not rent again, especially at this price…we’ve rented far better accommodations at Snowshoe over the years. Hopefully improvements will be made in the future to bring this unit back to what I’m sure it was back in the day.

Right of the slopes with good potential. The place needs investment to get up to standard.
