Great house in a secluded setting still close to everything. 5 stars!

We enjoyed our stay with a few hiccups. It was spacious and pretty set in the woods. The bridge leading to the driveway was a little scary at first. We went to the nearby Walmart to get groceries so we could cook while there. The grill outside looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time and the utensils next to it were all dirty and full of spiderwebs so we did not grill out the burgers we bought. There was no cookie sheet or pan to make our fries so we had to use tin foil and had to use tin foil for our pizza as there was a pizza pan but it was too big to fit in the oven. There was a tv in the main bedroom but it did not work. We killed 12 bugs during our five day stay. I know it is set in a woodsy area but that was a little much. The water pressure in the main bathroom shower upstairs was not great.

Property was exactly as represented; wonderful view from living room. Kitchen was well stocked and property was very clean.
We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it highly.

Property has an amazing beautiful yard. Very secluded and a little stream running through it.
Very quiet and relaxing. The house is very unique with abundant glass giving expansive views of the yard. The furnishings are comfortable with very nicely clean and new bathrooms. Bedrooms are comfortable and the beds are super comfortable
I would highly recommend this property that is only minutes from the heart of DC.
The thing i would improve would be newer gas grill on the deck

We loved staying here. The property is beautiful and we did not know a place like this could exist this close to DC. Kids had a blast. Owner is very responsive.

My husband and I needed a place to stay in Mclean while our kitchen floors were refinished and Ranleigh Retreat was within a few miles of our house. Communication with the owner was easy and the house was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen which was a welcome surprise. The house is older, rustic, and located near Pimmit Run. The road leading to the house is wide enough for one vehicle and the bridge is rather narrow. That said, we had no issues getting to the property. We had a good stay and I appreciate the excellent communication with the owner.

We visited DC for a few days and this house was in a great spot to be close enough to all of the sights in DC but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet with a great yard for our dog to enjoy. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and my teen daughter appreciated having her own private bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was good. Well Stocked. Lot of trees and the the backyard was beautiful

Stayed a week in Gettysburg then traveled to McLean for a week to be near the DC area. Short convenient drives to Arlington, Steven F Udvar-Hazy Museum and the DC area. Beautiful home tucked away in the woods. Home completely stocked with essentials and then some! Great place. Enjoyed our stay!

Good location, slightly off the beaten path. Plenty of room, bridge and driveway slightly intimidating at first, but you figure it out and it is a very nice place.

Perfect place to stay in order to enjoy all the Nation's Capital has to offer. Private, scenic, yet, somehow, in the heart of everything. Cam did a great job with outline the check-in and check-out process. As well as, was always available for questions and help. Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this property. The home is located over a private bridge on an acre property. Check-in was flawless. The home was super clean. The house is a large ranch with plenty of room for family and entertaining friends. The deck is big and is located right off of the kitchen so it's easy to eat dinner outside. The home is very comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has high end appliances and the washer and dryer downstairs are new and large. The house is located close to many DC and Virginia attractions and neighborhoods. .

We spent a week here and it was wonderful. The house is beautiful and so is the landscape. We woke up every morning to deer and even a fox in the yard. There is no fence in the yard and pretty steep drop offs around the property so be mindful of children and pets. Otherwise it was a great stay. We would love to stay again!

Cameron was communicative and accommodating for our trip. The place was as promised, and the kitchen was pretty well-stocked. The location is fantastic, very private but still close enough to things to do.

Home is located in a beautiful area in the woods with views in every room. Lots of open space inside and out with a cabin-like feel. Owner was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. We were comfortable with our family there and the location is close to the airport and other amenities.

Near DC and Tyson’s Corner. Very responsive host. Clean and spacious. Extremely comfortable primary bedroom. Great, large yard for dogs to run around.

Peaceful, natural setting close to everything.
This home was the perfect setting for me and my family to stay while we were in town for my husband's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The location was perfect because it is close to Dulles (picking up/dropping off family members flying in for the service) and the cemetery. The house is comfortable and spacious making it perfect for a gathering after the service. I couldn't have asked for better.

