Our family (six adults and four children under 9) enjoyed a return visit for another wonderful summer vacation at The Haven in Bluffton,. The home is spacious to easily accommodate our family groups. It was really nice having two kitchens, both fully stocked with all the dishware and cooking equipment needed. We brought paper plates and bowls for snacks and some meals to save on washing dishes. Other paper goods (towels, tissues, t.p.) were well stocked in closets throughout the house. The large grassy backyard was perfect for playing games and sitting around the fire to cook S'mores and tell stories. The kids enjoyed the family "fishing derby" from the deck. The dock was convenient for a one-day pontoon rental. We had four great days at the Harbour Towne Beach and one day at Pere Marquette Beach. Beach chairs are provided in a bin on the deck along the channel, though we brought some of our own. The provided collapsible beach wagon is helpful for hauling gear to the nearby beach. Some of us drove our cars this short distance, just for the convenience of hauling chairs, beach bags, inflatables, and lunch coolers. (We brought our own floats and rafts) Note: there is a parking fee for this lot and we all bought a season pass, which is also good for the Pere Marquette beach and visiting The Deck restaurant. Parking lot attendants are checking cars regularly at both areas. Our kids and grandkids all agree that this was a perfect place to enjoy our beach vacation!

We had a wonderful time here for our annual trip to Michigan. The house was perfect for our four young boys, our parents, and sister and nephew. We loved watching all the boats and did lots of fishing on the deck and boardwalk. There was plenty of space in the house so that we didn't feel cramped and everything was extremely clean and organized. We appreciated the well stocked kitchens and bathrooms, and having a second kitchen and refrigerator was very convenient. The backyard was the perfect size for yard games and a campfire, and the sunsets were beautiful! The location is terrific and we made the short walk to the Muskegon Lake beach several times. The Pere Marquette beach was also fun with bigger waves! This was definitely at the top of our favorite vacation spots and we hope to come back!

The Haven at Bluffton was the perfect place for our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 children - 2 yrs of age to 7). The house is beautiful, the location is fabulous, and there was plenty of rooms and space for everyone. Having 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms is a huge bonus, and the house is extremely well stocked with plenty of everything. We made the most of our time at the two very close beaches, fishing from the backyard patio/dock area, and enjoying all of the sitting places to watch the many boats, freighters, and cruise ships pass through the channel. We stayed at The Haven for a week and none of us were ready to leave. Giving The Haven at Bluffton a 5 star rating is an understatement -- the place (and the hosts) are fabulous!

We had my wife and myself, two adult kids and their spouses, and two grandkids 5 and 2. Everyone had plenty of private space and there was lots of common area space. Two full kitchens was a bonus for the early risers. Kids loved fishing off the back yard dock (no-miss with worms) and the beach was only a very short walk away. We docked our rental boat on our lake day (super convenient to load and pick up passengers).
We had a great time. Chuck and Kathy have an awesome property and are magnificent hosts!

The MI home was the most beautiful, well maintained home we’ve rented. Literally, we wanted for nothing—the bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen were well stocked. We really took advantage of the double kitchens and literally never went out to eat. The location was absolutely beautiful and so entertaining as boats large and small paraded by. We purchased day fishing licenses and fished off our private dock. Kathy and Chuck provided excellent service. The place was exceptionally clean. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was a 10 star experience!

My husband and I along with our adult children, 11 of us, stayed Labor Day weekend and had a great time! The cottage was beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved the outdoor space and enjoyed watching the boats go by.

We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids and this property had an incredible amount of space. The 2nd kitchen and fridge was great and much needed for a week long stay. The location to the beach and biking distance was amazing. I would highly recommend this property to a group looking for a beach vacation stay.

Our family of 10 stayed in this beautiful home very comfortably for a week. We had kids as young as 3 and grandparents up to 70. The location of the property was ideal with our choice of 2 lakes and great boat and bird watching. The yard was a fun and safe place for the kids to play when we were at home. The home is stocked with everything you need. Property managers were immediately accessible and touched base with us to see how it was going. Boat traffic was super fun and just gar enough away to not be intrusive. We will definitely consider going back. The Chase Family.

This is a gorgeous property. During the week we enjoyed seeing three lake freighters, a cruise ship, several party boats and a host of sailboats and pleasure craft. The area is close to so many attractions including wineries and breweries. It was such a delight to wake up with the grandchildren. The caretakers Chuck and Kathy were quick to respond to problems (which were few). We had a wonderful vacation!

We all agreed that the home was spacious and easily accommodated our family groups. It was really nice hving two kitchens, both fully stocked with all the dishware and cooking equipment you need. We brought paper bowls and small paper plates for snacks, which get a lot of use by the little ones in our family! Other paper goods (towels, tissues, t.p.) were well stocked in closets throughout the house.
The large grassy backyard was perfect for playing games, e.g. corn-hole, bubble-making contests, and for sitting around the fire to cook S'mores and tell stories.
The children AND adults got a thrill whenever a Big Boat passed by in the channel. Fishing from the deck was easy, though no one caught a fish.
We had four lovely days at the Harbour Towne Beach, which is a short walk from the house. The beach was Perfect for our four small kids; clean sand, large shallow area, warm water, and no big waves. Beach chairs are provided at the house (in a bin on the deck along the channel) to accommodate all of our group. There is a collapsible beach wagon at the house, which is helpful for hauling gear to the beach. Some of us drove our cars this short distance, just for the convenience of hauling chairs, beach bags and blowing up our inflatables in the parking lot (we brought our own floats and rafts from home) Note: there is a parking fee for this lot and we all bought a season pass, which is also good for the Pere Marquette beach, and going to The Deck restaurant. The Parking attendants are checking cats regularly at both of those areas.
Our stay at The Haven provided everything we were looking for this year for our summer vacation, and hope we can come back again!

