This is our second visit to Key Lime and we just love it!
The house is pretty and has a nice gazebo where you can view the water and drink your coffee. Then walk down to the beach in one second. Valerie the owner makes sure you have everything you need. Perfect place to stay for a group of four or small family. You will experience the most beautiful blue water you have ever seen!

The day before we were supposed to go and stay for our eight day vacation tropical storm Debbie came through and the host refused to let us reschedule unless it was within two weeks, which we could not get the time off work and refuse to refund us our money. We would’ve been OK going in October November she stated no I think that is ridiculous to have to pay almost $7000, when an active God passes, I say shame on her and shame on Expedia. We are still fighting it.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Key Lime Cottage! The location was unbeatable - right on the beach with a fantastic covered deck overlooking the ocean. We spent countless hours relaxing there, enjoying the views and the sound of the waves. The cottage itself was charming and fit perfectly with the beach vibe. The appliances were all modern and up-to-date, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
Valerie and Pierre were perfect hosts. They were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation.
We are already looking forward to booking another stay at Key Lime Cottage! We can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable beach getaway.

Pictures don't do it justice. The view from the gazebo is paradise! The property is just as described. Valerie was so responsive with anything we needed. 100% recommend a stay at this property or the new one next door. We had a tour of the new home and it is gorgeous!

Our family enjoyed a great time of sun, fun, and relaxation! It was our second time staying at Key Lime Cottage. Our host was super helpful …and the view and access to the beach and beautiful water can’t be beat!

We loved the house and the location on the beach. The house was much more spacious than we expected given it is only two bedrooms, and the second bedroom was plenty big enough for our two teens.
Tropic of Cancer Beach is beautiful, and our stay was very relaxing.

We arrived from Eleuthera for the men to go bone fishing. Which was a success for them with a few caught.
The house was beautiful and modern. Learned the property was off grid with water and electricity, very interesting both worked very well.
The Tropic of Cancer beach had exquisite shades of blue. The beach populated during the day but had it to ourselves in the late afternoon.
The roads are not great in Little Exuma but loved Santanna’s beach bar and grill.

Everything was perfect. The ideal house in the ideal location with amazing hosts (Valerie and her family). Wake-up and you are steps away from the bluest and clearest water you will ever see. We love this place!

The house was perfect for our family of four (parents and 2 teenagers). The location can’t be beat - right on Tropic of Cancer beach. The house had all the amenities we needed, including a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed grilling out and also having coffee on the pavilion looking out at the most beautiful water! Great home and we would definitely stay again!

Everything about this property is AMAZING!!! Valerie is very accommodating, responsive and went above and beyond for us when our flight was delayed! The beach is STUNNING! The white sand is powder soft, the water is calm, clear and the prettiest turquoise color you have ever seen. Nice snorkeling just out to the right, the paddle board was super fun to explore the 2 islands out front and there's kayaks as well. The house is updated and spotless! There's a well stocked kitchen, very nice quality linens and nice furnishings. I would recommend renting a Jeep or taller vehicle to get around because the road to Tropic of Cancer Beach is quite rough. We will hopefully get to return soon!! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Key Lime Cottage was exactly what we expected in a beachfront property. Steps away from a beautiful beach (Tropic of Cancer Beach) with no rocks and nothing but the bluest water you’ve ever seen. Plenty of beach toys to choose from for playing in the water. In the house, there’s plenty of room for a family of four. The beds were very comfortable and the accommodations were perfect. You can easily cook every meal in the kitchen or grill outside and/or go out to eat when you want. Valerie and her husband Pierre are wonderful hosts and we certainly appreciated the hospitality!

This was one of the best family vacations we have experienced! Once you get to the beautiful Villa on Tropic of Cancer Beach all you need is your food provisions and your bathing suit. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking and literally the most beautiful beach in the world. Don’t miss stopping by the food hut located near the main beach entrance where Jackie and Sandy will serve you awesome drinks, burgers and the best hotdog ever! Great host! Great accommodations! Great setting! We hope to come back many times again!

We were very impressed with the property and could not have asked for a better location and experience for our first time in Exuma. We couldn't recommend this location and property enough.
8.0 / 10.0
This property had the best WiFi we have had in all our stays on the Exuma Islands (satellite). Solar works reliably; water runs very slow and is sparse; we were told this would change when the new construction next door is complete. In the meantime all cooking and drinking H2O needs to be carried in and filled by hand to the refrigerator supply of filtered water.
Prior guests reviews: yes, limited supply of coffee cups (4); coffee maker only makes 4 cups at a time; we could have used a 12 cup coffee maker (USA coffee drinking habits).
Cameras: 1 in the garage overlooking W/D, one fish eye by weather instrumentation mounted by oceanfront cabana, one from owners house directed at rental property patio & new construction site. One on front patio covered with blue painting tape; assumed inoperable.
New construction next door seems inordinately close; approximately 50% of the forward facing view towards the ocean will be obstructed.
Comfortable furnishings, towels & linens are minimal; we refreshed all several times during stay.
Beach is relatively uncrowded and a “10” for being picturesque.

