SUMMARY
La Joya - meaning “The Jewel” in Spanish - is ideally located in Santa Fe’s Eastside Historic District. This luxury casa is a short easy walk (.7 miles and approximately 10-15 min walk) to the 400-year-old Plaza and less than two blocks from the famed Canyon Road! Situated in a tranquil setting, in the heart of Santa Fe’s most desirable neighborhood for those interested in taking “a walk back in time”, this home is nothing short of stunning and perfect for all groups of travelers.
LIVING AREA, KITCHEN AND DINING
La Joya's main house has a spacious open layout for the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The house is filled with natural light and boasts Santa Fe’s signature architectural features (hand-troweled and plastered walls, Vigas, Latillas, coved ceilings, tile floors, indoor and outdoor Kiva fireplaces and more) and represents the best of Santa Fe.
BED AND BATH
The layout of the house is perfect with en-suite bathrooms for four of the bedrooms. The fifth bedroom has its own king sized bedroom, living room with Kiva fireplace, kitchen, dining room, full bath and separate washer/dryer.
OUTDOOR SPACE
The private walled-in compound makes for a true feeling of escape and privacy, with a security gated entrance and ample parking (a rare find in the historic district). Enjoy several outside “portáls” and garden spaces that wrap around this house peacefully sitting on a quarter acre.
Guests will enjoy private patios and garden areas, perfect for outdoor dining.

Our family vacation to Santa Fe was superb thanks to our stay in "La Joya" - it is within walking distance to everything downtown, shops, restaurants. The house is well equipped, sun speckled, and beautiful - we were able to cook in. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. The property is 2 houses joined as one - the adjoining

We traveled with our children and grandchildren. The house was beautiful and a perfect fit for our family. Since the property was fenced/gated, we could let the grandchildren explore and play outside without fear of them wandering off. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this property.

This was the most amazing house. Beautifully furnished. The most well appointed kitchen I've ever seen. We really enjoyed the patio fireplace. Location was also good.
I highly recommend this house for anyone who wants a family reunion.

The property and decor was making! Plenty of room for a large family or group of friends that need plenty of space to spread out. Would highly recommend booking to stay here.

This place was amazing - spacious, fun to hang out and cook together, central enough to walk to many spots. We had a little issue with the coffee pot and they had a new one out to us within 2 hours. One of the better vrbo's I've been to!

Wonderful home. Loved it. Great for our Gal Pal retreat. We stayed in February so we expected snow. We had 2 vehicles and it would have been great if the drive way had cleared.

La Joya was has been one of my most favorite bookings. The house was perfect for our party of 9. We cooked breakfast and dinner everyday and had every kitchen gadget needed and then some! It was nestled in a great location close to the plaza and Round House. We walked there several times during our visit. The home was comfortable and cozy with a touch of southwest elegance. We will definitely stay here again if available next year!

Perfect setting for perfect weekend
This property really is as nice as it looks in the pictures. Everything is clean, new and great looking. We were a group of 4 couples and we hated to leave when our vacation ended.

Absolutely spectacular.
A trip delayed from 2020 for our book club. Gald we had to wait, as houses do not get any better. The house is just as the photos show, only BETTER. The location was perfect, an easy 5-10 min walk to the plaza. The house was so quite, nestled down a dusty gravel road, then a show gravel driveway to the gate to the compound. Very secure. Kitchen to die for, even though we did not cook. Overall Excellent choice. Kitchen stocked with spices, coffee, teas, etc. Recommend good shoes for walking all of the walking surfaces found in Santa Fe.....

The house was beautiful, quiet and perfect for our family getaway. It provided privacy and well maintained; as well as fully stocked with everything we needed. The whole family enjoyed their stay!

Review for La Joya in Santa Fe, NM
Everything about this home is just so perfect, I don’t know where to start. I can see why it’s named “La Joya” - the jewel.
I’ll start with location... as it’s located in the most historic part of Santa Fe - exactly where we wanted to be - so we could walk to the Plaza as well as Canyon road, so easily. Being close enough to hear the cathedral bells was lovely. We enjoyed our very short morning walk to the coffee shop in the same district, with their lovely patio area too. Such a nice start to each day. Even though this home is located in the sweet spot of town, it’s tucked away at the end of a little private drive so it felt very secluded and private- and with a security gate and garage - we were perfectly set.
The entire house was impeccably clean and all the beds were so comfortable and made up with high quality sheets. I point this out as it’s always something quite important to me when I’m renting. (And I’m a bedding snob! :)
The house itself is beautiful and spacious, yet warm and cozy. Charming Kivas, beautiful original artworks, stylish decor all pulled together so tastefully for that Santa Fe charm we were after! Kitchen is so well stocked - which was great for us as we love to cook!
A sweet back yard with two separate outdoor kiva fire places and landscaped grounds - very enchanting!
Big smart TVs, comfortable furniture - I could go on. We will definitely be back and are already planning and looking forward to our next trip to La Joya!
Oh and the folks at Two Casitas - who host this property - were absolutely fabulous to work with. So helpful and it gave us a real peace of mind to work with them to arrange this stay. Very quick to respond and help us in any way. Thank you all again for everything. 5 Star home and experience all the way!