The housing layout worked out great! The families with the youngest kids stayed on the lower floor and had access to their own kitchen. The middle floor was for the family with teenagers. And we stayed upstairs. We found plenty to do...ship watch, beach, museum, submairne tour, play games on the lawn, dinner at The Deck and on Friday went to "Party in the Park". Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful! If I had questions I would send a quick text and manager responded quickly...all went well. I would be happy to stay again at this property.

Our family from around the glide gathered for a week of fun and reconnecting. The house was large and comfortable enough for everyone’s liking. It came fully equipped with anything you could possibly want or need. The decks and yard space allowed for us to relax with stunning views of the deep water channel yet close to sugar sand beaches and glorious Lake Michigan. The only downside was it went by too fast!

The house was large, clean, modern, and well appointed (though there was a lot of owner "clutter" in the closets, cupboards and drawers which made putting food and clothing away a challenge. The location couldn't have been better with the large backyard, the deck and dock for our boats, the shallow and sheltered (from the wind) beach within walking distance, and the marina and waterside restaurant also within walking distance. Also being right on the channel between Lake Michigan and Lake Muskingum was terrific allowing us to walk the boardwalk (or people-watch it from our balconies) and watch boats and ships of all sizes go back and forth all day. A wonderful overall experience!

The house was great for our extended family of 11 with kids 2 -9 years old. We all enjoyed the view from the deck watching the variety of boats coming through the ship channel, visiting the beaches and museum nearby and playing games in the grassy yard. Ed was very responsive to our questions about the house and points of interest.

Great family time
There are places inside and out to talk, read, play games and eat. We had two people who had to work remotely and they were able to do so. Having a nice lawn was great with a toddler. The fishing area was kind of weedy so we were glad we brought a boat. Prepare to buy ice for the main floor if you don't want to go downstairs each time you want it.

We had the best time at this gem on the channel! The size was perfect for our group of extended family of 11. The kids could fish off the back deck while the adult enjoyed the views and watching boats go by. A quick walk to the Lake Muskegon beach or a long stroll/bike ride down the channel to Lake Michigan made it easy for everyone to do as they wish. We loved sunset dinners at The Deck and Dockers, and a quick drive to the great shops and restaurants downtown! We will be back!!!

We have stayed at this property a couple times now over the past few years when our family reunion brings us to town. This is an excellent property that can easily accommodate multiple families coming together to enjoy all that Muskegon has to offer. Walk to the beach on Muskegon Lake or take a short drive up to Pierre Marquette and all the beach fun of Lake Michigan. The owners of this property have thought of so many little things to include in an effort to make your stay that much better. We would highly recommend and will continue to enjoy for years to come!

We enjoyed our one week vacation in Muskegon. It was great to have two beaches since the Muskegon Lake water was typically 4 or 5 degrees warmer than Michigan Lake water. We enjoyed watching the boats going into and out of the lake, along with the bike and walking trails.

This house was amazing! It had everything we could ask for and more. It was extremely clean, the beds were so comfortable and the house was completely stocked with everything we needed. Great for large families or multiple families traveling together. The deck and the back yard were incredible. We spent every morning having coffee outside and just watching the boats go by. Ed was best! He was a great resource and was so responsive and helpful whenever we had a question about the house or needed a restaurant/activity recommendation. The overall process of checking in and checking out was so easy. My family and I were able to just enjoy our trip without having to worry about anything. Our family had such a great trip in large part because of this house and I would definitely recommend it to any family (large or small) that is looking for a relaxing and peaceful escape in Muskegon!

Great Family Vacation
We stayed a week at the house and it was wonderful. We brought our adult children and 4 grandkids, ages 4, 5, 6, and 9. They loved it and two of them cried when we left. The house was spacious enough for our 10 people. It is very well stocked with anything you may need. We rented a boat for the week and had so much fun tubing. Thank you to Ed for the suggestion of where to rent. The kids all loved fishing right off of the deck. My biggest concern was how far beach was. To my surprise it was right down the block. It was very clean and not overly crowded. We were there almost daily. The only thing about the house I would change is the amount of breakable decor that is throughout the entire house. We moved some of it out of the way so we would have no accidents with the kids, which thankfully, we did not. Other than that, a perfect stay. Ed, the property manager is great. He responds quickly to emails and was very welcoming and hospitable. I would recommend this house for a great time.

Good times thanks to Ed.
Ed’s the best. Responded fast. Provided us with kayaks, bikes, restaurant recommendations (take out), and even let us borrow his large lobster pot. Giving the house 5 stars would have been a slam dunk if it wasn’t for the lady next door who yelled at our grandkids (ages 9-14) the first evening we arrived. After that, the family felt a little self-conscious in the backyard. We’ve had 9 family vacations together and this house was better supplied and decorated than any place we've stayed--and we've stayed at some very beautiful homes. Excellent, comfortable open floor plan. And the setting is ideal. It's situated on a channel between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake with sandy beaches well maintained at both. We watched boats and freighters go by and the grandkids fished. There’s a boat dock off a well-landscaped open backyard and deck. We rented two boats and it was easy to get on them. Good time during this challenging period.

Perfect locoation
Very clean and large home. lots of visual access to the boats coming in and out of the channel. Walking distance to both the Lake Michigan beach as well as the less crowded and warmer Towne Harbor beach. Management was very responsive and helpful. Only quible we had was the volume of owner furnishings and decor made it hard to find places for our own items. Empy cupboards, drawers and surfaces make week long stays much easier for groups to put away items.
5.0
Nice
Very Well stocked house. Ed was a great host. Even bringing over kayaks for us to use. Nice location and view of channel. Only con is that house is not furnished ideally for children, with lots of breakable decor and glass furniture.
