Bike and Walking Trails
Miles and miles of trails for both walking and biking. A favorite is the trail along Muskegon Lake or the trail through the Beachwood Dunes and Lake Michigan Boardwalk.

At Silver Lake (1 hour north), ride a dune buggy for a great view of the miles of massive high dunes.
NOAA:Lake Conditions
Always be aware of lake and weather conditions. Lake Michigan is a beautiful but powerful lake. Check NOAA for rip tides and never swim within 150 ft of any structure or pier. When the waves are high, we often take the grandkids to Muskegon Lake. There are several web cams to check out the view on the beaches.

My husband and I stayed in this home with our adult children and their significant others for a long weekend in August (7 people). The house is beautiful -- the pictures don't do it justice. Very nicely decorated and updated and the 3 full bathrooms were nice to have. Huge kitchen open to the dining table and living room with an enormous island with lots of stools. The porch/balcony is bigger than it seems in the pictures, and a great place to hang out or eat dinner. Unfortunately, we had some rain storms to dodge during our short stay, but we still got a fun beach afternoon in. The beach is a short 8-10 min walk from the house. The Deck restaurant/bar is right on the beach and very fun with daily live bands. We could hear the music from the porch of the house. It was also fun walking along the channel and out the pier to the light houses. The WWII submarine was very interesting right there in the channel. If we had more time we would have played pickleball at one of the venues with courts 7-12 minutes away. We will definitely be back for another visit sometime! Rose was a great host.

Awesome location and fabulous porch to enjoy, clean and well kept!

The property was clean as advertised and very spacious for our group of 6 adults. Easy Check-In and Check Out. Communication with Rose was fast and instructions were clear. Great location and the view from the covered porch was great with a nice breeze every day. The property is close to all the area attractions and has a nice walking path across the street that takes you up and down the canal that leads from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan. We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

This house was perfect for our family! Great location with only a short walk to the beach. We loved sitting outside on the deck watching the sunsets over the channel. We even got to see several deer that came every evening right in front of the house. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances which was perfect for our family dinners. Definitely would come back.

Had a great 4th of July at this lovely house - comfortable, clean, spacious, and convenient to the beach and other activities. We especially enjoyed watching the huge ships go by on their way into and out of port from the deck.

Fantastic stay other than a rough check in.
I lost an hour that I paid for due to not receiving a text code to get in.

This location is great. The walkable places make this property special. Word to the wise be careful of the guest count, even for a mean or meet up.

This is a well-designed, well-situated, and well-equipped vacation home, perfect for a friends weekend or trip with immediate or extended family.
The large porch off of the second floor kitchen is great for meals and to watch the sunsets.

Amazing unit. We walked to the beach and lighthouse every day and enjoyed watching the ships each evening from the balcony. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was stocked perfectly. We found everything we needed. Two unexpected positive surprises were the pickleball courts (4) located in a local park a few miles away and the Tiki Boiz Hawaiian food hut with such fun selections and great tastes. Rose was an amazing hostess checking in to make sure everything was ok and available for questions when needed. Many thanks for a great stay.

Rose was very communicative. The beach house was immaculate. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend watching a live show at the deck. Only a 4 minute walk. 10/10

Such a perfect home-away-from-home! The cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in, with everything we could possibly need available (beach wagon, extra blankets, games, a PERFECT porch to watch the sunset from and see boats in the canal, every utensil and kitchen product, plenty of bathroom towels. Honestly, I could go on!). The open space is so great for a small group and having 3 showers was a bonus. The best part is being so close to such an amazing beach -- walking there was a breeze. Thank you for sharing your home!

The channel house's location is AWESOME!
The channel house's location puts one in a position to enjoy what makes Muskegon awesome! Close to the beach, right on the channel with the paved pier and close to a wonderful bike trail, the house offers nearby enjoyable activities for all types. As a formal local, now living in a different state, it is a great place to stay!

