We loved the property and being on the water. The house was perfect for us to spend the day exploring and come back and relax outside. The property had its quirks but it was clean and was exactly what we needed. Overall it was a good experience and a good value.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful location on the bay and the activities shed was a great addition. Emily was very easy to communicate with and even accommodated an extra hour extension which we greatly appreciated. I would say with the cleaning fee being so high, I expected the location to be a bit cleaner and updated than what it was.

We were shocked that we were charged 200 in " cleaning fees" is outrageous. Smelled of dog and place was covered on outside with cob webs dead bugs etc. Floor in bathroom had piece of floor missing almost cut toe had to wear socks all the time. I could go on but the most outrageous part of the whole mess was we were expected to clean grill if used, provide own wood for fire pit, buy gas for grill if used, take trash out etc.basically every thing but clean floors bathroom. Will never ever do buisness with these folks. It seems all the care about is making $ and not giving a care about hospitality or providing a stress free enjoyable time. Forgot to mention as soon as we showed up the idiot neighbor decided to mow lawn in the rain. If you are looking for a stress free clean professionally maintained place to stay do stay here unless you love to pay an outrageous amount of money to clean a place. Not shat i wanted Or expected. To owner, you may want a pro to remodel next time it was obvious many things were done by amateurs.

We found this gem on the water and had 3 couples staying just for one night. The place was everything we needed and oh my, the views! Plenty of adventure activities available like kayaks, bikes and inside stuff like board games and cards.
We brought our own firewood (recommend) and had a great relaxing evening around the fire.

My friends and I booked a short weekend stay at this cabin - there were plenty of bedrooms for all 6 of us and the common space was perfect for playing tabletop games and hanging out. We shared lots of laughs and good food :) check-in/check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow! We especially loved the bonfire pit and how the lake was in our backyard. It was such a cozy weekend for us!

We have been staying here for three years. It has been a great place to meet friends and family that we don’t see regularly. With it right on the water and stocked with kayaks and other water toys, all we have to do is invite the friends and family. Plenty to entertain our guests with right there. Some stayed for the day and some stayed for a night or two. Great way to visit - sitting in a kayak or on the edge of the water talking. House is super clean and well-stocked. Moreover, it is decorated so cute and airy without carpet or a lot of clutter. So easy for us to wipe things down and sweep floor after people in and out on the water all day. Number of beds is maximized with the cute bunk bed room and even futon in living room. Emily is so responsive and friendly. We have stayed at other places in other parts of the country, and she is our favorite host!

My family of six stayed here comfortably! One bathroom but aware of that!
Was warned about lake flies & there were! But enjoyed being on the water & having backyard fires & enjoying the beautiful view!
The bikes & kayaks were super fun & going to snake island! Bring your water shoes-lots of shells & they are sharp!
Our dog came along & had an amazing time also!
Good location outside of town but short drive to town!
Overall would recommend & would love to stay again when coming to Sturgeon Bay Area!

Perfect spot for enjoying beautiful water views, and sunsets with my adult kids. Place was very comfortable for preparing a large dinner. We enjoyed the large outdoor porch and the fire pit as well as the kayaks. Very nice to be able to bring my dog. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed more than most places.

We did have a nice vacation, however, we were extremely disappointed that the dock was not out. My husband wanted to fish so we had to find other spots. That was part of the reason we wanted to stay at the house. We can also tell the house is in desperate need of repair. The floor is uneven and the ceiling is sagging really bad. I feel the cost was way to expensive without the dock and with the house in the shape it is.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at this cute little cottage! Our family of 5 enjoyed the stay comfortably, with views of the lake right in our backyard, and access to all outdoor equipment to make our mini-getaway fun, such as bikes, snow gear, etc. The host Emily was such a wonderful host. She was pleasant to work with, and prompt on addressing any questions we had. Our home away from home was fully stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely come back to stay in this cottage or at any of the other properties during the summer. Our girls for sure made wonderful memories here at Sturgeon Bay!

