About this house rental

Large and comfortable waterfront house, features a master suite & a separate bath on the main floor, 2 bedrooms and full bath upstairs, and downstairs, there's a bunk room with three full-sized beds, and a full bath. Also downstairs, there's a kitchenette, a game room with a pool table, and a theater room.

Big rocking chair porch with a gas grill on main level and a patio with a porch swing below. No steep stairs to the lake. Just walk out the downstairs door, and make your way down to the lake, after passing down a few stairs to a deck with a picnic table, going down a few more stairs to a fire pit, and across the sloping grass to the dock gangway which leads to a large dock with swim platform and use of 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle-boards and life vests. Easy parking area with room for 4 cars.

The Cool Cat Cottage is perfect for family gatherings and relaxing times at the Lake. If you are planning a big party or loud celebrations into the early hours, this is not the place for you. Our neighbors are our friends and sound carries across the Lake. Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am. We are happy to share our house but please be respectful. Thanks so much for your interest.

Only comment I would say is the trail walking down to the lake needed a little maintenance. But it was close to the lake and a pretty easy trek down. Nice place. Would stay again!

The house is beautiful and fully stocked with necessities. Plenty of blankets and towels. The view is amazing and so close to the wedding venue. We love our stay and highly recommend the space. Thanks for a great week!

Great trip to the area. The house was actually slightly larger than I anticipated and the kitchen was well stocked. The amenities of the kayaks and paddle boards was a big plus. The dock was also very nice and close to the house The shared drive to the house is very narrow but thankfully I never met another vehicle coming or going so it was a non-issue. I would definitely recommend if the description meets your requirements.

Perfect location for our family attending wedding venue across the street. The home was clean and cozy. Enjoyed kayaking on the lovely lake.

The house was fantastic. So spacious and with all of the amenities. We enjoyed doing puzzles on the raised dining table, watching the many DVD movies that were available, playing pool, and paddling the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards that were available at the dock on the beautiful lake. The gas grill made cooking fast and easy. You will want to arrive with most of your food so that you only have to make one trip to a grocery store during the week of your stay. We had a fantastic family vacation.

This home was warm and inviting. Everything was clean and in good condition. The roads are tight due to houses being on a mountainside so wouldn’t want to pull a trailer to it. It’s important to know the Internet rarely works due to the trees and remoteness but once starlink arrives all should be well. The lake is amazing and we enjoyed our stay immensely! Will gladly use again!!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful, the views were breath taking and the cabin was furnished very, very nicely. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and plenty of towels and blanket. Kitchen had everything you needed. The kids loved the movie room and all the games

Stayed here for our daughters wedding at the Nantahala Wedding venue. Was in a great location and walkable to the wedding. House was clean and set up with all the amenities we needed for a great weekend. Enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch with a view of the lake.

We enjoyed this property because it was convenient to the wedding venue, Nantahala Events and it is located on beautiful Lake Nantahala. We thoroughly enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks available for our use. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc.

Property was very large and spacious and had everything we needed. Could be a bit cleaner as the kitchen was a bit greasy and there were lots of crumbs in the oven, along with dusty tables in the living room. Microwave did not work, but Kitty offered to bring a new one the next day, which we declined. Internet is barely useable, but this is the case at every property we’ve stayed at on Lake Nantahala, so it isn’t specific to this property. I would recommend this property for large families.

Such a great home, in a beautiful location! We stayed for four nights and wish we would have been able to stay longer. Drinking coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was a great way to start the day. We all thoroughly enjoyed having a private dock and the kayaks that came with the house. The bedrooms were well spread out in the house so we all felt like we had a good amount of private space. Kitchen and grill were great for cooking. Can't recommend this place enough!