Family Reunion
The property allowed us to go to the beach—fishing and swimming. The park was hood for the kids also. We were about 20 minutes from relatives in Norton Shores and North Muskegon. Great location and the sunsets were spectacular!🌅

We truly enjoyed the accommodations and the location of the beautiful home we stayed at! It was in walking distance of a great beach and a 10 min drive to a distillery that we found on Lakeshore Drive. Everyone had a great time!

Great beachfront weekend getaway
We loved this property so much. It’s tucked away with amazing views. Close to the marina for boating and walkable to Pete Marquette beach which is stunning. The house is clean, spacious and has all the amenities, well stocked with cooking utensils, all the towels you could need. The upper deck is amazing for relaxing anytime of day. We love it so much we will be back next year!

Great family vacation
The home was beautiful and very well stocked. The ability to walk to Lake Michigan or Lake Muskegon on windy days :) was a huge bonus with kiddos. Rose was quick to respond and have made this rental truly feel like a home away from home.

Wonderful attention to detail!
We had a wonderful week at the house and would definitely stay again. The attention to detail and the cleanliness was something we noticed as soon as we arrived and was appreciated by all.
The home is exactly as described and the deck offers a wonderful view of the boats coming and going. The USS Silversides right down the street is an easy walk and a great visit. We enjoyed the sunsets from a bench right next to the lighthouse that is a quick walk down the inlet walkway.
Rose has thought of everything and was easy to communicate with when we had some questions.

Great house in a great location
We had a great time at this house and would love to go back. From the front of the house there is a view of the channel to Lake Muskegon. There's a park across the street that includes a really nice beach, and Harbor Towne Marina is around the corner in case you would like to bring your boat. The house itself was incredibly nice - clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. There is a lot of space in the open kitchen/living room for socializing, although you'll probably spend most of your time on the porch. We had never been to Muskegon before, and we would love to go back.

Fantastic vacation at Lake Michigan! This home is perfectly located for a great lake visit. Within walking distance, you can go to the 3 different beaches, 2 lighthouses, 2 playgrounds, 2 outdoor restaurants, watch fisherman and boats in the channel, get ice cream, learn to kite surf, and visit a submarine museum. A little farther walk connects a boardwalk trail to a wooded trail which was perfect for my morning runs. Just a few miles down the road is a place you can buy fresh local caught fish at Fish Mongers Wife. Then you can grill, pan sear, or bake in a very well stocked kitchen. The gas stove was awesome! The home itself is well laid out for family with children with cozy spots to hang out and games to play. The outdoor patio is prefect to watch sunsets and the boats in the channel and enjoy friends and family. The beds and linens were super comfy and the place was super clean. We hope to come back here again soon! Veronika

Beautiful home in great location!
We came into town for my brothers wedding and I was bringing my husband and our 2 kids (ages 2 & 3.5), as well as my parents. This home was absolutely perfect for our stay! It was in such a great location, so we walked to the beach daily, the kids loved being able to walk to the playgrounds everyday, watching the boats and ships in the harbor every day, and we even got to see multiple deer every morning and evening! The street is quiet so it was perfect for my kids to ride their scooters without worrying about cars around, and some of our favorite restaurants were nearby - two in walking distance!
The home was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and had everything we would need and more. Rose was so great to communicate with and even had a gate delivered while we were there for our 2 year old daughter who might try to wander downstairs, which was so incredibly thoughtful! The check in process was smooth and we all enjoyed our time so much. We’re originally from Muskegon, but haven’t been back in a while and Rose’s home made it feel like we came back “home” as well.
Will definitely want to stay here again when we come back to West Michigan!

Awesome house has everything!
My family & I enjoyed this house tremendously. It is right next to the channel for ship watching & across the street from the park & the amazing beaches. It has super comfy beds & pillows. Plus every amenity in the kitchen we could've possibly needed for cooking for 8 people. There was plenty of space and the loft provides an amazing view of Lake Michigan.
The only thing we would've liked was a bigger grill for that many people staying at once.
The cleanliness was A+++. Not a cobweb or a speck of dust in sight made us all feel very comfortable.
If we were to return, I would rent this property again. I would also recommend it to others.