The location is ideal! It is secluded and quiet, yet close to amenities. The house is immaculate and stocked with every day items (including clothes hangers and any type of kitchen utensil you might need) that makes the stay comfortable and easy. The top-notch sheets and plush, over-size towels are just an example of the owner going the extra mile to make our stay so comfortable! It is a perfect house to enjoy for short term or long term. We will definitely stay here again!!

Don't be scared by the narrow, twisty, confusing (at first) road to get there. At the end, at the top of the hill, is a comfortable 3-bedroom / 4 bathroom home with plenty of room for an extended family. The kitchen is well-equipped and the furniture is casual / comfortable. The setting is absolutely bucolic -- we saw deer and a fox cross the back yard. The location is 3 minutes away from a wonderful children's park (Clemyjontri Park) and has easy access to the George Washington Parkway. Visiting family in McLean for the holidays, it was ideal for us.

Can’t beat the location!
Cam’s place was at an ideal location for our DC vacation. Easy to hop on and off the GW Parkway. The house also has a great view with a wooded backyard. It had everything we needed!

Stayed for a week with my wife to recharge before the start of our busy season and it did not disappoint. The place was beautiful and quiet. Lots of outdoor sitting/play space for us and our dog. It has everything we needed to recharge and more. Cam was very communicative and gave great advice. The master bed was comfortable. We look forward to staying again in the future.

We loved our stay! The house was very spacious with unique charm. The house is very secluded with a large, lush yard. There are huge windows looking out to woods/creek. The deck is large with a lovely view. The bedrooms were large and with nice decor. There is a beautiful fireplace and a large eating area with great views out the front of the property. The location is secluded, but it was easy to get into town. There is a metro station about 10 minutes drive and there are stores nearby. The owner answered the phone when we had questions and was very helpful. Our only concerns were that you have to cross a one lane concrete bridge to get to the property. This is no issue with good weather but I would definitely not want to cross it if there is snow or during a downpour. We also had some issues with the appliances- they work well, but are tricky to operate. We would also recommend putting in a simple coffee maker as the current set up is quite cumbersome.

This was a family get together (California, Atlanta and Savannah, GA) to visit a brother who lives in the area. The house was centrally located yet you felt very removed from the hustle.
The house was well stocked and we had everything we needed. The master bedroom has a Jack & Jill bath with another bedroom. One bedroom has its own en-suite bath, another bath in the walk out lower level and a half bath conveniently located on the main level.
If you want to have a fire there was plenty of firewood, we had a fire one night in the outdoor fire pit.
We would definitely stay here again, you won’t be disappointed.
(We’ve rented VRBO/AirB&B in Europe and coast to coast in the US)

What a great secluded spot, all within miles of the DC Attractions. Our two little ones loved visiting the stream every morning and looking for deer and cardinals. The back deck was such a treat and perfect for outdoor dining in the nice weather. Location of the house was so convenient to numerous playgrounds, Great Falls National Park, & lots of yummy restaurants (that all offered curbside pick up!). We will be back!

Wonderful Private Retreat
We spent 3 weeks quarantining in preparation for the arrival of our first grandchild and we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations.
The home is a little older but with tremendous character and comfort. Huge picture windows in the main living area look out over an idyllic forested area with a creek running below. Beautiful - and great wildlife sightings. Great hiking too. Although the home is centrally located in a major metropolitan area, it was like having our own private retreat. Nearby houses were mostly hidden by surrounding trees.
The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you could possibly need. The living room has comfortable furnishings, the bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable. The master bedroom and one other bedroom have en-suite baths. And another full bath is downstairs.
Cam was an outstanding host. He went over everything with us and left a great guide to the house and to surrounding shops/restaurants/sights. He frequently checked in by text to make sure everything was fine. He responded quickly to the few questions we had. He is a super-super host in our minds.
Cam’s home is a fantastic place to stay. We highly recommend it and we definitely will be staying there again in the future.
