St. Katharine's dock is a beautiful, quiet, central place to stay. The flat is extremely clean and exactly as pictured. My entire family loved it.
4.9
Nice large Studio Flat with balcony. My wife and I needed a place to stay near our Son who have other family staying with him. The area has several restaurants and the Dickens Inn pub in the area. There is also a grocery store across the street from the Building. The flat was clean and the large bed was comfortable. The washing machine and drying racks were greatly appreciated. We would stay here again.

First, the apt location helped us be close to a relative and served us well for that. Fairly new to VRBO and not sure what windage goes with property descriptions but I found the apt ad did not reflect what we found; no comfortable seating so we resorted to the folding chairs in the apt, large area where flooring was missing, no real view of river.

Great location, comfortable for a couple, served as a great base for our London adventures.
4.9
Loved the location - easy access to subway and great food and bar locations close by. Worked fantastic for our group.

Nice place and very quiet. Grocery stores across and couple of minutes from cafes and restaurants. The place is right on the St.Katharine’s Docks.
A walking distance to the Tower of London, 3 minutes, and Tower Bridge.
Big Ben is 25 minutes walk or take your time enjoying the walk along the river Thames. Buckingham Palace, West Minister Abbey are in the walking distance. Will stay there again if we visit London again.

This is really a fantastic stay in London. I quiet and wonderful neighborhood, perfect accommodations, and an exceptional location for either a peaceful trip to London and a hectic tour of the fabulous city.

The flat is clean, cozy and comfortable. The location is excellent.

Location was really good and practical. Information given also good and the towels and bed linnen were of Hotel quality. Waitrose supermarket is across the street. Nearby Tube station is TowerHill and that is a loverly walk of about 8 minutes
Hygiene was ok but not great, Deep cleaning is needed. But floors ans surfaces where clean.
Good to realize that the flat is outdated : the kitchen floor is not fully covered with carpeting, everything is old and crooked, the doors barely close, there is a big crack in the window by the double bed and the curtains really do not block any light. The double bed is extremely soft and the sleeping couch and chairs in the living area are very firm. This, combined with the light coming in through the curtains made sleeping conditions difficult for us. Finally the Wifi signal was unstable and would be interrupted few times per hour, making it difficult to watch something.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay in Londen very much but this explains the 3 stars for the accomodation.

Perfect location to access so much of London. Not a spacious rental but perfect for two.

St.Katherine’s Docks are a great location, close to tube station and Uberboat pier and walkable to many sites and restaurants, the Thames is right there as well as a grocery just across the street. The apartment is small, but clean and well priced in a nicely kept, clean building. The host was accessible and helpful. However it is in need of a refresh as it seems to have been neglected. It appears that some work has been done on the bathroom, but a coat of paint is needed. Since there are no outlets in the bathroom it would make sense to move the mirror from the kitchen (?) into the sleeping area where the hairdryer is stored so you are not drying your hair over the kitchen sink. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and has had some work as well, but there’s a large hole in the flooring by the sink and the walls could also use some paint. The kitchen faucet splashes water on whoever is at the sink as well as the walls and anything that you might have nearby - it really needs aerator. The living area has faded furniture, lots of crooked photos and sagging curtains. The blinds in the sleeping area don’t totally operate. Paint is needed in both. The apartment is bright and well lit. Previous reviews talk about views of the marina from the bed and balcony - the only place that you can see the marina from is in the walk up to the front door. There are no views from the bed or balcony other than across the courtyard at other apartments. Those reviews must be of other units and should be removed as they are deceptive. All in all if you just want a decently priced, clean place to lay your head in a good location this place would be fine. If you want a nice, cozy place in a great location (which this could be with some paint and TLC) then you might want to look further.

Was a great overall experience.

The apartment is small and basic, but the location can’t be beat. An easy walk to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, the Uber Boat pier, and the Tower Hill underground station. It’s in a quiet area with a view of St Katherine’s Docks. There’s a Waitrose grocery store right across the street with everything one needs. The apartment is best for a couple, but we had our teenage daughter with us there for a week and it worked fine.