Absolutely beautiful ocean view from gazebo. Perfect turquois waters... Friendly hosts, and always available to assist. Very clean which i LOVE! Just too many cameras for our liking. I understand why they are in place but definitely invades the privacy and reason why we got away. Felt we were being watched all the time..so rated 4 for this reason.

The cottage was really more like a home, the space was comfortable and eveything was updated with nice appliances and furniture. Pluses were the comfortable beds, the area with the folding chairs, the gazebo overlooking the ocean, the relatively private beach, the access to paddle boards, kayaks, and the beach was very walkable and scenic. Also, Valerie was wonderful and very gracious and responsive. The minuses were the bugs when the sun went down (make certain all doors are completely closed at night), the extremely bumpy roads, splinters on the deck, and there is a new house going up literally 30 feet from this house (our hosts were very gracious in scheduling workers around our time), but there will be less privacy once that house goes up. Overall, this was a very nice property, very quiet, very private, the beach was very nice, and you can snorkel right off the beach and around the islands nearby.
10.0 / 10.0
We had an amazing time at the Key Lime cottage. It is further from town but we had the beach pretty much to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet. The home is very nice and comfortable and when we had issues (with water pressure) Valerie was there to check it out and give updates. You will want to stop in town at the market to get some groceries as you do not have many options for restaurants on that side of the island and Georgetown is a good 35 to 40 minute drive. Take lots of bug spray! We would definitely stay at this location again.

My wife and I stayed 7 nights. The road is a little rough, but we had a rental car and went slow and had no problems. The house is very beautiful and we loved setting out on the covered deck by the beach every morning and drink our coffee. The coffee maker is small, one full pot only makes 2 cups. Everything was perfect!! Beds are very comfortable too!!

Valerie is extremely helpful and this is a beautiful cottage. It has plenty of space for a family of four, a well stocked kitchen (be sure to ask what condiments are already there before you go to the store!). The Tropic of Cancer beach is one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean, and Valerie's property is at the far end, where almost no visitors venture, so it's very much like having a private beach. Great Exuma is a relatively undeveloped island and Little Exuma even less so, very few street lights, bumpy roads, etc., and you'll need to rent a car. But it's absolutely beautiful. The photos don't do it justice.

Everything about the property is clean and in order, exactly as described. The beach is beautiful and tranquil. The location is great. The beds are clean and comfy with quality linens. The property is well appointed with high end finishes, and everything functioned well during our stay. There are plenty of extras including snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards, floaties ect that make enjoying the water a breeze vs the hassle of traveling with such items. The no see ums are worth noting. We did not expect so many on the Atlantic side of the island, but they were heavy in the morning and evening. Bring your bug spray! On check out day the cleaning staff helped us to avoid potential disaster by finding our passports which we had left behind and racing down the road to deliver them to us, total life saver!!!
If privacy and solitude is part of what you seek, it’s worth noting that this home is less private than we would have preferred. There are also a couple of unmentioned cameras around the property.

Three friends & I rented this beautiful house. It was clean, spacious and in an awesome location on the prettiest beach we’ve ever seen. We were met by Marissa, the house manager, who was gracious enough to let us check in early. She oriented us to the house & gave great recommendations for the week. The house has a nice layout with plenty of room to relax at the end of the day. The beds were comfy & the kitchen was well appointed for all of our needs. FYI, if you are a big coffee drinker bring some mugs bc there’s were not enough for 4 people. This would not deter us from renting again, but we did have some issues with the plumbing & water pressure during our stay. However, Marissa & Pierre were very responsive when we needed them.
The cabana is a wonderful spot to hang out and gaze at the glowing turquoise waters. The paddle boards, kayaks, floats & snorkel gear made our stay even better. The water is warm, calm & perfect for all of these things. One of our favorite activities was kayaking to the private island across the way & snorkeling. The fish & coral were beautiful! The water is sparkling clear like God’s natural swimming pool. We had the beach & ocean basically to ourselves all week.
We enjoyed evening walks on the beach to Brea’s cool little bar. And highly recommend Mom’s bakery for pineapple upside down cake & rum cake. We loved Santana’s for the fried grouper, delicious drinks, incredible views & 2 lemon shark sightings!
The bugs in October are off the chain and will eat you alive. Thankfully bug spray does the trick and is a must.
We rented a Corolla which was adequate for our stay even with the bumpy roads leading up to the house. Driving on the left side of the road but the right side of the car is the quite the experience! But you learn quickly.
It was a dream vacation. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Just amazing.
Tips for a great stay:
-bring cash & know prices are high
-pack as many snacks & dried goods as you can
-a car is a must for exploring the island
-places aren’t always open when they say they’ll be
-pack lightly clothes wise bc you’ll be in a bathing suit all day

