About this house rental
Enjoy a variety of day trips while staying with us! Visitors come from all over the world to see the giant sequoias at the Sequoia National Park. The Sierra Nevada mountain range offers beautifully-groomed ski slopes and numerous hiking trails. The Central California Coastline is widely thought of as the most beautiful part of the long California coastline. Or, visit Paso Robles to see over 26,000 acres of vineyards, nearly 200 wineries, and more than 100 tasting rooms a short drive away.
This listing is for a house AND a studio apartment, both on this property.
The House:
Step inside the huge outside door leading to the front patio and follow the path through the front patio past the boulders, dry creek bed, and desert-scape landscape design. There is a quaint covered porch, that leads to the front door of the house.
Walk out the back door of the home to the lovely large patio with its complete outdoor kitchen, hot tub for 6, waterfall and koi pond and fire pit.
This property has been featured on the Garden Tour by the Garden Club, twice! One year for the lushly planted backyard and outdoor living space. And another year for the unique use of hardscape and drought-tolerant plants to create the beautiful front yard landscape.
In the winter after your warm soak in the hot tub, enjoy relaxing by the fire pit with your family and friends. It will keep you comfortably warm even on cold winter nights.
In the summer, you will appreciate the shade on the back patio and the coolness of the water feature. You might even take a dip in the unheated very large hot tub to cool off.
Walk through the South patio to the separate entrance for the Garden Studio Apartment. This is a large space with a functional kitchenette, a dining table for 4, 2 queen beds. There is a small bathroom with a shower. The back door of the apartment opens onto the back patio of the home. This is an ideal arrangement for large groups because everyone can be together but also have privacy when desired.
You will notice the attention to detail in this property. There are spaces for working, eating, unpacking and relaxing. All of the beds have tempurpedic memory foam mattresses, soft, quality linens, extra pillows and blankets, toiletries and bathroom accessories, luggage stand.
Elegant landscape lighting adds ambiance to the front and the back landscaping and living spaces at night. The large driveway accommodates 5 vehicles and there is street parking in front of the home.
The home is beautifully decorated in a contemporary-CA style. This is not just a basic suburban house in a basic suburban neighborhood. The thought, effort, and money that went into the decor is evident. You will feel like you are truly on vacation here!

The house was great, the hot tub was the key to everything along with the fireplace. Only thing was that we couldn’t put the heater higher than 70 degrees and it got chilly inside but overall great location. It fit all of us comfortably, close to grocery store and about 45 min away to Sequoia! Will definitely rent again. Thank you Lisa for hosting us.

My family was looking for a quick getaway near Sequoia national park and Lisa’s home was the perfect one. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving get together at her place. Her home was very well-equipped for the needs of our kids and family. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Lisa’s place.

A good place to stay and cover Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon if you are willing to drive each day. Visalia is a small cozy city and got all the facilities you need. The house is clean with an additional apartment that got 2 queen beds however, its detached from the main house. open space in front and back. A big drive way, Overall its a nice place to stay.

Nice House close to Highway
We really liked the house and the apartment for our stay. The house is close to the highway, and not too far from Sequoia National park. The property was clean, exactly as described in the listing. We will definitely consider staying here again when we visit Sequoia NP next.

Great Hostv and Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There were 7 of us, so we had both the main house as well as the back house. Lisa was a great communicator and easy to work with. The layout of the house works very well for a family. Just the right space and lots of good seating for dining. Would stay here again..

Clean, Inviting with all the comforts of home
House and Guest House were both clean and inviting. Main house was very well stocked and welcoming. The yard was pleasant and great for entertaining. The hot tub was overly chlorinated...not sure if that was due to Covid precautions, but we had to get out after just a short time due to burning eyes. Overall, a wonderful home and a great getaway. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

Our stay at Giddings home
Our experience was not good at all the property manager spoke to me like I was a child I am a 56 year old and she was not pleasant at all her and my husband also had words.
The house was not clean and definitely not to covid standards by far. I had to clean the home myself for my family and I.
Also if you are looking for a vacation home where you can have cool or heat then I would advise you to not book this home the property manager controls it at all time we asked to cool the home down more and the manager told us to open the windows in a state that was covered in smoke from the fires that's what the answer we got
Not so friendly at all
The whole reason we picked this home was because of the reviews but I would not recommend this property

Excellent Spot For a Family Gathering
The property was very nice and quite comfortable for our group of eight. We mistakenly never used the garden apartment with its two double beds, but it was still large enough. It was very well appointed and the back garden is quite an oasis. The hosts were very responsive and quickly assisted us with the one issue we had, which was the A/C. It was very hot when we visited, so the A/C had a hard time keeping the house cool, but the hosts were able to remotely access the thermostat to cool it down for us. There's plenty of off-street parking and it's less than a mile from a local market.