Perfect Location in walking distance of the important sights of London. Easy walk to Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Tower of London and so on. Easy access to tube (Tower Hill) and many bus stations. Big Waitrose supermarket across the street. The flat is exactly how it was desribed. Small (as usual in London) but nicely laid out. Only room for improvement ist the cheap and uncomfortable furniture.

Perfect Location
Wonderful experience staying at Tower Hill. Right beside Katherine’s Docks with beautiful restaurants and yachts. Very peaceful at night and accommodation was in the location we needed. Would recommend the apartment to anyone. Thanks Mike for a wonderful time. Your apartment made the trip so much better.

Wonderful stay
This is a fantastic location for accessing London. Tons of restaurants and a grocery store across the street. The hosts were great and very responsive. The flat was clean and has a great shower. The place was stocked with what we needed. We would absolutely stay here again. A nice oasis in central London. Thanks for a great stay, David, Mike, and Viv!

Booked for my parents as they were visiting from out of town (and I live nearby). The flat is perfect - clean, comfortable and bright with amazing views and in the perfect location. Really highly recommended.
4.9
Comfortable apartment with all excellent facilities; well equipped kitchen, speedy internet, clean, quit in the evenings, good twin bed.
Waitrose supermarket across the street. What more can you wish?
4.9
Excellent apartment - spotlessly clean with a breathtaking view of the Tower of London. Bed was very comfortable, wifi was fast, there was a good choice of TV channels, and there's a big Waitrose a couple of minutes walk away. Would 100% stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at Charle's place. The location on the Saint Katherine's docks is incredible. It was super easy to walk to the Tower Hill Tube Station as well as the various nice restaurants alongside the docks. The view off the balcony is really pretty, and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The check in/out system was easy as well. Would recommend it!

Located at St. Katherine Docks in East London, the apartment gave us very easy access via the Tube, while giving us a break from the hubbub of Central London. The neighborhood is delightful, immediately across a quiet road from Britain's number one grocery store, Waitrose. The ships, boats & yachts our apartment faced gave a kind of genteel calm to busy days sightseeing. Delightful restaurants & cafes are only minutes away, though we ate in 2 meals a day in since the kitchen was so well equipped & handy. The washer/dryer was especially helpful as we only had to bring 1 carry on bag each. Staying at David's apartment set up our 2 weeks in London to be a big success. Thanks so much, David, for hosting us! Debbie & Roberto

My family of four stayed for four nights and we had a great experience. Right by the docks and close to Tower Bridge and the river, it was lovely to stroll around. The apartment had everything we needed and was easy to find and use. Being across the street from Waitrose was a huge bonus as we were traveling with two weary kids Thanks, David!

Nice clean flat with modern appliances (stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer) and furniture. The balcony is a nice plus, great views of St Katharine's dock, the top of Tower Bridge and The Shard building. 5 minute walk to Tower of London and Tower Tube Station. I highly recommend taking the 10 minute walk down to the Wapping area where they have converted the old warehouses along The Thames into residences, there are several great local pubs along the road including Prospect of Whitby, The Captain Kidd and Town of Ramsgate, all are on the river. The Waitrose grocery store is across the street from the flat, and makes purchasing food and other items a breeze. Finally, David is very responsive to all questions and makes your stay as pleasant as possible. I have stayed in 2 of David's flats in this building in 2017 (May and Nov.) and will be back in 2018.

The flat is next to tower bridge, london tower and TOWER HILL( the underground station) David was very kind and easily to contact. I definately recommend you this apartment