While the cottage appeared well equipped on the vrbo site, a few essential things had been overlooked. The interior and exterior were not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. It appeared to be the bug season because you see a storm of dead bugs stuck on the windows. They somehow find a way into the cottage no matter how careful you are with keeping everything closed and dimming lights etc. Overall, the interior was comfy with the exception of the bed mattress which had dips in it. My hubby and I are no longer in our 20s so we woke every morning feeling a little stiffness no matter where on the mattress we slept. Also, I had to cover up from head to toe to avoid the bug bites but my hubby was not so lucky. Lastly, we quickly realized that this time of year would prevent us from fully enjoying all of the outdoor amenities. The grounds out back by the bay were covered in shells and had a strong fish odor everywhere you walked along the grassy back area. The back deck was very weathered and with all the bugs it was a shame we couldn't enjoy sitting out there.
So we ventured out and drove to their downtown to find food but found that most of their businesses and restaurants were closed for one reason or another. We found a small health food market and it had everything we needed to cook most of our meals. All in all, we managed to make the best of it for my hubby's bday getaway. It was quiet, the view of the bay was beautiful, we enjoyed a nice walk down a trail and that the dock was still up when we arrived that evening. It's too bad they came and took it down the next morning.

Peaceful Fall Getaway
Adventure Cottage is well appointed--linens, kitchen supplies, games, etc. Because of weather we weren't able to kayak or bike, but took advantage of relaxing in the chairs by the bay as the sun went down. It was a great spot to recharge our batteries and visit our favorite Door County places and parks. King bed was comfy!

great relaxing family stay
We stayed at the Adventure Cottage for a week in September with our adult children. This trip was mostly to relax and hang out as we had not all been together in almost 2 years. The setting on the water is beautiful. We used the kayaks and fishing equipment from the garage a lot, made meals together and had some fires in the evening. Visited some of our favorite sites from previous trips to Door Cty. The cottage was well-equipped for our needs; we used the air conditioning a bit on some of the humid nights. The wifi was good, which was important to the kids. The management company was responsive, when I told them we were having issues with the coffee maker they brought us a new one. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and enjoy some peace and quiet.

An adventure getaway
The Adventure Cottage was the perfect place to stay while in door county. My larger family group really enjoyed making use of the space, They have done an amazing job to make the cabin open and welcoming with thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. We enjoyed gathering around the campfires with the Adirondack chairs. Early mornings getting up and using the kayaks for all who wanted to join in. Lastly, great place to make the short day trip exscursions into door county. It was a fabulous Wisconsin getaway.

Family Staycation for Mother's Day Weekend
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this adorable cottage! As a family, we have never been to Door County so we decided to stay the weekend to enjoy Mother's day with our mom. She requested that we find a place to be right on the water. Boy we found it! The photos don't even do the view justice!
Not only is it right on the water, but the amenities they provide and the Adventure Shed that the offer gives you so many options to enjoy the outdoors as a family.
Tony & Cara were super responsive to all of our inquiries prior to our stay and the cottage is literally equipped with everything from coffee maker (and coffee!) to towels (and shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom!).
Our family of 7 adults had a great time and are already checking when we can come right back!

Mixed feelings
I felt uneasy that the owners do not seem to change the code on the combo lock between renters. This became apparent to me after arrival when I saw the pre printed welcome binder at the house that showed the same combo I was given for my entry. Isn’t that a potential danger to reuse that combo? Any prior renter could easily break in. Also I understand I need to sanitize my own dishes and utensils, which i was prepared to do, but the first two plates i reached for in the kitchen had bacon grease on them which made me question how clean anything was. Property manager forgot to send me welcome kit and I had to seek this info out which was stressful and disappointing. House is cute, neighborhood is more remote than expected. I was unprepared for the well water which is typical for this neighborhood but unfamiliar to me. Love the beautiful view and dock but wish the strong sulfur smell of well water had been disclosed in the listing
