About this house rental
This cottage at Georgetown Lake has it all! Spectacular views from the lake, walking distance to the water, trails for ATV, dirt bikes, snowmobiling, and hiking right out the front door, 15 minutes from Discovery Ski Area, as well as a short drive (20 minutes) to Philipsburg and Anaconda (including Fairmont Hot Springs) make this place a year-around destination.
During the summer, go ATV, dirt bike riding, or hiking right from the house, have a bonfire in the fire pit, go mountain biking, play golf in Anaconda, enjoy the lake by fishing, boating, and swimming, or just relax and take in the views. With spectacular views of the water and forest, trails right out the front door, it being less than a 5-minute drive away from the local marina, it is the perfect location for summer fun! During the winter, enjoy ice fishing, skiing at Discovery Ski Area, snowmobiling, sledding, cross country skiing, or just playing games by the fire. Snowmobiling, sledding, and cross-country skiing can happen right from the house. Also, we have a two car garage to store your toys, no matter the season.
This cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace (and amazing views of the lake), dining area, equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, nice deck overlooking the lake, over an acre of land around it for play, gazebo, and garage. With lots of toys, games, and movies, this is the perfect location for a family get-away with one or two families, or a weekend retreat for couples. It is located in the Edwards Tract neighborhood, very near several other VRBO rental houses, so there is the potential to rent multiple locations for family reunions or weekends of fun with friends. Contact me for suggestions of houses that are close to ours. This is a pet-friendly cottage, so for a small pet fee, feel free to bring your well-behaved fur babies along.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, built-in bunkbeds, a desk, plenty of storage, and room for a Pack 'n Play crib (provided), if needed. This bedroom is super quiet! The second bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, storage, room for the Pack 'n Play crib (if needed), view of the lake and forest, and comfy chair to relax in. Both bathrooms include sinks, toilets, storage space, and showers/bathtubs. A washer and drier are included next to one of the bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with a large refrigerator and freezer. We have fast internet, a Bluetooth speaker system, and TV with all the bells and whistles. The garage is a very spacious two-car garage to store your toys, no matter the season. The deck has a charcoal BBQ, "party lights" to light up the night, and plenty of room to relax and soak in the view.
This house is a single floor house, with a ramp up to the front door, which makes it very accessible. Though this house is easy to get to with plowed roads and driveway, we do recommend a car with 4-wheel drive or snow tires during the winter, just to be safe.

My husband and I just loved our stay at the Georgetown Lake Lookout!! The views were amazing and the property had more than enough space for the two us and our pup! We loved the proximity to trails and the water. The neighborbood was very quiet and peaceful. We definitely recommend anyone stay here!

This cozy property was situated on a hillside and the picture windows in the living room allowed a beautiful view of the lake and the light as the sun came up and went down.
It is close in proximity to Discovery ski area and not too far from our family in the next town over.
Although the snow conditions weren’t ideal this year, we did enjoy using the wood fireplace, (lots of wood to burn right there on the hearth and more close by, on the amazing deck) playing cards and dice and we even took the short drive over to Butte for a tour of the Copper King Mansion.
The hosts were very easy to communicate with. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen.
There was even a complimentary bottle of wine! Thank you, Jon and Whitney!

Absolutely a perfect place to spend your getaway. Beautiful views of Georgetown Lake from the porch as well as a second deck under a roof, and it faces SW for great sunsets. Beds were very comfortable. There's a fireplace inside and a fire ring outside and lots of firewood provided. Loved our stay!

The location and views were amazing. We appreciated the easy communication with the hosts. They even let us in a bit early when we arrived early on a rainy day! This is our second trip to the Georgetown Lake Overlook and it was great. We had to change dates as I was called for jury duty. Owners were understanding and accommodating. And what luck, the weather was accommodating too! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are dated but in very good condition. I like the retro feel.

Great place. Exactly as advertised. The only knock would be that the road to get to it was absolutely impassable in a regular vehicle. Had I not had my side by side ATV with me, we would not have been able to even get to the home. A little warning to renters this time of year would be helpful.

We had a wonderful weekend, and this was by far the easiest rental that I've scheduled. In typical Montana fashion, we got to experience 3 different seasons in 48 hours (showed up in shorts, left in snow gear). The kids had a blast playing in the snow, then warming up by the fireplace. Even had moose in the yard on our last day. Was also wonderful to have a great kitchen to stay in and cook. Would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time on our second annual stay at Georgetown Lake. The house was great and very comfortable. One morning we were treated to a moose walking on the road just behind the house. Moose Marina was great to have so close for our recreation needs and the view of the lake from the deck was fantastic. Great place to stay!!

This property was very comfortable. The view was outstanding. The owners were delightful. We loved that there was a scope there for us to see the moose that wade in the lake. We also experienced 2 bucks sparring right in the yard. It was a unique experience.

Terrific Cottage
Everything about this cottage is comfortable and the yard is very pet friendly. Stunning view of the Lake. A Great Grey Owl was spotted hunting in the yard - really cool. Anything we needed was provided and the "binder" has great suggestions for activities . Wish we could have stayed longer.

Stay on Georgetown Lake
This home sits just above Georgetown Lake. The window and deck are set perfectly to catch the lake at sunset. We also were able to watch a barn owl and a fishing eagle. The view was always beautiful! In addition, it is close to many sites of the area. We were happy to have a less than 10 minute drive to Discovery Ski resort.
The residence itself had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. Two bathrooms and bedrooms, a laundry room, an ample stash of games and dvds (we didn't have need of them, but there are toys and books for children as well.), along with a fully equipped kitchen worked well for us, but the fireplace made it all the more cozy. It also has a two-car garage and an outdoor grill.
If given the opportunity, we will definitely look into renting this place again.

Perfect Getaway
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Georgetown Lake Lookout. The house is clean and cosy. Discovery's ski hills are close, the backyard is great for fun sledding, and the neighborhood is lovely. And the view from the house is stunning. I will remember my perfect, snugly mornings drinking coffee by the fire, gazing at the sun rising on a beautiful snow covered lake. We hope to stay there again!

Perfect Spot
Everything about this property was great! The location was quiet, right near the lake and a short drive from the skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a family of 5 (large pots and pans and plenty of dishes). But the absolute best part of the stay was our host! She was extremely accommodating and responsive. She helped us before the trip with information to plan activities, she was flexible with us when our flight was canceled, and she answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly.

We had the misfortune of frigid temperatures, but that didn't spoil our fun. The house was the perfect getaway for us and our kids are well as our friends. We played games, watched movies, ate fabulous meals... Not to mention the best sledding hill right in the back yard. We will definitely be back!

Property was absolutely perfect. Clean, quiet, and great location. We enjoyed our stay and the amenities the property provided were awesome including great kids toys, the Blackstone Grill, garage, and being pet friendly. We've rented a few different places on Georgetown Lake, and this was the best one, by far.