The flat was clean and had the most amazing view of the Tower Bridge. For transportation to the other attractions we used the river boats which were convenient and less crowded than the buses. The Tower Train Station is very close as well. Best tourist attraction was the Tower of London which was an 8 minute walk from our flat! I would highly recommend this flat for a family of 3! We enjoyed walking back to the flat in the evenings on the docks after eating dinner in the local restaurants.
4.9
The location is hard to beat -- a beautiful view (as advertised) of the boats at St Katherine Dock, plus the Shard and Tower Bridge. Easy walks to public transportation (bus, tube, and DLR), the Thames, the Tower and Tower Bridge. I liked how easy it was to get to everything in central London without being in the middle of the bustle. It's also very convenient to the interesting, less touristed neighborhoods of Wapping, Shadwell, and Limehouse. The flat is in a secure building and the area feels very safe. There's a well-equipped kitchen and a full-size Waitrose grocery store right across the street. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Simon's co-host David met me when I arrived and was easy to communicate with throughout the stay. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm in London.
4.9
The one bedroom flat (shown in photos 31-40) was the perfect home base, and David was very welcoming and quick to communicate and respond. Furnishings and decor were true to the photos -- comfortable and functional (IKEA) and fast wifi. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to make meals with a convenient dishwasher to clean up. And Waitrose is literally across the street -- this is a MAJOR plus, because the flat is situated in a mostly residential area with few shops. There is also a small Tesco Express open until midnight, and 5-6 restaurants conveniently situated around St Katharine's Docks. We can highly recommend the Captain Kidd pub in Wapping.
The clothes washer/dryer allowed us to pack light. The bathroom was a comfortable size with a good shower head and water pressure, all the soaps and shampoos you might need, as well as large fluffy towels. The bedroom was quiet with blinds to keep the room dark, though the view from the bedroom windows is spectacular! Lying in bed one night, I watched a gorgeous full moon rise over the Tower Bridge and cross the sky over the marina. The living room has a similar spectacular view with door out to the balcony. The footpath below is a public walkway. The flat is subject to the normal sounds of the city -- traffic, construction, voices, neighbors -- but quiet through the wee hours.
Access to a variety of transport is as described: Tower Hill (Circle/District and DLR), bus, cycle share, water taxi. More often, we set out on foot in every direction: along the Thames Path east to Canary Warf and west along the north bank and south bank. It was our mission to visit every riverside pub in Central London! We chose the flat for its location to explore the east end of London. It was the perfect home base for two weeks, especially as we enjoyed unusually bright sunny skies and summer-like temperatures in February!

This property is in a beautiful location! Right next to the Tower of London, and yet still tucked away in a quiet, private area. The property was incredibly clean (we didn’t see a single bug in two weeks), and David always responded to questions within minutes. I never write online reviews, but I could not resist posting a rave for this property.
4.9
Very basic furnishings, but clean, comfortable and stocked with all you need. Nice, peaceful view in spite of being in the heart of the City. Fairly close to Tower Hill Tube station, and across the street from a deli, dry cleaners and a grocery store.

We have rented various apartments in various locations throughout London - often trying new neighborhoods to experience more that each place has to offer. Well, we have found our perfect spot for all London visits! The apartment was perfect for a couple. Comfy bed, well-stocked kitchen, adequate bathroom, nice living area and dining table leading out to a small deck overlooking the harbor at St. Katharine Docks with Tower Bridge and the Shard in the background. Stunning view! The apartment was clean and secure as was the surrounding area. Huge bonus for a large Waitrose grocery store 30 steps from the ground floor! Late dinners after a day of wandering was a breeze to shop and prepare. Very convenient to bus lines and Tower Hill tube stop. We are not the type of couple that look for things to complain about, but upon pondering this apartment after our stay we were happily able to say that we can not think OF ANY ONE PARTICULAR THING that could have made this stay better!!!!! (Except the weather!)We will definitely return!

We stayed 4 nights in David's one bedroom flat. It was clean and very well supplied. There are many options for dining within easy walking distance, a large grocery store right across the street, and very good access (a five minute walk) to Tower Hill Underground station, Tower Gateway, the eastern most stops for the HOHO buses AND the Tower Hill Pier. Coming home to this lovely, tranquil setting each night after a busy day of sightseeing was so relaxing. We would definitely recommend this flat, and hope we'll get back to London someday to make use of it again ourselves.

What a gem tucked away in the shadow of Tower Bridge. Clean, safe, we’ll stocked apartment with easy access to the Underground. Grocery, cleaners, deli, barber across the street. Lots of restaurants inside St Katherine Docks.