The pics do not do it t justice, absolutely stunning! Valerie and Pierre were amazing and the cottage has everything you need for your stay. The grounds were beautiful and the beach, well, it’s Tropic of Cancer and it quiet and stunning! We loved being down in Little Exuma and the jeep we rented was perfect for the rough roads… made you feel like you were on a safari! We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you again Valerie and Pierre, I have found my home away from home.

Greatest Place Ever!
Trip 6/10/22 - 6/17/22 - If I could give Key Lime Cottage 100 stars, I would This place was perfect. The house was lovely. The furniture was very comfortable. Pierre and MiMi were DELIGHTS (Valerie was out of town). The absolute best part of the trip was Tropic of Cancer Beach. It was gorgeous, and most of the time we were the only people on the beach. We just got home yesterday and are already planning to return. We look forward to meeting Valerie next time.

Paradise at your fingertips
I can’t speak highly enough about this property. Not only is it perfectly situated at the end of arguably the most beautiful beach on the island, but the hosts were helpful, gracious and full of information and good advice. We definitely plan on coming back, and when we do we fully intend on staying at the Key Lime Cottage again.

Your Private Paradise!
The photos just don't do the beauty of this place justice! The quiet location is on a secluded corner of one the best beaches on the planet. It felt like our own personal paradise. We had the entire side of the beach and the water to ourselves. I think we took the same photo from the gazebo 100 different times because the view was just too gorgeous to believe. The house is a luxury beach cottage with a perfectly manicured backyard of gorgeous palm trees that lead to the gazebo, which leads to a gorgeous beach. I could have stayed here forever! Valerie is incredibly communicative and helpful - we will definitely be back. Could not recommend it more. This is a jewel.

Personal Private Retreat That Doesn't Break the Budget!
One of the primary features that drew us to this property was the allure of avoiding crowds and enjoying one of the most beautiful beaches in the world in the privacy and convenience of our own backyard. Key Lime Cottage did not disappoint! We spent the majority of our time in the water or in the shade of the palapa enjoying the unbelievable view. As other reviews have mentioned, the house and the amenities are exactly as pictured. The cottage came equipped with everything we needed. My husband and I traveled with our daughter (15 yrs) and our son (13 yrs). We all enjoyed using the paddleboards and kayaks to travel to the nearby islands where we snorkeled and saw plenty of fish and a 5' stingray. The kids liked taking a short walk down the beach to the "snack shack" at the entrance to Tropic of Cancer beach. Pierre and Valerie are amazing hosts and clearly have a passion for the island and it's surrounding beauty. Highly recommend!

Paradise!
This property was very nice and comfortable for our family of 4. The location is very private. The homeowner lives next door and is very helpful with anything you need. We made most of our meals at home and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beach is pristine and the water is the most beautiful we've ever seen. We enjoyed the peace and quiet although there is some construction happening currently next door so that was a little noisy but once that house is complete (very soon) it should be back to being very peaceful. The first half of our trip was quite windy but it calmed down by the end and we used the kayaks and paddleboards a lot to explore the beautiful water. The road to the house is very rough and you need to travel carefully so you don't end up with a flat tire! But it's not too long and once you arrive at the property it is worth it! We loved Little Exuma and Tropic of Cancer Beach and hope to be back again soon! Thank you Valerie and Pierre for sharing your home with us!

Perfection
We absolutely loved Key Lime Cottage, Tropic of Cancer beach, and Valerie was the perfect host. The cottage is on the same property as their main house, but we really never saw them. Nonetheless, when we had a question Valerie was immediately available. It was the perfect blend of privacy and attentiveness. The beach is, in a word, perfection. When you fly into Exuma, it's best to rent a car big enough for your luggage and a good haul of groceries, because the house is 30 minutes from Georgetown and you won't want to have to turn around and go back for groceries. The grocery store doesn't have bags (except small cloth ones you pay for) so pack some re-usable bags for your first grocery shop. We happened to have a lightweight duffel bag we'd packed in case our luggage was overweight. We used that for the groceries, but if/when we go again, I'll pack a handful of re-usable bags for that first shop. The kitchen is a dream to cook in. The house has everything you could need or want. I still can't believe how lucky we were to pick such a perfect home/beach. We will be back!!
