Colorado Traction Law:
From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.
Important Winter Advisory:
Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. We are unable to offer refunds for vehicles that get stuck or require towing, and unfortunately, we cannot assist with towing or vehicle recovery. Additionally, some properties may require 4WD or AWD even during non-winter months due to uneven terrain and dirt roads. The house was amazing! The location is perfect for walking everywhere and the host responded to all questions quickly. I would absolutely stay here again.
10.0
The property is beautiful, with phenomenal views of the mountains from the back patio. The kitchen was well-equipped and the space had many thoughtful touches. The walking distance (roughly 3 blocks) to Breckenridge’s main strip was a huge plus as well. Would gladly stay again.

Place was as advertised. Great location.

The home is in the historic district, which is a fabulous location, but being in a historic house has challenges. The house has an odd layout- but works for big parties. There was a great newly renovated kitchen and living room but the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some work. Beds were not very comfortable and the bathrooms were very small and both the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some updating. Overall, the location was definitely the highlight of this home.
8.0
The house was nice for separate families as the bedrooms were nicely separated. However, must be able to go up and down stairs. The bathrooms are super small, no bigger or nicer than a motor home. It was very hard for tall and larger guests. Also, showers have no soap trays so had to put soap on the floor or toilet. There is also no dedicated parking so you are competing with everybody for parking. A few times we had to park a few blocks away. Also, seems like you should get more than two parking spaces for a 7-bedroom house. The house was clean and the kitchen well well-equipped.

House was just what we needed. It had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and the patio were really nice. The location is hard to beat. Only 3 blocks from the middle of Main St. Everything is within a short walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for a girls weekend with 14 adults and the house was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms spread around so noise didn’t carry. It’s an old b&b so everyone could have their own space and (mostly) their own bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen and the location of the house can’t be beat! Made for a perfect mountain weekend!

Perfect for a large group or multiple families. The kitchen and living room area were recently redone and are beautiful, spacious rooms for guests to gather. There is also additional seating on the massive back deck that has a view of the mountains. There are four separate bedroom areas around the house which was ideal for our group of three families. We felt like we all had some privacy, which is rare when several families stay together. The bedrooms have more of a cabin feel than the more modern kitchen/family room area, but they provide plenty of space and are all uniquely decorated with historic Breckenridge pictures. Very cool to stay in such a historic property right in the heart of town. It only takes a few minutes to walk to everything in town, but the house is two streets up from Main Street so you are removed from the hustle and bustle. The location is perfection and we look forward to staying at Abbett Placer again on our next trip to Breck!

We had several families yet it still felt spacious! Children had fun playing hide and seek in the number of rooms. Beautiful views of mountains and great patio space. Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Great location - Big house
The house is a very good option for large groups, family or friends. The kitchen is updated with enough pots and pans, cutlery, plates and dishes. Most of the rooms are large but the bathrooms are small (some of them very small). The heaters worked well (we were there for spring break and some days were very, very cold) except for one room upstairs that had an issue with the control panel. Overall, we were comfortable in the house (we were a group of 11), the location is great and the managers were very responsive to our requests.

Great for 6 adults
Excellent location…..comfortable beds…..solid kitchen…..great deck and a huge hot tub.
More than worthy of a repeat stay.

Historic Placer Cabin
The location was perfect. Close to Main Street and the free shuttle to ski area. Unusual layout for rooms, but accommodated our party of 14 perfectly. Only drawback was entry not shoveled well. We had one person on crutches due to a ski injury and entry way was treacherous for him.

Easy walk to downtown
This listing is 2 blocks away from middle of Main Street. It is a quick short walk to the local market and restaurants. There is a shuttle (Blue Line) that takes you to the ski lifts every 40 mins. If you opt to walk to the ski lift, it’s about a 15-20 mins in ski gear. What I love about the listing is the number of rooms and bathrooms it has. This listing does have a lot of stairs and tight corners, so beware if you don’t enjoy stairs.

House was great!
House was perfect for groups of friends. The floor plan was unique but worked great for our group. Greta location, walkable to so many places in Breckenridge.

Family ski trip
Great place for all 13 of us. Close to downtown and right on the blue and purple bus route. Minor thing was the snow covered/packed steps that made for an interesting slide down them. Overall a great place to stay.

Perfect for our Vacation
This house was perfect for our large group (3 families) to stay and enjoy Breckenridge. It's location is walkable to the main restaurants, coffee shops, trails, and parks. The house is huge and allowed each family privacy and space.
We loved the hot tub, the fully stocked kitchen, and the beautiful back patio with a stunning view for dinner and drinks. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Great large house
I invited my coworkers to spend a week working in Breckenridge. The house was a great place to hang out and get some work done. There was enough space to spread out and work, or get together and plan. The wifi was rock solid for all our working needs. There are so many cool parts of this house, you'll love exploring it. It is close to downtown, so once we got there we never needed to drive anywhere else. My only regret was the weather wasn't the greatest so we never got to hang out on that awesome deck.
I hope we can come back next year.

Perfection in Breckenridge
This is the perfect house in the perfect location. I rented it for a long weekend with my three kids and their spouses and three grandchildren. The space was more than adequate for us and the house was better equipped than any other house I've rented. Plus the house is located in the heart of Breckenridge and is walkable to everything there. We will definitely return.

Great location!
We loved staying right in the heart of downtown Breckenridge for our recent family ski trip! The home allowed room for each of us to gather together while also providing private space to unwind. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for a week's stay since we cooked many meals at home. The nearby shuttle stops made it convenient to get to the slopes. We had a great stay and can't wait to return!
