Summary:
Welcome to our stunning Townhouse located in the luxurious Gold Coast of Chicago

Located on one of the desirable & famous streets in Chicago, this property is a 5 min walk from the Gold Coast beach where you will see Lake Michigan in all of its glory. Not to mention the proximity of this property to the subway and within walking distance of Magnificent Mile. The Space:
A beautiful Townhouse nestled nicely in amongst greenery provides a great experience from first glance. Step into this vast 4 bedroom Townhouse and admire the traditional decor with modern chic touches.

There is a large reception room as you enter; perfect spot for an afternoon read, or somewhere more peaceful should you not want to use the TV in the sitting room. Walk on through to the large polished dining table and kitchen which closely follows. Fully equipped with everything to satisfy your culinary needs. Then step up the stairs into a lounge; this is a great spot in the house with comfy sofas and a fireplace, should the temperatures drop, which guests can use at their pleasure.

The living areas on located on the ground floor, with bedrooms on the 1st & 2nd floor. The house is big and open, so makes it a great place for everyone to chill out simultaneously, but equally has the privacy when you enter your room should you want some quiet time.

There is a separate garden apartment that we rent out on Airbnb too. Please do not enter this building, and have a look at our other listing through my host profile, if you'd like to expand your stay with this extra space.

Please note that this property cannot be used for parties or gatherings of any size. Please do not request this usage.

PARKING
We have a small garage located at the back of the property which can be used. It can comfortably accommodate a smaller sized car (VW Golf or similar) , however, it is not tall enough to fit SUV's, minivans, larger estate cars or trucks.

The Neighborhood:
This area of Chicago boasts some of the best restaurants, bars and cigar lounges in Chicago. A truly special place to stay!

The neighbourhood is residential, so quiet must be observed after 10pm every night,

Getting Around:
The subway is within a 5 minute walk. Bus stops at the end of the road. VERY well located property.

PARKING
We have a small garage located at the back of the property which can be used. It can comfortably accommodate a smaller sized car (VW Golf or similar), however, it is not tall enough to fit SUV's, minivans, larger estate cars or trucks.

My suggestion is, if your car matches the sizes briefly explained above, to leave your car on the road out the front, get all your luggage in, then take it round to our garage. The garage is accessed from inside the house by walking through the kitchen and down the little steps. once you walk down the 6 steps, you will see the garage door, please open and the electric button for the garage door is on the wall on the left-hand side as you walk through the door. This will open the garage.

As you walk out the front door of 71E Bellevue Pl, the access to our garage is approx 100m to the right of the property as you walk out (towards Lake Michigan) Just before 1000 N Lake Shore Plaza there is a tight turn to right, which will take you down the private road behind our house to the garage. 100m up that road you will find the garage.

We do not have permits for the street.

There are multiple multi-storey car parks all within a 10min walk of the property. The prices vary from $30-60 per day depending on proximity to the property. There are also useful websites like spotwhiz online which have road-side parking spots to rent.

Other Things to Note:
Please do not attempt to enter the basement unit, it is a separate entity.
Parties of any size are not allowed. We retain a £1k deposit for any unsolicited parties or events.
Any neighbor reports of noise are dealt with quickly via a security company - and you will be charged for their attendance.
So please ensure quiet after 10pm for all stays.

Interaction with Guests:
Contactable anytime on Airbnb. Key safe access is provided, and we have a host available for emergencies and throughout your stay to assist with anything you need.

Gorgeous, large townhouse. We loved the location and the townhouse itself. The lock box was a little confusing because there are 2. In the age of door codes, I wasn’t expecting this. Another word of note: the staircase is old and the wood is worn on some places. If you have small children or someone who is unstable on their feet you might want to consider this.

The is a beautiful historic home in a prime location just off Magnificent Mile. The home was clean and spacious. The garage was a plus. The house is conveniently located in the heart of Chicago with easy access to all Chicago’s neighborhoods. Gibson’s Steakhouse and the Original House of Pancakes are on the same street and both were hits with my teenagers. Communication with the property manager was timely and he made it easy to check in and out. I would highly recommend this property for your next trip to Chicago.

The house is really great as is the location. I generally find that AirBNB/VRBO properties tend to be much worse in reality than they seem in the listing, but I actually think they undersell this property. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 due to the messaging from the host after booking until check in. Host was very serious about no parties/events (we had no intention of this) and that post-10pm (the listing says 11pm, feels like bait and switch) must be quiet, and if not the host will call private security/evict you/shut off power and water. These are pretty serious measures to throw around and made me feel very uneasy despite having no intention of having a party. Perhaps they did have a bad experience in the past but threat of eviction/shutting off power and water is too serious unless I would have broken some law with the noise, but the mention of private security made me feel that the bar for "noise" could be unreasonably low.
